  1. Well that study seems to support the idea that the gossip he is talking about makes you feel better since it classifies as "warning" someone else about another's behavior. I don't really care to debate this, the point is it's a normal feeling.
  2. I didn't say it because "a lot of people do it". I remembered reading a study on it a while back http://www.cbsnews.com/news/is-gossip-bad-for-you-new-study-finds-health-benefits/ http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/health/story/health/story/2012-01-22/Gossiping-may-be-good-for-you-study-says/52694372/1 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1388946/Psst-Did-know-gossips-good-It-helps-tell-friend-foe-say-scientists.html http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/health/2012/01/18/gossip-might-be-good-for-you/ The gist of it is that when you share gossip that "warns" others about another person cheating/being rude/doing bad things/annoying/whatever, you feel better.
  3. I think it's a normal feeling. Gossip is actually good for the human brain, so of course people are going to do it. Even if you find out people are gossiping, it's probably not a big deal. Since everyone seems to feel this way, and obviously not everyone is super annoying, it's probably nothing to worry about.
  4. I can't watch the video because my internet is acting funky but I really loved Pacific Rim! I can't wait for a new movie ahhh! I'm a little surprised though, because I thought it didn't do great in America?
  5. I'm super excited for this! I absolutely adore Korra  I'll probably get the 3DS game since I haven't used my PS3 much lately.
  6. shana is a big loser nerd pass it on
  7. I don't really remember what happened in that movie but I know I liked it as a kid so an animated version would be awesome!
  8. It's my first! When I was around 12 idfk I was screwing around on YouTube and I found KH footage and immediately signed up here Before that the only thing I'd ever done on the computer was a dumb kids site called Fantage.
  9. Well good on you for doing research! I mean I'd talk to the other players if I were you. If they're willing to put up with it then by all means continue, but if they're annoyed then you should probably stop.
  10. I'm ultra excited! I played the witch when my school performed this and I can't wait to see it Disney-fied!
  11. It depends what you mean by that. If it's the kind of "Elizabethan English" that most people online use, it's not accurate and it's easy to understand, but kind of annoying. However, if it's really accurate, that's also pretty annoying. I don't want to be RP'ing and stumble across lines like "look thou be true; do not give dalliance. too...much the rein: the strongest oaths are straw. To the fire i' the blood: be more abstemious, or else good night your vow!" (actual Shakespeare line) because I'd be like jesus christ get over yourself. So I mean personally I'd find it annoying either way, but I've never seen an RP like that, so I guess maybe it practice it wouldn't be?
  12. Go Marines. The Army is such a massive organization that it's hard to get promoted (aka you're making less $$) and lol it's easy as hell to get into.
  13. THE SUMMER SALEEEEEEEEEEE GIVE INNNNNNNNN
  14. Okay, thank you guys for the recommendations! I'm definitely gonna go with the second one.
  15. Lol I go to private school for gifted students so it's not for a class, it's just something we have to do to graduate. It's not as bad as it sounds! When you're passionate about something it's not hard to ramble on for 35 pages.
  16. Well, let me rephrase. I already have all of the necessary information to do any of these because I'm passionate about the issues I listed, but my research is mostly going to consist of WHY other people think these things and their reasoning. Like, you said religion, so I'd research why people want to believe in religion and if it's because they're raised into it or it's a choice, and why there are so many schisms within religions, etc. I don't really need to research the other side's beliefs, etc. because that's info I already have. edit: Actually that got me thinking, do y'all think religion in general is too broad of a topic and I should focus specifically on one religion? Like instead of "why I think all religions are bad", something like "why I think Christianity is bad", etc so that it's more focused?
  17. I just finished redoing my profile page! I think it's really cute if anyone wants to check it out uwu
  18. So for my senior year we have to write this big 35 page paper on something we strongly believe and analyze why we disagree with the other side. I'm really having trouble deciding what I want to write mine on, and I need to email in my decision by Monday. Here are my ideas for right now: Write about my anti-theist beliefs and research religion deeper so that I can explain why I think it's wrong Write about my pro-choice beliefs and research the anti-choice arguments deeper so I can explain Write about my feminist beliefs and research anti-feminist arguments so I can explain I know these are all hot issues and it's supposed to be something personal to you that you strongly believe, which is why I chose these. Obviously I've already done research on all three, which is why it's very hard to choose. I don't want to hear any personal opinions, I just want a suggestion on which one I should do. At the moment I'm thinking maybe not the feminist one? It would be fun but it's a very broad topic. Idk so yeah suggestions please?
  19. I can sort of cook. I can make stuff like spaghetti and salmon because I like it and I have to make dinner for myself sometimes, but I can't make much more.
  20. Sure, I don't see any problem with that. Do you want me to tell the other staff members about this so that we all post stuff here or do you want us to PM you?
  21. Oh woops, I didn't see the Rescuers pic pointing to London, I only saw the one in Australia.
