Kingdom Hearts III manga Chapter 9 now available in English from Yen Press

Chapter 9 for the Kingdom Hearts III manga is now available in English from Yen Press. World of Darkness can be bought as a digital download from Amazon, Book Walker, ComiXology, Google Play, iBooks, and Kobo. The issue's price varies from $1.99 for the United States to $2.99 in Canada.

Chapter 9 was released in Japanese on Gangan Online back on April 16th. Chapter 10 is planned to release on Gangan Online in early June.

Keiji Fujiwara (Japanese Voice of Axel/Lea) Passes Away at the Age of 55

Keiji Fujiwara, the Japanese voice actor of Axel/Lea, passed away on April 12th after fighting cancer. He was 55 years old at the time of his passing.

Keiji Fujiwara was born on October 5th, 1964 in Tokyo Japan. He began his acting career in 1983 and continued until his passing. In addition of voicing in anime, he usually dubbed American shows and movies including being the Japanese voice for the Joker and Iron Man as well as dubbing the voice for Robert Downey Jr. 
In addition of voicing Axel/Lea, Fujiwara also voiced Reno in Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII Remake as well as Ardyn in Final Fantasy XV. 
Rest in peace Keiji Fujiwara and thank you for bringing the voice of everybody's favorite red-haired pyro to the Japanese audience.

Kingdom Hearts (Including the Other Promise) finishes at #245 on Classic FM Hall of Fame 2020

Classic FM have begun revealing their annual Hall of Fame list this weekend. After not being included in 2019's list, Kingdom Hearts Composer Yoko Shimomura has reappeared on the list. Kingdom Hearts (including the Other Promise) finished at #245. 
A description of Yoko from the Hall of Fame list can be read below.
This marks the 5th year that Yoko has made an appearance on the Classic FM Hall of Fame. In 2015, she placed 30th while in 2016 she placed 31st. In 2017, she finished 119th and in 2018 she finished 188th. 
Other musical compositions that have been showcased in the Kingdom Hearts series have also made it into the top 300 list for Hall of Fame 2020, including the following:
"A Night on the Bare Mountain" ranked at no. 277 "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl" ranked at no. 190 "Final Fantasy Series (including One-Winged Angel)" ranked at no. 171 "Nutcracker" ranked at no. 10 "Symphony no. 6 in F Major Op.68 (Pastoral)" ranked at no. 17 Congratulations to Yoko Shimomura and her success in making Classic FM's Hall of Fame list for the 5th time!

Kingdom Hearts III Manga Volume 1 available for pre-order for April 11th, 2020 release in Japan; priced at ¥660 ($6)

The first volume of the Kingdom Hearts III manga published by Shiro Amano is currently available for pre-order on Amazon Japan for ¥660! It is slated for an April 11th, 2020 release.

GAME NOVELS Kingdom Hearts III Vol. 3 Remind Me Again available for pre-order on Amazon Japan for ¥1,320 (about $12.00); scheduled to release on May 28th, 2020

The 3rd and final volume of the Kingdom Hearts III light novel is available for pre-order on Amazon Japan. GAME NOVELS Kingdom Hearts III Remind Me Again will cover the events from the Caribbean, San Fransokyo, and the Keyblade Graveyard as well as the events in Kingdom Hearts III Re: Mind. 
The novel will cost ¥1320 (about $12.00) and is schedule to be released on May 28th, 2020 for Japan. You can view the cover for Vol.3 below.

Kingdom Hearts III wins Excellence in Animation at the 2020 SXSW Gaming Awards

Kingdom Hearts III has yet added another award to their collection. This time, the game won the award for Excellence in Animation at the 2020 SXSW Awards. Other games that were included in the category were Apex Legends, Death Stranding, Luigi's Mansion 3, and Mortal Kombat 11.
 
Kingdom Hearts Co-Director Tai Yasue accepted the award on behave of the development team with a video that was posted on SWSX's Youtube page. You can check it out by clicking here. This is the 2nd award the game also won in 2020. Kingdom Hearts III also won for Original Dramatic Score (Franchise) at the 19th annual NAVGTR awards back in February. Congratulations to Kingdom Hearts III, Square Enix, Pixar, and Disney for winning this award!
