    Riku has long hair in the trailer in his kh2 outfit. Is there hope that it will stay for future games? x3

    I bet that part is just symbolic of their conflict with Xehantort(s). I think he is still gonna have his hair short in the rest of the game.

    I think that the only reason he had long hair in kh2 was because he didn't really have time to get a freaking haircut, he was kinda busy. But during the time between the end of kh2 and kh3d he was able to get one. Besides, he had short hair in kh1, which probably means he has a preference for short hair.
