  1. Grammar is one thing. Typos are another. Intentional chatspeak? That annoys me. I'll ignore how they typed and answer their question no matter what, so long as I can understand it. But I won't complain because I'm tired of wasting my time trying to encourage them not to type a child. I can't take someone seriously if they won't take the time to at least look mature. I understand all of us will occasionally toss in some lols and acronyms, for the fun of it, but it's just bad to do that to a complete stranger. It leaves a very bad first impression. =/ If you wanna add some silliness to your speech pattern, that's cool and all, but at least try and do it with capitalized starts of sentences and proper punctuation. I'd prefer all the appropriate letters exist in all your words, too. But I'm not going to waste my time complaining. It's your own choice to look like an idiot, who am I to criticize your decision?
  2. Birth by Sleep definitely rocks my socks. Then again, I approached the card battle system in re:CoM as a fun challenge. It's not the easiest thing to master, and I appreciate the difficulties associated with it. I enjoy Birth by Sleep commands because they're easiest, but that's just sad, in a way. The controls relied on button mashing to unleash your most powerful attacks, rather than the thoughtful strategy of linking higher numbered cards together. I enjoyed Birth by Sleep for it's plot but honestly? It could have been harder. Yeah it's controls were awesome... at making the game a cakewalk.
  3. You could go with her but make it clear you're just going as 'friends'. It's on a trial basis to see if she's worth forgiving any time ever. But even if you can't forgive someone that doesn't mean you can't turn the other cheek and give them a chance. It may not coincide with your better judgement to just stay away from her and the trouble she brings, but if more trouble starts, then you can just feel even better about your decision to wash your hands of her completely. If she brings up more trouble, then maybe you'll stop being attracted to her.
  4. Ansem. >3 Destiny Islands. Hmmmm.... Beast. Without him and without my Keyblade I would have been Heartless food. >_>
  5. Agreed. Metal and then alternative stuff that isn't on the radio for me. I can fall under 'Rock' as a catchall, but when your Rock starts to tiptoe into hip hop, pop and rap... eh... it's no longer rock enough for me. I need my guitar solos and old groups I used to like have become mainstream and have sold themselves out so far I don't even want to listen to them anymore.
  6. Yeah, that's what I thought all along. They just assumed how they were obtained (whereas, I don't really care how they were obtained... I mean, sure, they want to be all high and mighty with their 'we don't support the use of roms' and that's great and all, but they didn't have to point fingers - meanwhile, I was all 'rom? where!'). I had a handful of reasons for coming here instead, but the behavior of both the staff and the members over there is what inevitably drove me away - but I was gone for good about the time they stopped showing recent forum posts on the main page. I'm glad we have that feature over here. I'm not a forum fanatic and I don't keep up to date on things - but so long as I can see active topics, I'm likely to join in.
  7. I found out about this site around the time people over at KHInsider were complaining about cutscenes being taken from the rom of 358/2 Days and pitching a fit. Unsure of when that was... and I'm not a huge forum person so I didn't join until the beginning of this year. o3o
  8. Some people are of the idea that Xehanort's Heartless is both Emblem and Pureblood. Apprentice Xehanort (ala Terra!nort) would have two hearts in his body, so I don't think the concept of more than one Heartless being glued together could be too far off. The body itself is the Emblem, as that never seems to leave him, and the Guardian would be the Pureblood. Stabbing yourself with the Keyblade the way MX did made Sora a Heartless, so here's a thought, was he a Heartless inside Terra's body, the Guardian from the beginning? Why, yes. Wasn't the Guardian involved in that last fight? But the body itself was not an 'Emblem' or any sort of Heartless yet. Then again, the body could have fallen to darkness quite normally later on but I suppose we'll never know. He could just wear the emblem as a symbol of his leadership over the Heartless.
  9. =3 I'm not changing sides at all. Roxas identifies only as himself. Ven is not Roxas because Ven is asleep. Roxas is a memoryless Ven. Memories, as we agreed on, are what make a person who they are. I'm saying that Ven's heart is inside Roxas. Because he doesn't have any memories, he may as well be Ven #2. He's still running on the same heart that powered Ven's existence, so when Ven is restored, will he remember being Roxas? Will Ven remember being Vanitas? Ven didn't even remember himself when Vanitas was split away from. But he was still part of himself in his own original body. This time it is different - he's got Sora's body, but because his heart is there, he looks like himself. But then again, he doesn't even know who he is. Sora's body with Ven's heart in it gets called Roxas and so Sora's body with Ven's heart is Roxas. Body is an entirely different matter. I do not believe that Ven's actual body is Roxas in any way at all. I believe that Roxas may have -began- in Castle Oblivion, possibly even staring at Ven's actual body, and possibly even being lucid enough to remember he was Ven. He then probably tried to leave to find out what was going on and - by that time - Kairi restored Sora, and Roxas was officially memoryless and that's why he was found so far away from Namine, who was indeed found in Castle Oblivion.
  10. Put it this way: You can say it all you like that Roxas is not Ven because Roxas does not have Ven's memories. Ven did not have his own memories when Vanitas was split away from him, but he was still Ven. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck... its a body that looks like Ven with Ven's heart inside it without memories. So not for the first time, Ven's heart was memoryless, stripped away from darkness, and he has to learn who he is all over. This time, he was given a new name. If Ven is restored will he remember his time as Roxas? On that note, Heartless eating hearts and all... I believe that perhaps only the light is taken, and the darkness remains. If the darkness from Ven's heart, Vanitas, stayed behind with Sora's heartless, that accounts for the anti form later on. Ven's light escaped like the princesses hearts of pure light did. We have reasons for what we believe, we really do. We don't have enough evidence to support it as fact, no, but there's equally not enough to disprove it.
  11. Yes. Ven is not Roxas. And I never said he was. He doesn't have Ven's memories. Then again, Ven didn't even have his own memories after Vanitas was torn away from him. =/ Memories play a large part in making someone who they are. I'm also seeing a continuing theme that darkness remembers better than light does (the novel having Vanitas as remembering his life prior to his split off, whereas Ven never did, and, Ansem the Wise dabbling with darkness in his experiments to help Xehanort recover his memories, prior to knowing how bad that could turn out). (Unrelated but interesting note, Xion takes Ven's form when confronted by Xigbar. I'm still curious about that. )
  12. Ven's heart.... stayed.... in Sora... when he stabbed himself. But Sora became Roxas, therefore, Ven is in Roxas. Roxas acted like he had a heart because he indeed did have a heart inside him. That's basically exactly what I said as option three. The same option three which everyone tends to disagree with: Ven not being Roxas and all. My entire point was basically that: Roxas kind of has to have Ven in him. =/ I do like the way you've put this, Kairi giving Sora a Sora-shaped body (as she remembered it, of course) as a house. It's much like MX giving Vanitas form from darkness, and the emblem Heartless having artificial bodies. This would indeed make sense. *Anyway.* I don't personally believe Vanitas was destroyed (as that would have outright killed Ven), only neutralized, because Ventus is not dead, only comatose. If Ven is woken up, Vanitas will wake up. Possibly even in control of Ven's body, as he was when he fought Aqua. =/ Ven doesn't like his darkness so he latches to Sora's darkness. Ven is Sora's light, Sora is Ven's darkness. Vanitas is then Sora's darkness, and Sora is Vanitas' light. Sora is just a go-between conduit, and that's what's best for everyone. Vanitas' death did not feel very final, especially in comparison to other characters whose 'deaths' did feel final and ended up not (I'm looking at you, Xehanort's Heartless and your giant blast of light to the face). /not fact whatsoever, just personal thought
  13. It doesn't make it... not so, either. Hell, this person could be completely right and we just don't know it yet. No, there's no proof. Just like there was no proof MX took over Terra's body but WOOPS, called that. *rolls eyes* It's too up in the air to solidly agree or disagree. I think Vanitas is coming back because he was a vital part of Ventus to begin with. If Ventus is restored to be with a restored Terra and Aqua, he can't have Vanitas inside him, or else he'd be back in a state of memory loss. He just wouldn't be the same person if he had to be himself and Vanitas in one body. I'd personally like to blame Vanitas for the inbalance in Sora that allowed the anti drive form to appear. As for Kairi restoring Sora's heart... if Sora held Ven and Kairi's hearts... we have one of two issues: One, Ven's heart WAS released but could NOT have been returned when Kairi restored Sora because no one even knew about Ven. Or, Two: Ven's heart WAS NOT released because he no longer has one. Hey, that could be a big problem, because if not even a Keyblade could rip Ven out of Sora, how will Ven ever be restored? Because neither issue is on the end of things we want, it's just as easy to believe option three: Roxas has Ven's appearance and his heart. Not his memories, so he is indeed Roxas and not Ven, but that's completely arbitrary.
  14. No. Answer has always been no. Do we have a game called Another Side, Another Story? Deep Dive? Mmm, no. That isn't to say those titles weren't without meaning. "Birth by Sleep Vol.2" does have meaning: It means the events directly following Birth by Sleep will finally be shown in their proper sequential setting. However.... /theory time: Given what actually takes place in that video, with time rewinding and then happening slightly differently, coupled with Terra's random flashfowards, (and Mysterious Figure who, arguably, isn't canon,) I get the feeling that the Birth by Sleep we saw was not the actual, real version of history and that Xehanort changed one small nearly insignificant detail that would change things drastically in the future, but not change any of his actual plans. My money is on Mickey's level of involvement being the deciding factor that would change history. So, to me, Birth by Sleep Vol.2 could also imply we'll find out what what actually happened. =/ Sorry, it's all just a feeling I've got - Birth by Sleep that we played didn't happen the way it was supposed to. It was uncanny.
  15. I thought long and hard about what happened with Lady Tremaine and her daughters... as a roleplayer, I had to come to some conclusion or another just so I wouldn't break head-canon whenever I let Vanitas loose on any world. That meant patching up/deciding what actually happens. I think the Unversed just go around stirring up trouble, breeding the emotions they like to feed on. But I don't think this means actually eating the people. They aren't Heartless running around taking hearts, y'know? I think, though, they should be able to 'harvest' what they've managed to stirr up in people, and this might cause them to black out and wake up later, not really remembering the incident very clearly. Ala 'I think I was angry... why was I so angry?' Hell, in one roleplay I did Vanitas got so pissed at this person that he personally just ripped all the emotions he could find from her. Now, that doesn't make the victim a Nobody by any means, it'll all grow back, they do still have hearts afterall. It did leave the poor woman pretty blank for a while, though... had no idea what to feel. But with friends around to help, they regrow. (Compare this to how blank Ventus was after Vanitas was taken from him... it took weeks for him to stabilize and be social with Terra and Aqua,) Unversed all seemed based on individual emotions, though. They probably only feed off the type that they are?
  16. Yeah, okay. =/ Except the fact that person who sends me the random chat invites to the off-topic chats nearly every time I got on -is- a moderator. I shouldn't have to tattle moderators to other moderators, if you know what I mean, but yeah, I'll do that from now on.
  17. Well that sounds interesting. Can I get a new Secret Episode just by beating the old Aqua file again? I'm pretty sure I didn't save over it when I got Secret Episode... I'll have to try this out.
  18. As much as I love Lady Koko and the few times we've talked and the fact I stalked her tumblr for a while, I get a lot of random messages to join chat rooms, and as someone else said, 'that's fine' and I can just ignore it if I don't feel like it. 9 times out of 10 I don't feel like it, though. That's not to say it's a bad thing that at least someone is trying to get people to actively communicate. The bad thing is that a lot of times the chats I get pulled into are far, far, far away from anything related to Kingdom Hearts. Generally speaking, that's why 9 times out of 10 I don't bother going. If someone -wanted- to have a lively discussion or philosophical debate about anything Kingdom Hearts related, I'd totally chat with them. I'd love to even have giant group chats, so long as there was a topic at hand, or, heck, even a pre-arranged date and time for people to look towards showing up just -to- chat. =/ But I just can't handle the random chat invites to random conversations that aren't Kingdom Hearts related. There's nothing wrong with it at all, I'm just not interested. A lot of people show up and go 'why the hell am I here?' and wait... and then leave. And from then on they promptly ignore any and all future chat invites. If only the conversation had actually been relevant to the site - they might actually use the chat feature more. ONE MORE THING: I'd love you forever if you found some way to hack/improve the 'handwriting' feature. I've got a tablet and I can draw and send pictures but that thing is kind of rather very glitchy, man.
  19. Don't even bother resisting. It gets to everyone.
  20. . . . . . Well if his mom works in the school.... find some time when she's not busy and you're not busy (maybe before school?) and talk to her about it. Yes, it's his mom, and moms protect their kids, but, she's his MOM. Mom's also punish their kids! Just have a handful of examples ready and if you have to bring a couple other students as witnesses to the behavior, then do so. If she still won't do anything you should try and talk to (as scary as the idea might sound) the principal or superintendent or whatever your school has in charge. Getting to the authority figures first makes a big deal of difference. From the eyes of an adult, usually, kids tends to sort their own problems out. If it's bad enough for them to tug on someone's sleeve for help, clearly, they need to listen.
  21. http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/happy.png; Funny thing about this site: Lots of people DO pay attention to introduction posts. Unexpected, right? Have a good time here. This site keeps very good track of new information about the next Kingdom Hearts game as the information shows up. Then we all sit around and chatter excitedly about it! It's also fun to theorize about what will happen. Whatever you're here for I'm sure you'll find lots of it!
  22. Well, Sora's Kingdom Key and Kingdom Key D, Mickey's, do represent the Light and Dark realms respectively. Light and Dark together merged to form the X-Blade, but... both are the silver, Sora, normal Kingdom Keys and not one of each. *shrug* So, really, means nothing. Interesting slightly related factoid: That's the insignia of the (Catholic) papacy. Two keys -- one gold, one silver, like Kingdom Key D and Kingdom Key -- crossed and connected at the bottom, representing the power to bind and loose everything in heaven and on earth. Each key has a cutout of a cross in place of its teeth, kind of like the Kingdom Key's crown cutout. The two keys themselves are known as the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven.
  23. It was awesome! ...and I want to see an HQ version.
  24. You're asking if we got HD remakes of the early games if they'd be the Final Mix versions? Quite possibly. I'd love those extra boss fights.
  25. http://ssceles.deviantart.com o3o It speaks for itself. Kingdom Hearts stuff, most of it. I update fairly frequently.
