Nomura had already said 3D was apart of KH3 back in 2010!

Well duh, but he is saying 3D is part of KH3.

I think I knew about this. But, I've never seen this footage before.

Nomura's word of mouth was just a marketing tactic to get you to get the game and it worked. Fact of the matter is, this doesn't add anything new to what we already know.

Leave him alone

It's really not that serious. I just thought it was funny.

Exactly, we all know Nomura is making this up as he goes. Quite frankly the fact that 3D was once part of KH3 worries. Nomura now has a hell of a lot of loose ends to tie up. Especially with all the plot he's trying to shoehorn in with X and UCX.

X and Unchained X fits in better than Kingdom Hearts 3D (and even Birth by Sleep) because it's the distant past. Therefore, Nomura can add new elements in the X universe as it's guaranteed to transition smoothly into Kingdom Hearts III. Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance on the other hand have their fair share of loose ends to elaborate upon by the time Kingdom Hearts III comes by because both games directly involved Sora, Riku and Kairi beyond the numbered games.

Never a doubt in my mind. Really when you think about it KH 3D is in it's nature a prologue to KH3, in name, story, gameplay, everything. That's why I'm kind of disappointed they altered the title a bit in 2.8. I mean, yeah it's a cleaver change and I understand that there's a possibility that they might not have included the 3D feature as well, but it was still a cleaver tie in to the final story of the saga. Plus, 3D is just easier to say than DDD all the time. Well regardless, I don't care if the effect is shallow or not, I'm still going to turn on my TV's basic 3D effect whenever I play this game, lol. <3

So many people have it backwards. KH3 isn't as massive as it is because he has to tie the side games together, the side games exist because KH3 is so massive stat it would be impossible to tell the whole story in just one game. After KH2 he had a strong Idea of where he wanted the story of KH3 to go and he knew that to fulfil that story, he had to tell several others otherwise it wouldn't make sense. He needed to explore Xehanort's past (BbS) Roxas' time in the Organization (Days) Thje period of Riku's absence (also Days) and the period of the King's absence (0.2). But even then he realized that there wasn't enough room to reveal Xehanoprt's full plan, and everythign else in KH3 so he made 3D.

We all know that he obviously didn't have every single detail planned out, but he had the broad strokes and had to take several ste[ps to get the story where he ultimately wanted it to go.

The thing is, how can they put 3D in as the PS4 doesn't have that?

It just takes place some time after KH3D that's all.

They have figure it out for 2.8 we will see.

Isamu_Kuno said it perfectly, he already had an Idea of 3's story before 3D. Plus, when you play that game it's painfully obvious that it was meant to be apart of KH3's story. That ending with Xehanort screams KH3.

The thing is, how can they put 3D in as the PS4 doesn't have that?

If you mean in 2.8, they just disabled it and altered the graphics

If you meant for KH3, 3D was probably just a code name or he spoke in the past participle

I'm pretty sure that the 3D featured has been removed entirely. Instead, you can play at a smooth 60 frames per second.

No, as in all 3D TVs can still display a shallow 3D effect on the image, regardless of whether the image is in stereoscopic 3D or not. It's more like an added depth feature than full on 3D. So even if there is no "true" 3D with KH 3D, I can still technically enjoy it in 3D.

And don't get me wrong, 60 frames are cool, but I think I prefer one gimmick over another, especially since I'm not really used to seeing games like KH in 60 per second (even the Winnie the Pooh minigames in Re:CoM looked too rapid for me). It's just a preference. :P

All I got from this is that Nomura mentions the game had 3d in the title, and that the 3 implies it could be the 3rd game. Nothing to say it's apart of KH3.
