  1. Rumour has it that Mother 3 is finally coming to the west. It'd be surprising if it didn't at this point especially after Nintendo even went to the effort of bringing Earthbound Beginnings over 26 years after it came out, and because Earthbound was a big success on the Wii U VC. If rumours/reports are to be believed then it is Nintendo of Europe working on the translation, which doesn't surprise me one bit because the folks over in the Treehouse are a joke. This year will be the 10th anniversary of Mother 3's release and the game is already out on the Japanese eShop for Wii U. I know I'm not the only person on here who would very much welcome the release of Mother 3, but for now we continue to wait. Source
  2. You cannot expect it to come to PS4. Not everything under the sun has to come to the PS4 just because it goes to arcades. Nor can you use Dissidia as an example as it is a fighting game, which is the norm for that genre. You should really stop mixing assumptions up with fact. We shouldn't expect anything. Nothing is ever official until Square Enix announce it.
  3. This has been confirmed for quite some time now. Ice Age 4 was pretty bad, but as long as the franchise still makes money then Blue Sky Studios will keep doing them.
  4. I watch the odd react video from time to time (it really depends on the topic), but this React World stuff is stupid. They are pretty much trying to profit off of reaction videos as if they invented the entire concept which is just stupid. I'm glad they are getting a lot of flack for this, because they deserve it.
  5. I like a few so I can't really choose. Chain of Memories (GBA), Kingdom Hearts II, Birth by Sleep and KH3D have the strongest scores though.
  6. Meghan Sullivan has had some incredibly dodgy reviews (*cough* Steins;Gate *cough*) for IGN and that review is no different. Her tone throughout it is grating to listen to. I'm glad the dislike bar is visible on that video. The girl really can't review and she's not the only one at IGN either.
  7. I'm not sure. Both Days and Re:coded were ok games, but I'd be in no hurry to play either of them if they remade them. Days hasn't aged well and I don't think a remake would help the game because it'll still be rather tedious in its missions. Re:coded has such a barebones story that remaking it for gameplay alone would seem kinda unneccessary. I'd rather see resources be put into newer games, whether it be more side stories or mainline games.
  8. Oh that's a toughy. Steins;Gate Highschool of the Dead Full Metal Panic! These two are just for the childhood nostalgia: Pokémon (Master Quest) -- It's so cringy it's great. Digimon Adventure -- It's so cringy it's great. There's a number of good openings that I like so it's hard to narrow it down.
  9. Either SoS or The Grid. Those were the most enjoyable for me at least. The World That Never Was was a bit of a clusterfudge in terms of design, they should have made it easier to navigate around like in KH2.
  10. They really had to play it safe with Episode VII. If they deviated far too much from the original trilogy the older fanbase would have rioted. I'm in the boat that thinks Episode VII isn't a bad film. It was funny and the cast were great. Sure the story is a bit familiar, but I'd say judge the film properly when the credits roll for Episode IX. They've done the hard part and successfully brought Star Wars back, now they need Episode VIII and IX to push new ideas even more and give us a good solid trilogy. If Episode VIII takes too much inspiration from Empire then it will be disappointing and likewise for IX. Episode VII was a solid Star Wars film and I feel the complaints were gonna be there regardless if it hadn't been "a bit too familiar".
  11. Drakengard would be neat. I'd definitely like to see what the two games were like.
  12. It's barely a review though? You are playing the opinion card without really having an opinion. One of your complaints is that a character is named Yonah, that is nitpicking to the extreme. This just in: Square Enix name things Cloud, Lightning and Snow..... <- These are not names. My second post to you was me giving you constructive criticism on how you can expand on your reviews and actually give a valid food for thought. You have criticised me in the past on certain things.
  13. Not every game needs to be rated for children. The games have mature themes and they are rated and targeted to people as such. Both Nier and Drakengard have their share of problems, but so does every game. You're right, not many people want a game with incest or sex, but others aren't fazed by it. Your review of Nier does the game a disservice because you didn't elaborate on anything for more than a few words. Therefore people who go in blindly to your review thinking "Sora96 is a big fan of Square Enix games, I'm sure he knows what he's talking about", are going to be pretty turned off by the game. Why isn't the gameplay fun? Why did you find the story confusing? The game isn't appealing to you, why? You don't elaborate on anything and based on your review above, I'm under the impression you never even finished Nier. For me Nier has good characters, music and a memorable story. Sure the visuals are a let down, and this was never rectified in Drakengard 3, but Nier Automata looks like a really nice game. Though that's because it has the Platinum seal of quality so... All I'm saying is if you are going to criticise a game for this, that and the other, then at least elaborate on why it is both bad or good. You don't have to like it, but at least make a convincing case as to why you don't.
  14. Nier is a good game with an outstanding soundtrack. In fact the soundtrack is easily one of the strong points in the game. Story is down to personal taste, but it isn't hard to follow. You hated on Drakengard 3 too, clearly the games just aren't for you.
  15. America: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlcckRrhaNQ UK/Europe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVfJeB4WQ5Q With other "special products" to be announced soon, or at least that's what it says on the UK site.
  16. I'm not that much of a "genwunner", but I'll definitely grab these cover plates and a few Pokemon Generations boosters. Oh and some of those legendaries that they are distributing. Here's to a good year for Pokemon!
  17. The lack of Vita version is absolutely stupid. Granted it was more than likely made with smartphones in mind then ported to the Vita, but still. I'm less likely to buy a game on my phone than on the Vita. I would have supported a digital-only release on Vita, but clearly SE can't even be bothered with that.
  18. Super Smash Bros, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon. Though I love a number of games on my Wii U.
  19. Ooh tough to nail down to just one I'll go with the Birth by Sleep trailer that was like 7 minutes long. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kihbkAy6Vg ...But I give honourable mentions to Kingdom Hearts III's E3 2015 trailer and Kingdom Hearts 2.5's "Introducing the Magic" trailer.
  20. Yep, I think they are just randomly found. I know I got Zael in the shop any ways
  21. Zael: Calista:
  22. I'd like to see him work on a new Kirby game. It seems like it'd be a less stressful job for him haha.
  23. I don't understand the unnecessary jab at the 3DS. If Explorers doesn't sell well that is down to Square Enix and not because the 3DS is going into its 5th year on the market. The 3DS still has many games to offer with arguably the most anticipated one coming in February for a number of American gamers, Fire Emblem Fates. If Square Enix would actually advertise the game over here then maybe it'd have a chance. The game is out at the end of the month and they aren't even reminding people that it's coming. If it flops it's because Square Enix simply don't give a shit.
  24. Pokémon Ruby. Not counting Pokemon or Kingdom Hearts, or World of Warcraft then it'll have to be Final Fantasy IV on DS.
  25. The Last Story was great, not without its flaws sure, but it was a real gem in the Wii's final days. Of course it'll always be compared to Xenoblade Chronicles because of the Operation Rainfall thing, but I always found the games to be very different and easily separable. I loved the cast of The Last Story (helped by the great dub!) and it was an enjoyable game. The controls were tough to get used to at first, but I think you can actually turn off the auto-attack in the settings (or maybe my memory is wrong on that). I do wish Mistwalker had made another RPG for the Wii U, but it's understandable that they didn't. Though I believe Nintendo own The Last Story IP so... They could always do something with it if they wanted. Zael and Calista having trophies in Smash Wii U shows that they at least didn't forget about the game
