  1. Incredibly disappointed by this news. I'm a huge fan of the figures (and 3.0 wasn't bad either), so to get the news that there will be no more is quite a shame. Talk about dropping the ball there Disney. Also wishing the folk affected by the closure of Avalanche Software all the best for the future, after all it's never nice hearing when a studio closes down.
  2. I'm incredibly bummed about that European release date. The Pokémon are only ok imo. Rowlet being the best one for me. Though I'll reserve judgement until their evolutions get revealed. The legendaries are... Well I honestly don't know what to make of them. I'm still hyped, but the trailer didn't really show much for me to be over the moon about. Still it's Pokemon so... Day one buy.
  3. They'll probably do The Last of Us 2. The first one was far too much of a success for Naughty Dog to not make a sequel. Personally, I'd like to see them go back to their roots and make something in the same vein as Crash or Jak & Daxter.
  4. I'm really hoping that a XII Remaster gets announced at E3 for PS4 and PC. That and XV getting actually confirmed for PC, we all know it's coming Square haha.
  5. Funny that Sackboy is on that list despite having a new game fairly recently. Voted for Crash. If it were developed by Naughty Dog then even better. Activision should just give the IP up to be honest, they've done nothing with it in 6 years and much like Spyro they've left the classic character to expire. I know Spyro is chilling with the Skylanders people, but that is such a terrible use of the character. If Crash or Spyro came back then I wouldn't be upset in the slightest.
  6. Not any time soon, but it's not uncommon for mobile games to have their services shut down. Square Enix have done this with a number of their own titles already. It really depends how long they feel like supporting Unchained x. If the game is still popular in a few years then chances are they won't feel the need to terminate the game, but if the content stops and the players aren't sticking around then there is no reason for them to keep an online game... well online.
  7. Because Sephiroth is the only iconic villain in the entire Final Fantasy series. In fact, I'm not sure why they even bothered putting any characters outside of the Final Fantasy VII cast in Kingdom Hearts, it is the best and only relevant one after all.
  8. No doubt she'll appear in Kingdom Hearts III in some capacity, but I can't say I'll be thrilled when she is there (unless they kill her again ). I remember originally thinking the game was buggy when her portrait kept changing from her face to the hooded one..
  9. I fixed it there for you m8.
  10. Civil War. It was just a better film. BvS has a lot of problems and while I had zero expectations going into it, I left the film frustrated that I had wasted my time watching it. I know you could argue that Civil War had an already established cast of characters, but BvS should have been directed better because it was just a mess.
  11. Oddly enough I've never had trouble getting my hands on any amiibo. If there was one I really wanted then I pre-ordered it (for example Ness and Shulk). Nowadays Nintendo has seem to got amiibo fairly well stocked where I am and I can go into a Gamestop or Smyths Toys and know that if I really want a particular amiibo then no doubt I can get it. Problem is, I have no longer found an incentive to buy amiibo any more. They were almost a fad for me. I've got a nice collection, but the Smash set was imo the best set and now that it's on its way out I've more or less got the figures I'm interested in. It seemed to be a running joke that amiibo were exclusive to eBay, but here in Ireland I never noticed that much of an issue. I got Marth despite reports he was rare due to shortages. I got Shulk (albeit a day late) despite being rare. I even got Jigglypuff and Inkling Boy via PlayAsia because they weren't available locally. Were America and the UK the only places that seem to have shortages? Because they seem to be the only folk who I ever saw complaining about the situation. Edit: I do remember wanting a Captain Falcon and I still haven't had the chance to get one, but I've more or less given up on owning one.
  12. I remember it was like 3am where I was and I had stayed up to watch the Sony press conference. Final Fantasy XV's trailer was really great and then out of nowhere Kingdom Hearts III!! My girlfriend likes to remind me about it because I woke her up going "omg they announced KH3!" over and over again. I think that was one of the rare occasions where the fanboy in me got way too excited.
  13. Oh really? I can't comment on the second series or the film, but the first series of Psycho Pass was quite interesting. Though I do know some that liked the premise of it, but it just fell flat for them. Quite a shout there! Didn't expect Psycho Pass to get a mention I remember an episode or two of the One Piece 4Kids dub. Now that stuff is hilariously bad. (I purposely watched it for its infamously bad dub )
  14. Nintendo always struck me as a company where they'd be too stubborn to realise they are in the wrong. If we voted with our wallets and didn't buy Paper Mario they'd probably think nobody wanted a Paper Mario game at all. While effectively stop making games for the franchise rather than just make a game that we want Paper Mario to be. I've even heard from some people I know that they will buy Metroid Prime Federation Force just to support the Metroid franchise and not because they want the game
  15. It does seem to be the long anime that people find the toughest to get into alright. I remember liking Another when it came out, but I barely remember the show at all.. I think it was one of those anime where I watched it, thought it was nothing out of this world and then moved on with my life. Ah yes No Game No Life. I've seen a few episodes, but never finished it. I can see where you are coming from, it definitely is a topic that can turn people off a show. It wasn't a huge deal in SAO. Kirito had this ridiculous harem thing going on any ways and adding a cousin who is like a sister to him was pretty much the icing on his harem cake. It was a pretty irritating subplot if you ask me. That's understandable. I could definitely recommend shows that are on the shorter scale (12/13 episodes or so), but I can see where you are coming from as sometimes I even struggle to watch that many episodes if the anime just isn't interesting. I think that's why I stuck with the original Dragon Ball and DBZ all those years ago. I found the shows interesting and I was willing to invest in them. I know you like Naruto too so I hope this thread hasn't annoyed you D: It seems to be a good example for some. I can see where you are coming from with FMA. I haven't seen Brotherhood so I cannot comment on it, but I remember being very confused by the ending of the original FMA to the point where I felt like I had wasted my time watching all those episodes. It most certainly isn't the greatest anime of all time, but in some ways I can see why the show is as loved as it is.
  16. You made it further than I ever could in Bleach I dropped Bleach not long after the Soul Society arc. I don't think I could ever go back to it at this point. I'd say probably give the Attack on Titan abridged series a shot, I haven't watched it myself, but a few of my friends say it's funny even if you don't like the show. I can't say for sure though. That was around the time that SAO started to get a bit boring for me, I hated that little kid that they decided to adopt as a daughter for zero reason. When I read the infamous Chapter 16.5 (I really wouldn't recommend it as it's definitely nsfw and feels incredibly fan-fictiony but apparently isn't.) I think that was when I realised SAO was a joke. Oddly enough, I'm not one for long anime either yet I've sat through the original series' of Pokémon, Digimon and Yu-gi-oh in recent years. The amount of filler in them is a joke though and I never noticed it as a kid :l I'm not totally against long running anime, I just don't have the willpower or time to keep up with them. Yeah, when Attack on Titan came out it was the "next best thing" in an anime society at college I go to. It became increasingly difficult to enjoy my time there because if you weren't watching this show then it was hard to be part of a conversation. I tried it. It was meh. It's now often joked about in the society. I still see it mentioned online a bunch and I feel better shows are criminally overlooked when compared to Attack on Titan or SAO. The shows just aren't that good imo and I've had one or two folk try and convince me otherwise. I respect the opinions of others until they become forceful I guess which is why I dislike the fans of AoT more than the show.
  17. When you do win remember this gif.
  18. You're right I give up.
  19. I'll beat you to the last post.
  20. The long episodes in both One Piece and Naruto definitely put me off. I struggle to watch shows with 50 episodes at times let alone over a million episodes. Funny enough I didn't mention either Attack on Titan or SAO because both shows border into hate territory for me SAO had soooooooo much potential and like you said after the first arc it went downhill. I gave the second series a chance, but after watching the first 3 or so episodes me and a friend mutually agreed to just drop it. As for Attack on Titan it was actually the fans that ruined that one for me. The show isn't great and if definitely has a number of flaws, but whenever I think of AoT I think of the fans more than the anime. I know it's a silly reason to dislike a show, because a lot of shows have bad fans, but I can't help it unfortunately. Understandable. I know a few who felt the same way about the show I've only seen the first episode myself so I can't make any judgements
  21. My ties to the series are much different than what they were a few years back I feel. When I first played Kingdom Hearts I was 13. Both KH1 & KH2 for Christmas 2006, I'll never forget it! The series is undoubtedly the biggest obsession I've had with any video game next to probably Pokémon (because childhood). Games like Days, Birth by Sleep, Re:coded and KH3D all got turned out quickly one after the other and it was a whirlwind of a ride. The franchise is still my favourite and I feel it has shaped a lot of what I've done in the last 10 years of my life since playing it. For example, I wouldn't have taught myself how to use image editing or video editing software for amv/gmv purposes on Youtube. I wouldn't have got the chance to make some really great friends through my love for the franchise either (both irl and online). If anything my love for the franchise is definitely still strong. Nowadays I have far more access to merchandise associated with the series (except for my dream Play Arts Aqua figure pls Square Enix) so I feel that having things around me is a good way to remind me of the series that I love. Of course I know nothing lasts forever. (I'll use Pokémon as a reference here) After the release of BW I became frustrated with the Pokémon series and only recently regained faith in it after the release of ORAS. I was overwhelmed by games that did very little to remind me of the good ol' days of the series, to the point where when XY released I was incredibly critical of the game for being far too short and doing nothing to push the series to feel fresh. The lack of Pokémon game in 2015 has been a breather for me and I'm going into Sun and Moon with a great deal of confidence. Sometimes it's healthy to just take a break from something rather than outgrow it. As for Kingdom Hearts, I feel people have grown out of the series because Kingdom Hearts III has taken as long as it has to come out. Like I mentioned above, I got KH1 & KH2 for Christmas 10 years ago. Like. That's a long time to wait for a Kingdom Hearts game on the same scale as those two. I don't hate the games that came after KH2, but I can see why the constant keeping up with consoles and a plotline that takes more turns than a large command board in BbS is frustrating for some. To answer the topic's question, no I haven't grown out of the series. However, I'm currently 23 and I forgive the Kingdom Hearts series for stuff far more than I do for other video games out there. That cannot last forever and I know that the series will take a dark turn somewhere and it'll be hard for me to care. Yet... for now I'll continue loving it.
  22. Pretty much what the title suggests. Is there any anime that you tried to get into (through recommendations or whatever) that was just not for you? If so why? I'm not speaking of anime that you flat out hate beyond belief, but rather the kind of anime that simply just wasn't for you. For me a few would be things like Naruto, Fairy Tail, Cardcaptor Sakura or Highschool DxD. There's definitely more though. I think I just simply didn't care for the characters or stories that were being presented to me. That or the anime just didn't hold my attention for other reasons, so I simply might've just brushed it aside after a few episodes (or even after an entire season). I don't hate these anime nor the people who like them, I just don't really care for them you know? I mostly ask because I recently recommended FLCL to a friend and they didn't understand why I liked it so much. It's an anime that really doesn't take itself too seriously and I guess they couldn't see the appeal. Though they liked the animation at least. *I should note that I'm not hoping to start flame wars. If you don't like an anime that's perfectly fine. Everyone has different tastes.
  23. I tried it using Bluestacks when the game came out and it was pretty good.
  24. There has to be a Direct either before or after E3 to focus on other stuff. Like, that's me scraping the barrel for any type of positivity from them. As a non-Zelda fan/player, Nintendo have effectively given me no other choice but to ignore them this year. Nintendo of America are one of the most deluded companies out there and they literally don't give a shit about their fanbase. Last year was a huge wake up call to the point where Iwata apologised. Yet a year on, they seem to have learned absolutely nothing. It's not all a disaster. Zelda is undoubtedly their next big game (next to Pokemon). So fans who are excited for it get to finally see it (and a lot of it). However, I don't think anyone can be happy with Nintendo based on what they've done this E3. Sony and Microsoft must be laughing so hard. Oh well, I guess I'll focus on everyone else this E3. Even Ubisoft is ahead of Nintendo and I don't care for any of their big games
