  1. i have to pick where i want to go on my senior trip and idk idk i'm so torn like europe sounds awesome but so does paradise island and disney and i have no idea where to pick
  2. Yeah, it's not nearly enough after all we've done to Native Americans, but I think at least for now it's a nice start. They're also going to change the name of the R**skins football team to something less offensive, so I think as a nation we're moving in the right direction. Ahh yeah New Zealand didn't make the same mistakes America did in terms of abusing people as far as I know, so it makes sense you'd only have a few.
  3. True, and I don't mean to say all Christians, but a lot of the active ones in my experience tend to be particularly...well, yeah, all the stuff I said before. I should probably revise my original statement a little: I really don't mean all Christians. But I live near DC, and this is where all of the massive Christian anti-choice and anti-gay marriage rallies happen, so I can't say a lot of the ones near me are very likable. I know not all Christians are like that and there are some pretty shitty atheists out there too, but my issue is that there's a whole belief system (and there are other ones too that do this, but America is predominantly Christian, so I see Christian intolerance more often than any other religion) that some people interpret to mean they can stop other people from marrying or choosing what to do with their own body
  4. I'm quoting you to answer your question and some other people that I didn't get a chance to. There is a Native American history month. And in response to all of the people saying it's unfair only black people get it: there is also a Hispanic history month, women's history month, Asian-Pacific history month, and probably like a ton of others--those are just ones off the top of my head.
  5. It's not really that I have a thing against Christians, but as a whole, I've literally never met a collective of more close-minded oppressive people. I guess I have more of an issue with the intolerant "gay people are sinners" "anti-choice" etc. ones, which honestly seem to make up a good portion of the religion. (AKA, if you're Christian and you're a legit nice person, I don't mean you.) Plus I really just can't stand people pushing their religion onto others, and in my experience, they're the ones who do it the most.
  6. Literally every month is white history month, can't you finally let someone else have a month in their honor?
  7. yes, that can be extremely offensive, because of the obvious sexist dynamic. it's sad because a lot of girls (myself included) called themselves tomboys when they were little because even at that age i realized that the world's a sexist place and no one's ever going to treat me equally as a girl, so i tried to get people to see me as a boy. there are plenty more reasons but that's it for me.

  9. Aaron has no girlfriend. That's a cover up to hide his secret marriage to DC.
  10. If we completely ignore the fact that at least half of this site is composed of children and this country would probably collapse in less than a day, at least it would have the coolest ruling couple in history (dc x aaron for life)
  11. Shana and I make a pretty badass team I'm just sayin'
  12. oh whoopsie I should mention that Sacha and I are actually mostly kidding about being engaged. It was kind of a joke since we're 16 and 17.
  13. I hope my thread didn't prompt any bad memories! D: Anyway, there's really no reason for anyone to be bugging you about that. I mean you think people would actually admire more the people who didn't date? It's the kids dating who have so much drama that their grades drop, their weekends are full of worrying about someone else, sometimes they run away together. From a parental perspective, I'd assume you'd rather that a kid didn't date until they were out of high school and that whole we're-all-socially-awkward-and-hate-school phase. When the time comes, you'll find someone, and imo it's probably better that you're waiting and can focus on yourself right now rather than worrying about someone else too.
  14. Uhh, what does this have to do with my question though? There's nothing wrong with those things though! I was just bringing up his size because when I was learning Tae Kwon Do, I was the only little kid there, so they wanted me to spar with my dad instead of a random adult so I wouldn't get hurt. So I learned how to fight against someone exactly his size--that was the only reason I brought it up. So don't feel bad about those things omg. I actually think geeky people are really cute, so I'm sure you'll find someone.
  15. my extensive knowledge of the american presidents is wooing roxsox
  16. ahh I think he already knows I'm bi though because I've mentioned my ex boyfriend before Yeah they notice but they're like, "oh, he's a nice guy, he just really wants a girlfriend. He's bipolar, you should feel bad for him." I'm like firetruck that I don't give a damn about him if he won't take no for an answer. I guess I'm probably going to end up telling my principal tomorrow, but that feels like chickening out. I know I'm letting pride get in the way, but dang I'd really like to beat him up. He's really tall and pretty overweight, and those are the exact kind of guys I had to fight in Tae-Kwon-Do. It would be nice to get to finally use those skills irl. But anyway, thank you. I'm gonna tell someone tomorrow and just cross my fingers that it works out okay.
  17. I'm almost like scared to tell one of my teachers though?? I go to a very, very tiny school--there are only 6 other kids in my grade, and I know it's going to stir up giant controversy if I get a teacher involved. I just wish the "NO" would get through to them.
  18. That's actually probably the meanest thing I've ever heard. Yeah, honestly I hadn't thought of lying about a relationship. It seems really obvious in retrospect omg As beautiful as this would be, he smells disgusting and I don't even want to be within a mile of him.
  19. So yeah, I'm legitimately curious. I don't know why, but this (school) year I've had 3 different guys try to ask me out and it's making me extremely uncomfortable. I tell them straight up no, sorry, but one of them will not stop trying to talk to me. I have told him he's creeping me out and to leave me alone, but it's obviously not working. (BTW if you are a boy, hint: no one will ever respect you and will probably want you dead if someone says no and you keep asking) He has no concept of personal space and doesn't seem to realize that I've said NO. So how do y'all handle this kind of thing? Is there anything specific you've said that's gotten someone to lay off? Because I've gotten to the point I'm probably going to beat him up and get expelled if he doesn't shut up.
