The secret passage caught Nox and Raj off guard at first, but the both recovered quickly. Both lived in palaces themselves who had similar passages, just in case. Considering the situation, Raj was honored that the young princess would take him into her confidence like this. Both the Gerudo Prince and the Twili Imp followed Z's call for hurry and entered the passageway. Raj though about questioning Zelda about the passage and if it led out, but those were indelicate questions for a ruler of another country to ask, even at this time. Nox was walking along, eyeing the ceiling when Z spoke to her. Great. She didn't like explaining herself. It was so much easier to just break someone's bones to make them do the explaining. "Yep, stuck here." The Imp said curtly. She wanted to leave it at that, but she had a feeling she couldn't. She was on a mission, and someone with Triforce of Wisdom was an asset not to be ignored. "The Queen of Twilight sent me here." She said reluctantly. "There is someone from this realm causing trouble in ours. I'm here till I find them." Raj looked at Nox with surprise. He always suspected she had a hidden agenda, but hadn't guessed her to be on a royal mission.

Eh, she's mostly got it on lock. She's survived a long time on her own, so there will be some issues to work through, but her training and devotion will keep her on the straight and narrow.

As she did so, she sent the mental command to activate the enchantment on Heaven's Flame, though it didn't catch. Still, she was prepared with Bright Guard to take the Queen head on when Soren stepped in. The Guardian Angel gritted her teeth in fury as the weakling abounded his principles to lick Shiva's boots. Light gathered around Mariel as her fury grew with every word Soren said. Heaven's Flame sputtered a few time as its magic worked against the cold. "Beg for mercy on your own time, demon." Mariel growled as her sword caught fire once again and she flexed some frost off her right arm and wing. "My business with your queen is long over due." With a powerful leap, the Guardian Angel landed beside Soren, batting him away with a combination of the force of her landing and the extension of her wings. Not pausing g a moment, she surged forward towards Shiva, unleashing a flurry of blows with both swords against the Queen. She channeled the Light energy she had built up through herself, increasing her speed. Her right arm, holding Heaven's Flame, was still numb, causing its strikes to come a little slower and didn't have full strength behind them.

In a claimer state, she might acknowledge his loyalty as a good thing, but Soren just presented it to someone she's made the barrier of over 2000 years of anger and survivor's guilt on top of the perceived crimes of Alexander. She's not really in an understanding mood, heh.

Mariel won't be too torn up about Soren's change in her current state. She will, at best, consider him a fool who lost his nerve in battle, something she doesn't have much patience for. At worst, he confirms what she expects from all demonic races, which is treachery and betrayal. And this was after Soren's actions was having her prepare a grudging thanks and a promise to give more of his kind a more fair chance in future.

Ripping both blades out of the ground, she prepared to charge when the Queen struck out with her sword and ice. While her swords were moving to defensive positions, The Guardian Angel would have taken both attacks directly if not for Soren. The demon's block saved Mariel the sword, but the arctic wind still came for her. It hit Heaven's Flame, causing the magical fire to wink out, though it did weaken the wind so that it only froze the arm and wing on Mariel's right side. Grunting in pain, Mariel dropped to a knee briefly as she processed and pushed away the numbing pain. She tried to reignite Heaven's Fire, but the steaming blade wasn't responding. Angling her frozen extremities away from the fight, Mariel lunged into the lock between Soren and Shiva, thrusting Bright Guard in to try and trap the Queen's blade. As she did so, the former Archon issued a sonic scream at Shiva, tightening up the sonic cone for more power and to avoid harming Soren with it.

Listening carefully, Raj rubbed his chin as he considered what Zelda was saying. The only thing that caused him to stir from his thoughtful pose was when Z showed the Tri-Force of Wisdom. A beautiful and beguiling piece of divine machinery. What he could do for his people if he only possessed it. "The same thoughts of another Gerudo King?" He mused, bringing his mind back to the situation at hand. The loss of contact with the Great Fairies was indeed worrying. If their power could be twisted for a dark purpose, the danger posed was considerable. "Keeping things secrets from the people can prevent widespread panic, though I do suggest telling your father so he can prepare." Raj said finally. "But, I will hold my tongue." "Yeah, yeah, I promise." Nox said, nosing around the room again.

I was planning on a Elvish bladmaster, but the personality wasn't shaping up like I felt it should. So, I went with a little more colorful option. While he does have the cautious/suspicious nature of most dwarves, he usually keeps it inside while appearing friendly outwardly. Due to past experiences, he holds no prejudice against the other free folk, except for the thought that all elves are stuck up. He has and will work with elves if the need arises, but doesn't socialize with them. A night of good food, drink, music, and company is usually a good way to start a friendship with the Son of Borador. In combat, Dorn's first impression is usually made with a bellowed war cry or laughter. The rush of combat is his favorite thing, and he's always after some new foe to slay. To many, he seems reckless, often charging in without a plan. Him managing to get out of those situations alive is often ascribed to luck, but a few recognize the cunning mind inside his thick skull that can come up with off the wall plans on the fly, allowing him to stay one step ahead of his foes. Currently working on an Elvish Blademaster character. I have a particular style in mind, and wanted to make sure it fit together. I'll probably have a character sheet together later today or tomorrow. I likewise was a little intimidated by some of the requirements like Mystic, but based on my understanding, I figured I could get by with what I do know and what can be googled.

My area had some downed trees which caused some property damage, but that was about it, all told. If I remember correctly, a couple of cities closer to the gulf got hit that volunteers were helping clean up, though I don't thing they were hit as bad as New Orleans.

Her natural instincts were to go after the demonic intruder, but Shiva's attack was more pressing. Launching herself back and up, the Guardian Angel took to the sky, though not as gracefully as normal. She managed to avoid serious damage from The Queen's cold snap, but the cold was getting to her. On the up side, it gave the part of her who wanted to end this with little blood shed a chance to push past the fires of rage. What the Sentinel was saying marked him as a friend, as much as that displeased her. It also revealed an avenue of verbal attack. Mariel landed again, stabbing her swords into the ground several meters away from Shiva and Soren. Her arms termored as a mixture of cold and her peaceful intent tried to still the battle rage that coursed through her. "Even those once loyal to you see the folly in your path." She called out to Shiva, her voice shaking as she fought to hold the rage back. "If one of Dark origins can recognize that humans have something worthwhile to them, why can you not?"

Raj straightened up, hiding some surprise at Princess Zelda's decorum. Though, this was a more private setting and an unexpected meeting. Still, it was comforting that she accepted him. This could be the first steps to better relations between Hyrule and the Gerudo. Nox didn't introduce herself and began wandering around the shadows of the room, eyeing the Princess's room. Stepping back, the Gerudo Prince listened to the details of the quest he and the others had been summoned for. These "Shadows" were concerning. And perhaps familiar. "Nox?" He called out. "The lady ninja is right." The Imp answered from a shadow in the corner. "These don't sound like anything from the Twilight Realm. You have your own darkness problem." Though this did pique Nix's interest. Perhaps something stolen? "I too have never seen something like this." Raj said. "How long has this been happening?"

Annistha kept her eyes closed as Harry's words washed over her. It almost didn't matter what he said at this point. Just having him close and to hear his voice was enough right now. He was right. While her life had changed drastically, she still had him. Wounds would heal and new bonds forged as long as she could hold tight to this one. Looking up at Harry, she smiled a little as he asked about the promise they had made. "That we'd live every single day of our lives together." She whispered the reply. "Even if it got hard."

{Mariel: Mystras Rebellion; Center Flank - VS Shiva} "So be it." Mariel said in response to Shiva's declaration, her tone colder than the Queen's ice. A part of the Guardain Angel that had been trying to direct the fury and battlelust released the reigns of control. She had tried to reason with Shiva, to bring an end to this violence before it was too late. Now it was too late. "I failed." The rational part of her mind thought as it was swallowed up by a tide of rage. Mariel wasn't here to protect peace anymore. She was there for vengeance and bloodshed. The line of Alexander would atone for their crimes in death. Standing her ground, the Guardian Angel was ready for Shiva's charge, and met the Queen's blade head on with her own. Using her swords in tandem, she blocked and parried the incoming slashes. The fire from Heaven's Flame and her intense training kept the cold from affecting her just yet. Using both her swords to try and knock Shiva's weapon away, Mariel let out a quick sonic scream. Due to time constraints and lack of build up, the scream wasn't at it's strongest, but it was enough to feel like a heavy punch, pushing Shiva back and possibly dazing her, if it hit right.

Annistha hugged Harry back as tightly as she could, which wasn't too much due to her injuries and fatigue. She had lost a lot since last seeing her husband and didn't want him to slip away either. "I'm so sorry." She sobbed. "But it happened so fast. That crazy Witch appeared in the Keep and attacked us. We pushed her back here, but knew she would just keep coming. Marcus thought up the barrier to seal her in while Lacuna stole the Heart of Blue thing. We did it, but then she...she..." Annistha buried her face into Harry's shoulder and sobbed some more. "I remember as Drave and Marcus died in my head, I clung onto my memory of you. The last thing I remember before everything went black was you. If you hadn't been seeking me so long, I don't know if I could have come back." Slowly, Annistha felt her aches and pains ease as Lucifer's magic took hold. She also felt the old surge again. She opened her eyes to look at Lucifer for a moment, the tail end of the blue glow visible for an instant, then she closed them and held onto Harry.
