While I'd love for many of those things to happen, realistically, the best I can hope for is Chain of Memories in the eShop and possibly a KH3 trailer next fall/winter at TGS/Jump Festa. So, I think those most likely to happen, but neither could happen at all. =| Depends on how sucky a year it is. And while I'd love for a KH1 remake, I don't think it's on their* priorities list or mine. {{Watch people complain when KH1 gets remade but not FF7.}} *by this I mean that they're all going 'That'd be a great idea!' but no ones actually scrambling to get off their butts to do it, y'know?

.....and now you guys are acting like the two secret endings are for two separate games. The final mix version of the original's secret ending has never been meant for an entirely different game any of the other times this has happened before so that's quite an assumption you guys have there. If it had any validity, I say, yeah, okay, reConnect was reCoded, yay, lol, moving on. Why can't both secret endings ALL revolve around this one game? You just think it's a filler game? re:Coded was the filler game, guys. =/ Nomura already explained it, comparing it to Chain of Memories, leading up to the next game. Dream Drop Distance IS that next game. It's bigger than you think, even if it isn't the end-all-be-all. Things might not be so simple. We have to resolve problems in this game we didn't even know existed until now (just like in KH2 with the Nobodies). In the next major installment it should be the same way. A problem we don't already know about. A problem we haven't been handed in the secret ending.

I agree with the OP. Seriously, guys: Birth by Sleep Volume 2 isn't going to be a title for a game any more than Deep Dive, Another Side/Another Story or Sunset Horizons was. It's covered several things that are going to get covered in this game, and I think the appearance of young Xehanort proves that alone. Then again Deep Dive indeed brought us to KH2, but was better covered in the (much) later 358/2 Days. There are things in there that won't be covered until KH3, I'm sure. (In the end, I'm just going to say I was upset by this secret ending on a whole... simply because it wasn't in their awesometastic amazing graphics. I'm equally disappointed we didn't get a full opening for Birth by Sleep, and they just reused footage from the last secret ending.) But I have always, always thought the idea we'd ever have a game called "Birth by Sleep Volume 2" stupid. I mean, that doesn't even sound original. I mean, why aren't we all going "OMG, the next game must be called Zero Point or Blank Point!" . . . no. Really. Why aren't we? It sounds far better.

I agree the scene with the sword is odd... but nothing about your theory is valid. Rather than answer Riku's question of 'What are you doing here?!' he just calmly picks up the sword and points it at him. I don't think he's going to fight him with the sword, lol. I think the sword has actually been taken from a guard or someone who just got killed/eaten by darkness/whatever. I think it'd be a good moment for Ansem to take the sword, turn it back around and put it into the the ground before saying something along the lines of "I could ask you the same thing. Do you even know what side you want to be on in this place?" in the most casual/friendly way possible for someone whom Riku absolutely does not get along with.

Yeah, that's right. I'm glad they're finally getting around to showing that arc of the storyline... no one really knew for sure quite how things went down, and there have been fan speculations forever. It'll be interesting to see just how accurate some of them are. Does he go insane? (First, will say, yeah, Birth by Sleep made sense as a title... only in retrospect. However... they all went to sleep. And no one was born from it. They all just kind of, metaphorically speaking, 'died', although none of them truly died and they should all be alright... I hope. o-O But no one was born, that's all I was getting at.) Ahhhhhmm... yes, there is all of 358/2 Days, but... only the Keyblade itself could release the hearts. The only weapon that can kill the Heartless and retrieve the hearts was the Keyblade, so all the other members were kind of useless towards Xemnas' goals, I thought...? (Other than, of course, members like Vexen, who actually had some talent in the science department.)

Indeed. Not just anyone has a Nobody. He did something in particular to each of them, I'm sure. But just where did he recruit 9 through 12? I do hope that finally gets answered... Why was the Organization made in the first place? Could he really not stand being alone? That's unlike him... and Nobodies in general. Maybe he had experiments he wanted to do on each of them, that's why he collected a certain amount of people. Definitely. Did "Birth by Sleep" make any sense as the title of the last game? No. And yet hasn't this been a constant theme? "Is any of this for real... or not?" Xemnas' search for the Room of Awakening, Ventus' semi-permanent slumber until he can be restored... and now a game that actually takes place in the dream world? Who is it being born (again) from sleep and the dreams, nay, nightmares, of others? Xehanort, of course. Makes perfect sense to me. I was quite stunned with that connection when I realized it myself.... "We're all in dream land now... birth... by... sleep... wait... who would be born from........ OH. CRAP." There seems to be a time limit in place for how long you can play as each character. It could be based on how much energy you waste during battles or... be plot determined? Who knows yet, but it's actually quite confirmed. There's also the concept of... what happens if you die in your dreams? What happens if you miss your window and you can't wake up? ...then you'll just... never wake up. D: Ven does seem to be a perma-nap mode, like I said. Dream land would be a good place to find him, I definitely agree. Do they have any idea what they're supposed to do once they actually find him? Probably not, but as always, they will wing it and everything will be just dandy. ....and I didn't really have a lot to say towards your other points.

I have a wild assumption to throw in... Maybe the young!MX we see is actually another Xion-like amalgamation, only, instead of trying to make a Sora, they're making a Xehanort from whatever leftover parts they can find - this includes the parts inside of Riku (Xehanort's Heartless) and Sora (Vanitas, and you disagree here if you like - but I also see MX in Braig and even DiZ). They certainly have the power/technology to make a body just for Xehanort now, but it takes some solid willpower and control over a form to change how it appears (Xion changing form, Riku looking more like Ansem, etc). The base for Xehanort may have been Riku/Repliku, and he'll happily take on that disguise to throw Sora and Mickey off and make them think Riku is working for him. If there's any remaining Riku-replica will power left in that form, it may be his inevitable undoing, or, Repliku -could- be willingly working for him. Basically... my wild assumption here is... the Repliku Riku met = y!MX Sora sees? I'm left wondering how/why/where Vanitas appeared/came from, as he was just suddenly next to y!MX. Summoned to him (out from inside of Sora), like in the secret ending of KH2/ending of Birth by Sleep? Also... my last thoughts are on the full cg pre-rendered scenes. They don't seem quite... polished/done. The shading for half of them just seems... off/unfinished. Anyone else feel that way? Some scenes are just fine, others are... strange. Kairi's face bothers me, for example. Yeah, I noticed how awkward that looked, too. But then I paused just before that to compare the height of Sora (who really looks like his KH1 self in new clothes) to the height of y!MX, then tried to picture an imaginary Vanitas next to him, and realized that Vanitas is much closer in build to Sora's KH2 self. Keeping that in mind... this makes y!MX more... KH1 age, less KH2 age? So he's possibly the same age as Vanitas/Ventus/KH2 Sora rather than being the more expected Terra age that we've grown used to because of his possession of him. So... 15-16 versus 17-18?

Well THAT'S probably it. Why get attached to someone and have to say goodbye? It'll never work out long term, so she just may not see a point in it. Or trying to save you the grief in the end. So let her know that even though you know she won't be around forever, that you really, really think she's special and that she deserves to know she's amazing and that you just want to make her feel like the happiest/luckiest girl in school.Temporary things can be very fulfilling and worthwhile.

......except in math class. Then the best answer is "magic"... or sometimes "tacos".

'Distance makes the heart grow fonder' or something? Winter Break could actually be a good thing. She'll have time to think about you and miss you and she might be more ready to talk about it when you're back in school in January. If you haven't gotten her a gift or won't have a chance to give it to her because of break... better late than never? Ask your parents for help, as stupid as it sounds. Put some thought into it, though, and think about what she'll think of it. Girls can sometimes over-think things. If she's never been in a relationship before, because you guys are so young, don't be troubled if it's taking too long for her to warm up to the idea of being your girlfriend. You might have to be close friends with her for a long time first, and just let her know you'll give her all the time she needs. She might not be ready for it, yet. (Speaking from experience here... back in 6th grade I had a great friend who was a boy. Suddenly, because the thought had never occurred to me, he wanted to be my boyfriend. I went with him to his grandma's by the beach and we took a long walk and he bought me lunch and I was given a small stuffed monkey with velcro paws ((I still have it, all these years later))... at the end of the date, it was sunset, and he wanted a kiss. But... I was too shy, got scared, and just couldn't do it. I'm not even sure why, I just... couldn't. It didn't mean I didn't like him as a friend, but at that age, I just didn't understand all the changes between friend and girlfriend and wasn't sure if I could even live up to it.) So: My advice here is... go as slow as you have to if she's playing hard to get, because it -will- be worth it. Try too hard too fast and she might hurt your feelings. I hope things work out.

Right, but we've squeezed out about all we can from this event. If we're waiting for people to try and film the trailer, we'll have to wait until after they've shown the trailer in the theater again today. Otherwise, we're waiting on demo gameplay... and they don't usually like cameras around there, so... it's easier to sneak one over while it's the busiest part of the day.

hint: it's only 10:30 in the morning in Japan. We didn't get a lot of news yesterday until it was at least 1 there.

Yeah, I don't mind Epcar doing Apprentice Xehanort and Terra!nort. Hell, I didn't even notice he was doing Riku!nort in KH2, because when Riku did speak with Ansem's voice, it actually just made logical sense that if you magically had someone else's voice there's no way you'd sound the same. I think the depth of the voice is spot on, but the accent and grand flourish of words is a bit off. Even Xemnas' voice actor has an enormous flourish to his speech pattern. Can you imagine anyone trying to imitate that? I give Epcar lots of credit, those are some pretty hard shoes to fill. I just don't think they should have replaced the archive files at the beginning of KH2. That wasn't even necessary, because the character itself wasn't even in KH2.=/ If I hadn't grown up watching Digimon and instantly recognized him as Myotismon's VA, I wouldn't have even complained. I already recognized his voice too well, so I couldn't handle the sudden change. I've grown used to it now, because I love re:CoM, but Billy Zane's voice will always sound..... sexier. -w-~? (At everyone else here arguing over which girls got voiced by which actresses when: What if one of them had been suddenly switched out for a new one and you recognized the new girl from say, anything you'd seen a million times, wouldn't that be just strange? I mean, what if Kim Possible's VA voiced Namine? You'd be all WTF. That's what it was like for me when I heard Xehanort's Heartless suddenly played by Myotismon's VA. =/)

As great as Leonard Nimoy is, as a guy, he just wasn't right for the role of Master Xehanort, imo. I don't like Aqua's voice actor lived up to her Japanese equivalent, either. Birth by Sleep bothers me the most because I actually played that one in Japanese first. =/ I think Marluxia's voice was a bit lackluster in re:CoM. I was looked forward to something.... else. And I'll always prefer Billy Zane over Richard Epcar for Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, but there's no helping it now.

This is how: Third button at the top (right before Font) is 'Special BBCode'. Select media from the drop down and paste the youtube url. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxi4rdnOUbQ Also, remove the "feature=player_embedded&v=" part from the url. It has to be in the right format. "watch?v=" and then video's ID number. Basically, you need the exact url. When in doubt, use the share button on Youtube and grab the link from there (they've recently changed their links to shortened versions, not sure if those work here yet), copy/paste it into the url bar, hit enter, and the copy the new url from there, which should then be the non-shortened version, and use that. And yeah, I saw the trailer on another site. =3 It looks pretty neat. I'm not real big on the non-main storyline games. I play the colorname-only games, not the spinoffs. And yet... somehow this looks appealing.
