Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ updated to Version 1.2.0 on 30 March 2016, focusing heavily on UI updates and changes based on fan responses to the questionnaire published in late February. Major updates include changing the layout of the Quest screen, the introduction of "Skip Tickets" which allow a player to bypass a difficult mission, and finally patching the bug that allowed the buff medal “Kairi KH Version”'s ability to last beyond the allotted time.

Current players will be given 10 Skip Tickets, which will allow a player to automatically clear the mission and will clear all 3 Mission Challenges as well.

Players must install the update from either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. For iOS, you'll simply need to log in with your Japanese Apple ID within the Apple App Store and download the update from there. For Android users, please follow this guide.

You can read translations of the update notes below thanks to News Team member Katie Armstrong.

The 2016 Classic FM Hall of Fame is reaching the end and once again Yoko Shimomura's amazing work in Kingdom Hearts has reached 31st place with 'March Caprice for Piano and Orchestra' from the first Kingdom Hearts game! Last year, the main theme, or Hikari 光 (Simple and Clean) Orchestral Instrumental Version, ranked at 30th place, so this year it did go down by one place but it is still amazing that Kingdom Hearts managed to stay so high in the rankings!

'The Other Promise' was also available to vote for, but unfortunately didn't make it into the final 300. There are a few other compositions though that did make it in the top 300 and also featured in Kingdom Hearts series:
'He's a Pirate' ranked at 264th (featured in Kingdom Hearts II)
'A Night on the Bare Mountain' ranked at 223rd (featured in Kingdom Hearts I & Dream Drop Distance)
'Nutcracker' ranked 61st (featured in Dream Drop Distance)
'Symphony No.6 in F major Op.68' ranked at 8th (featured in Dream Drop Distance)

What do you think of Kingdom Hearts' place in the top 300? A good place for it to be or do you think it should have been better? Leave your comments below and show your appreciation for Yoko Shimomura's magnificent work throughout the franchise!

During a Q&A session at MomoCon 2015 with the creators of the popular cartoon Gargoyles (1994 - 1997), they revealed that their hit show had the potential of being featured as one of the worlds in Kingdom Hearts. However, some unfortunate circumstances caused the project to be halted because of the fact that some team members "left Disney", as Greg Weisman, co-creator of Gargoyles, points out. You can check out Greg Weisman's response in full below, starting at 55:13:

Thanks to
, we've got a first look at the Keyblade as the Ultimate Unlock in Disney Infinity 3.0. The footage shows off a Mickey figure using the King Mickey power disc given away at D23 and how the Keyblade works both when in action and when it's not in use.

When the Keyblade is not in use, the playable character will tuck the Keyblade into a sheath that is based off of the heart shape found in all of the logos of the Kingdom Hearts series.

When the Keyblade is used for attacks, it can function in a variety of ways. When at a distance, the Keyblade will send out magic spells that seem similar to the fire and blizzard spells seen in the series. When in close range to enemies, the character will perform short combos with the Keyblade.

The Keyblade will be available as the Ultimate Unlock starting on March 15th, 2016.

Utada Hikaru, known for performing the opening songs "Simple and Clean" and "Sanctuary" for the Kingdom Hearts series, has officially announced her return to music. Hikaru has been on a 5-year hiatus that is now officially over. Via Hikaru's website, she is currently working on two projects: The first song she announced is the opening song titled "Hantaba wo Kibi ni" for the NHK drama Toto Nee-chan and the second is going to serve as the ending song for NTV's news program News Zero. This song's title will be released later on. Both of these songs are scheduled to be used by April 4th, so look forward to hearing Hikaru's new songs then.

In celebration of the musician's return, she has launched a new website that features an animated Cherry Blossom tree. As fans use a special hashtag on Twitter (#おかえりHIKKI or #WelcomebackHIKKI) or as fans buy her new songs, the animated tree will grow more and more flowers. This is a charity event called the "New-Turn" project. Money raised as part of this project will go toward planting cherry blossom trees in areas affected by the 2011 Tohaku earthquake and tsunami.

Of course, this does not confirm Hikaru's involvement in Kingdom Hearts III, but her official return to music is certainly a good sign. Now that Utada Hikaru has officially returned to music, what are your hopes for her involvement in Kingdom Hearts III? Would you like to see her return, or would you rather have someone else? On March 4th the executive producer of Disney Infinity @John Vignocchi confirmed on Twitter that Disney interactive will not have a booth at this year's E3:

In response to a fan on Twitter, voice actor Steve Burton, the voice of Cloud in the Kingdom Hearts series, claims he will be recording for Kingdom Hearts III "in a few weeks". This would obviously mark the return of Cloud in Kingdom Hearts III, and seems to validate recent remarks from Jim Cummings and Bill Farmer, who both also claim they have done some recording for Kingdom Hearts III.

Bill Farmer, the voice actor for Goofy in the Kingdom Hearts series, was recently interviewed on an episode of the "2 Men and The Mouse" podcast. The host asks Bill about his experience with the Kingdom Hearts series, and Bill explains the process and why he thinks Kingdom Hearts is so popular. Bill is then asked about recording for Kingdom Hearts III. He confirms that he has been recording for Kingdom Hearts III off and on for "years, now", thus solidifying his questionable tweet made last year in which he claimed he was finished recording for Kingdom Hearts III and that it would release in 2015. In this podcast, he again clarifies it was Kingdom Hearts III he was referencing in his tweet, and not one of the side games. According to Bill, since he was done recording, he figured the game would be released relatively soon. He is now unsure when the game will release, and is also unsure if he will be recording for Kingdom Hearts III again soon.

You can listen to the entire podcast here. The questions regarding Kingdom Hearts begin at 57:54, and the question regarding Kingdom Hearts III begins at 1:03:00.
