From the looks of it, it's just something like Ameba Pigg.

Never heard of this game.

It's been around since 2008, apparently.

Lol. Nice find.

About Nicotto Town:

Nicotto Town is a “picture book-like imaginary life community” managed by Smile Lab, a company of the Square Enix Group.

It started in September 29th 2008 as a Community Service where you could enjoy an imaginary life on the Internet with an Avatar in picture book-like art style. Currently, more than 1,4 million people have signed up.

Wait, since apparently this game isn't on the Square circuit and I need to actually sign up instead of just using my Square account... as long as I use the same e-mail I'm good, right? Or do I have to do something else to make sure it counts? Mm...

I'll only be sure of that once I sign up for the game...

And the credibility of this game sinks down yet another rung on the ladder...

It's called fanservice. Fanservice doesn't lower it's credibility.

Fanservice is also very popular in japan. It'd be werid for them not to do stuff like this.

Just because there may be things in it you don't like, does not mean the game loses credibility. Just means you don't like what they do with it. Which is fine, but since Nomura is connecting things from this game to KH3 and keeps talking about it I'd say it's quite credible indeed.

No amount of "fanservice" or anything else will make me think this piece-of-crud game with its fat, Moogle-esque cat thing will be anything credible to the Kingdom Hearts lore.

I didn't mean the fanservice made it credible. Fanservice is just fanservice and nothing else.

Fan service (ファンサービス fan sābisu?)fanservice, or service cut (サービスカット sābisu katto?),[1][2] is a term originating from anime and manga fandom for material in a series which is intentionally added to please the audience.[3] It is about "servicing" the fan[4] - giving the fans "exactly what they want".[5] Fan service usually refers to "gratuitous titillation", but can also refer to intertextual references to other series.[3][6]

It's credible, because the creator of the series says it is.

Nomura: The scenarios of KH3 and KHχ (Key) are intimately related, so they are being written at the same time. That’s why the plot of KHχ (Key) has been on pause for a little while, and I am very sorry, but I have to ask you to please wait a little longer. We are also currently investigating developments that would allow more people to experience KHχ (Key)

As for the cat, he's based off of Nomura's own pet cat in real life.

You don't have to insult my intelligence by trying to tell me the definition of fan service, thank you.

That's not what I meant by it. There's different types of fanservice so I thought..Nevermind

I'm sorry

I can understand why you don't want it to be credible, but there are parts that connect to the rest of the series, so the story is credible itself

This still isn't as bad as PotC in KH2, so it's a moot point.

She was trying to explain clearly why fan service doens't lower the game's credibility. By no means she tried to insult you.
