In an interview with Famitsu Weekly magazine, Tetsuya Nomura, the director of the Kingdom Hearts series, has confirmed the reason behind Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is that Kingdom Hearts III is even further away than fans would hope. He also confirmed that the title is being made simultaneously with Kingdom Hearts III. This suggests that the development of Kingdom Hearts III, which has been in development since 2010, may be affected in some capacity. Nomura also confirmed Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage – will use Kingdom Hearts III's technology and will only last the duration of one Disney world. It is set straight after the secret movie in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix. They plan on using using gameplay elements from Kingdom Hearts III. The cinematic title in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover will also show off Kingdom Hearts III's technology according to Gematsu. When asked for a time frame regarding the release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8, Nomura said they cannot announce a certain time frame due to it being developed with Kingdom Hearts III.

  12. The Australian Classification Board has rated Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ "G", for everyone. This rating, which appeared on the online database on September 3, 2015, is the first indication that Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ will be releasing outside of Japan and North America. An Australian release is now all but confirmed, and with that we can also assume a European release. However, it is still unclear if the game will be localised into other European languages. In the credits for Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, found under settings we have noticed Success Corporation, the developers of Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] were one again contracted by Square Enix to co-develop Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ for iOS & Android. However, unlike Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] which was handled by Square Enix's Business Division 11, Square Enix's Business Division 3 were working on this title. Business Division 3 is of course the Business Division where the Kingdom Hearts team is hard at work on Kingdom Hearts III. Square Enix also has two other titles in development in BD3 with the 25th anniversary title for SaGa and World of Final Fantasy. Don't be confused though, these are different teams. Shinji Hashimoto is the corporate executive of Business Division 3.
  15. Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ is now available to download in Japan via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for iOS & Android devices respectively. You can view the app listings on both stores with the links below, with system requirements provided. Unfortunately, most users will be locked out of downloading the app from the stores directly, as the app is restricted to Japan-only. However, there are ways to get around this and you can check out our iOS guide and Android guide for installing the game outside of Japan. iOS Android Additionally, Tetsuya Nomura, the director of the Kingdom Hearts series has released a sketch to celebrate the launch of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ. It features Ephemera and Chirithy. You can view it below. Lastly, here are the title screen opening movie and the tutorial opening movie for Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ: Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ is a port of the Japan exclusive web browser game, Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] for iOS & Android devices. It is a free-to-play app with optional in-app-purchases. It has been confirmed for a release in North America, unfortunately there has been no announcement at this time of when it will release in English or other languages.
