  1. Does the box have at least similar dimensions to that of the 1.5 LE?
  2. I honestly don't know what to say to that...
  3. It says "Limited Edition", yet in the pic it's just a generic PS3 case. So much for "designing a case to complement 1.5's LE." Really. Hooray for SE's sense of consistency....
  4. True, but I'm noticing these people vastly outnumber those with common sense this time around. Just today as I was watching I think Anderson Cooper or that idiot Wolf Blitzer, they were interviewing some father and his kid about all the craziness and some jackass started throwing things at them from the background. These kind of people exist everywhere to be sure, but it's kind of fascinating how this time around they're severely drowning out those with an actual voice. To the few with common sense and intelligence, more power to you. But from what I've seen so far, they only make up like 5% of the damn town. Hence, the whole town gets zero pity from me. And as a side...that kid punched the cop at least twice. He is not even remotely the innocent little martyr they're all making him out to be. He's nothing more than a symbol for civil disobedience, of the very uncivil kind.
  5. Then those morons can happily consider themselves slapped in the face by yours truly. Stealing televisions from a McDonalds, or burning down a random diner has not a godamn thing to do with anything. So yes, I will accuse them of being a bunch of jackasses who are simply using this incident as justifiable cause to create chaos. They are nothing more than hecklers, using a tragedy as their personal conduit for disorder and destruction. And if they're gonna act like beasts, then I have absolutely no issue perceiving or treating them as such. White, black, red or blue's got nothing to do with it. The same crap is happening in other cities (though not as intensely), and not limited to races. In short, people are too stupid and irresponsible to comprehend how the system works. Is the system broken? Hell yes. But the funny thing with a broken system, you can always abuse it. But these people don't know how it works, and then bitch about how it doesn't cater to them when they don't even know how to take advantage of it. They don't know how to play the game, and they don't even want to know how. They just want to bitch and moan and cause chaos, and they get no sympathy from me. Only incessant laughter. To me it's like a cock fight, only I like animals, hence I feel no moral pressures from giggling at this.
  6. I have never loved this song as much as I do now: Or this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlYXp_3A64k
  7. Call me a sociopath or cynic, but I'm LOVING THIS! The folks at Ferguson lost the moral high ground a long, loooong time ago the moment they made it clear they were ready to crucify this cop regardless of the outcome. No indictment? OUTRAGE! WHERE IS JUSTICE! Indicted with one or two charges? NOT ENOUGH! HE KILLED SOME KID! Who of course robbed a store minutes before getting shot....but let's not worry about those little insignificant details! The horrible truth is, those people don't give a shit about the kid. There's a few good, decent the souls there to be sure, but most of them were just begging for the perfect excuse to stir shit up. Since yesterday, they were out and about in the front of the courthouse fully geared up to start rioting. They were planning on doing it regardless of the jury's decision. And now, they have a nice fat excuse. The real tragedy here is what's gonna happen to the rest of the police force at Ferguson, and their families. By simple association, their lives are now in danger, and I can easily see a few of them having to go the witness protection route to keep themselves and their families safe. I certainly don't support racial profiling or shooting people without probable cause, but the fact is, witness testimonies were hilariously inconsistent, and the people of that town turned this into an unnecessary shitstorm themselves. So I say, rejoice in the chaos. REVEL IN THE PANDEMONIUM! Or something. EDIT: And a tiny bit of proof to...erm, prove, my theory here. http://gawker.com/updating-protests-erupt-in-ferguson-after-prosecutor-w-1662972391 Looting! Because, as we all know, the unjust death of an unarmed teenager is totally the fault of local small businesses. Burn them to the ground! Smash the windows! And jack those Blu-ray players and TV's! LET JUSTICE BE SERVED!
  8. @Sora96: Well, it's still one step forward and three steps back. They fix the popular issue, then introduce a plethora of new ones. Though, to be sure, A Realm Reborn kicks serious ass. I've been having a blast with it since the closed beta, so I like to think that keeps me optimistic. And as for FF15, Tabata is handling it now. From his work history, to his entire attitude about developing it, I'm actually kind of looking forward to it again. But...a bromance depends on humor and character development along with chemistry between the brahs. Final Fantasy writing of recent times............hasn't exactly excelled at that. Not even the excellent Type-0. @Roxasrox: Then you've obviously never held a job with a big corporate entity. He was fired. And as for what he did during those seven years, we'll never really know because it seems quite obvious Square is trying to distance themselves from it. What we do know is what we've been shown over the span of those seven years, which was a whole lot of nothing interspersed between super pretty pre-rendered footage and some very choppy gameplay.
  9. http://www.novacrystallis.com/2014/09/nomura-comments-on-his-departure-from-final-fantasy-xv/ If he was leaving with amicable reasons, the usual copy-and-paste reply is "We all agreed that this was the best course of action, and that it allows my team to fully commit to Kingdom Hearts III", or maybe "I feel that I have contributed enough to reallocate my priorities to deliver the best of both games." Instead, his copy-and-paste reply was "It was the company's decision, I can't say any more than that." That's called a corporate gag order. It comes standard with getting ejected off a project. Kicked off is another way to put it. Shown the door is another effective metaphor. Or, if you're extremely literal minded, he was no longer welcome among the development staff.
  10. But...they're not really doing anything about it though. They're like the kid who writes on the chalkboard that he won't be bad anymore a hundred times, then just repeats the routine the next day. It's like....they admitted that lately they've had too big of a focus on mobile titles. What did they just announce two days ago? A whole lot of mobile titles.
  11. Well, sure, I can give you a few examples of decline. And by decline, I refer to both decline of quality and integrity. 1-Nomura produced one of the most batshit insultingly projects to hit the gaming industry, period. 2-He served as creative consultant in addition to artist and producer on The 3rd Birthday, with his input in particular retconning the firetruck out of the entire series. It's not too out of the left field to say that he killed any chances of Parasite Eve coming back again. 3-He spearheaded the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, which not only milked one of the better entries into sheer tedium, but was also generally not a great success. 4-After seven years, he got booted off Final Fantasy Versus XIII/XV and needed Tabata to basically save the project in record time. To put it more gingerly, he was fired off of the project after wasting seven years of money and resources and getting absolutely nowhere with it. Now, that's just the areas of decline that Nomura himself was directly involved with or personally responsible for. Would you like me to get into the stuff where he didn't play a large role? Just so you know, it'll be a big list. Like I said, I like Kingdom Hearts just fine. I like it fully knowing and acknowledging that Nomura is a one-trick pony. Kingdom Hearts is his baby, his thing. Which means that if he gets involved in anything else in a capacity more than just character designer, set your expectations way, waaaaaaaay low. It'll either be a slap in the face, a disaster, or you'll sit around seven years waiting only to find he did nothing with it.
  12. So much emotion in here. Honestly people, don't be pissy fanboys. I like Kingdom Hearts just fine, but Nomura is hardly the apex of the company and is arguably partially responsible for its current decline.
  13. Both Disney and Square are ripe with the weird and absoludicrous, and seeing Julius's inclusion in KH3D, I thought why not step it up? So, what five "special things" you'd like to see? 1-The Headless Horseman as a secret/optional boss battle. 2-A gummy ship stage based on/inspired by Einhänder. 3-A summoning that...uh, summons, Jose Carioca, Panchito Pistoles and that cigar parrot as The Three Caballeros. 4-Maechen serving the PROPER role of Mr. Exposition instead of Yen Sid. 4-A world based on The Black Hole. Please don't mess up the theme song like you did with Pirates, Yoko!
  14. Thanks! And I agree. Still got til tomorrow to spruce it up some more.
  15. It's literally been forever since I did anything pixel-art related, but I gave it a spin today: He's a huge fan of both Dark Souls and Castlevania, so I figured why the hell not since his birthday is coming up in two days. Thing is, I'm insecure as hell since I haven't done this in so long. ;_; For the record, this whole thing is scratch save for two things: -The Skeletons are lifted directly from Symphony of the Night. Considering skeleton enemies are something that both series share, it didn't really seem terribly unethical. -The background is super scant since that's what I was most nervous about, so I simply dug up an ancient one from my HDD from a few years back and tweaked it some. Sooo...some thoughts before I send it to him? For the record, I'm posting this here since he couldn't give two shits about Kingdom Hearts. No fear of early leakage!
  16. Yeah. After an entire year following its release in South Korea.
  17. Try these: It's not even funny how good they are.
  18. You say that, and yet South Korea made this little masterpiece. With only a budget of 40 mil. It can be done, if they put in the effort. This just reeks of half-assed cash-in.
  19. So wait. Am I seriously supposed to buy that a Japanese kid is playing a dude named Eren Jeager? Through all that fake photoshopped lens flare to boot? This has disaster written all over it so much it's not even funny. Its only salvation might be a five-drop rating on Badmovies.org
  20. Buddy of mine got impatient and she imported the fancy starter pack. I already like that set better than the crappy CE we got here, if only because of the higher quality chipboard packaging. That said, I just wanted to get my hands on the games for a little bit before picking it up on Dec 2. And lo and behold...Birth by Sleep is just riddled with problems. Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix -A mostly tight remaster, much like the first one. -Load times are pretty bad when using Drive the first time in a given world - subsequent times are curbed. -AntiForm takes almost twice as long to load. -Framerate took a nosedive in the 1000 Heartless battle. It does gradually and quickly improve though. Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix -World textures are pretty bad. Like they barely bothered to redo them. Yeah yeah, it's a PSP game. Well, so was Peace Walker. :< -UI is intrusive. Mostly the command deck/menu. It takes up practically an entire corner of the screen obscuring the action. It was like that in the PSP version because, well, PSP screens are tiny. Big ass HDTV's are not. They needed to scale down the UI, and they didn't. What's really funny is that it's BARELY transparent, but just to troll us, they minimized the opacity. -Camera is terribad. One of the things I really liked about KH2 was that the camera was significantly pulled back from Sora. When it's too close, it just serves as another factor in obscuring the action. This version of BBS...the camera is even closer than it was in KH1. It's beyond awful. And given the insane difficulty of some of the bonus bosses, this was just a stupid decision. -Load times are kind of unforgivable. BBS is a very very linear games with sections of worlds being relegated to teeny "rooms" with not much going on. Yet, the load time between these itty bitty areas is absurd. Kingdom Hearts Re:coded -Don't care for it, didn't watch it. My suggestion? Don't buy this for Birth by Sleep. They didn't give a shit in putting forth any effort towards remastering it into a quality product. Kingdom Hearts II is better than ever, but that's only half of the package. And Re:coded is....well, you either love it or hate it. So for me...I'm just asking myself right now whether I should spend $40 on a single game (of three) that I have not only played before, but even imported once upon a time...
  21. J.J. Abrams says nyope. It's been thrown aside with the rest of the awesome stuff, including Knights of the Old Republic and even the Thrawn Trilogy. I'm very bitter about that one. ;_; I really thought Abrams and Cumberbatch were buddies. A wasted opportunity.
