  1. I seriously wish that it gave me something gameplay wise other than what I already have. I think it's neat, but I already own the two kh games for ds, making this a little pointless for me.
  2. Joseph chugged the Mana potion down greedily, thankful for the relief it was providing for his head ache. "No problem," he responded to her thanks. "We've got to start looking out for one another now. We're all on the same team. I'm just glad we're close to Parma at this point. I'm going to need to rest before we take on the Magi, however. Especially if he has a Gigas contract like the other two did." Joseph looked over at the imposing man. He had been hit, that was for sure, and he was slightly injured, but he seemed not to feel a thing, and if anything looked disappointed that the fight was over. What sort of man was this?
  3. Seeing the Treant was on its last legs, so to speak, Joseph prepared a spell he hadn't used for a good long time. "Dragonfire," he whispered, and searched the inner most parts of his soul to find the power hidden within those words. Finding nothing at first, he searched deeper, looking for that part of his self which was connected to the mightiest of magical beasts, the dragons, and calling out for its power. As blood trickled down from his nose as a sign of greater mental stress, he finally found that which he was looking for. Flames sprang forth from the tip of his rod like a geyser, rushing toward the defenseless treant and scorching it thouroughly, in some parts to ashes. Exhausted but finally free of the beasts, Joseph dropped to one knee to wipe away the blood and catch his breath.
  4. Anfang woke up to the sweet smell of bacon. "Awesome, Taylor must already be here!" Anfang thought. His adoptive parents were rich as all get out, but they were hardly ever home. Instead, they'd hired Taylor to be their babysitter/live-in maid. She had recently gotten out of college at the early age of sixteen, and was working there until she'd earned enough money to travel the world and teach in exotic places. Anfang couldn't complain. His "parents" were nice enough, but Taylor? Ahh, ~Taylor~. To say he had a crush would be an understatement. As an android he was technically ageless, however he was "aged" to be about sixteen, though most people viewed him as about five or six. Taylor was unfortunatly one of those people. "Stop droolin' over yer babysitter, boy, and go get us some food! And by us, I mean me. Get me some food!" came the familiar sound of Uncle Leroy. Uncle Leroy was the persona taken by Anfang's cpu, in charge of all of his more complex functions and a complete redneck. Anfang got dressed in his school uniform and rolled up his sleeves as always, trying to show off his (comparitivly) ripped arm muscles. "Now remember Anfang, today's the day you've got to learn about that Goku guy to fulfill your primary objectives," reminded Uncle Leroy. "I know, I know," Anfang muttered back under his breath as he headed downstairs. "Morning, darling," began Anfang, speaking to Taylor. "How're those eggs coming along?" "Goodmorning Anfang!" she began smiling brightly. They ate breakfast among smiles and idle chatter as always, then they loaded up in the car and headed for Orange Star Academy. He could've gotten to school far faster by flying. Heck, even running would be leaps and bounds faster than this. Then again, he wouldn't have been able to spend as much time with Taylor that way, and that wouldn't do. "Do well in class today!" she called after him. He smiled and waved back before walking to his kindergarden class. He used to be furious that he, as a sixteen year old, would be placed in a kindergarden class. He soon got over it, however, and even began to enjoy his position there. Naps and snack time? Things could definatly be worse. He'd become friends with some of the kids in his class pretty fast, and had even told his secret to a few of them. It wasn't like they really cared or anyone would take them seriously anyway. "Imma access your power-level viewifying mijigger. You just pick out the kid in your class with the highest power-level and ask them what they know about that Goku fella. The people with the most power are generally the ones who know the most about other people with power," Uncle Leroy propted him. Anfang nodded in agreement, then the power-levels of each person he looked at were revealed to him via his retinal scouter. It was unsurprising that the majority of them were weak, however one stood out greatly. The power of his personal friend, Gohan. If he had simply turned around, however, he may have seen yet another surprising power-level, that of Kyle. "Gohan," he began, walking up to his friend, "Would you happen to know anything about someone named Goku?" Gohan chuckled under his breath. "Yeah silly, he's my dad!" "Well, here goes nothing," Anfang mumbled to himself and Uncle Leroy. "Hey, Gohan!" he called. "You wanna hang out after school at your place?" Gohan smiled brightly. "Sure! I just have to ask my mom. She gets kind of particular about that sort of thing." After school Gohan's mom, Chi Chi, picked the two of them up. When they got to his home Anfang had some fun sparring with Gohan and playing "extreme" versions of sports. Chi Chi freaked out more than once, but Gohan insisted that Anfang not worry about it so they simply went inside and played some board games. "Hey look, it's almost time for dinner!" cried Gohan excitedly. Just then, Goku came home. "I've got us a fish and I'm craving some cupcakes!!!" he shouted as he walked through the door, slamming the massive fish down on the table. "Okay, I'll make your cupcakes but only if you get that smelly fish out of here!" Chi Chi responded. All of this was lost on Anfang, however, as Leroy announced "Kill drive activated. Current target located. Eliminate at any cost. Initiate destruction." Anfang stood where he was and followed Goku as he walked out of the house. "Goku, surrender. Your power-level is insignificant," Anfang informed him. Goku turned around after dropping the fish on an outside table. "Wait, huh? Surrender? What're you talking about?" "Subject fails to comply. Only available course of action is complete annihalation," came Anfang's words, though they seemed not to be his own. Suddenly, Anfang disappeared in a flash of light, moving faster than a blink to Goku's location. Where Goku's head had been, there was Anfang's fist. Goku had needed to lean backwards to avoid the blow, and caught Anfang's fist in his open palm. "Wow, you're actually pretty fast," he said cheerfully. "See Gohan, this is what I'm trying to get you to learn with your speed training!" Anfang then disappeared again, reappearing behind Goku and began a flurry of attacks, and Goku dodged without trying. "See how his feet and arms move in perfect syncronization?! It's almost flawless," Goku said. Then Anfang jumped back and began charging his Kienzan. "Well that's not too friendly! Hey no cheating," Goku said, he then punched Anfang in the left temple. Anfang flew into a rock, hitting his right temple on it. "Obj..object...comp...compleee...Missingno...010010111010101...Ima Barbie Girl!..Failure to compleeeeeeee...Malfunction.....Objective Lost...re-establishing new objective...new objective=?" Leroy began. "What is that noise?!? Gohan go outside, and MAKE SURE EVERYONE IS OK!" Chi Chi yelled. "Make sure everyone is ok....new objective affirmed. Systems loading..." Leroy said. (Bolded due to importance) Anfang woke up, and he couldn't remember anything after Gohan being excited for dinner. "Owww...my headdd..." Anfang said rubbing his head, "Wow...you guys really need a new landscape designer to come...fix this dump of a yard." Goku looked at him completly puzzled. "Hey, what were we doing?" Anfang asked. "We were making cupcakes!!!" Goku said laughing. "Wow sweeet! Are they done??" Anfang asked. "Hey Chi Chi, how long on the cupcakes?" Goku asked. "You'll get your cupcakes, when you fix the freaking hole in the wall!!!!" Chi Chi yelled. "So..." ,Goku said fixing the wall, "Now?" "What about the yard???" ,Chi Chi asked. "Aww, come on...can't I wait until tomorrow??? The guest wants cupcakes!" Goku said smiling. Chi Chi shrugs and put and puts them on the table. Goku grabbed the plate of cupcakes and began to walk off. "What about the GUEST Goku???" ,Chi Chi said angrily. "Oh...right," Goku said dreamily, his eyes focused only on the cupcakes before him. He handed Anfang a single cupcake, and then walked off with the rest. Anfang was about to eat it when Gohan interjected, "Don't you think we need a balanced dinner first? It's a key element to our young childhood development, and vital to our growth!" "Pssh, that may be true for you, but I'm 16 and I gots da munchies for some cupcakey goodness!" Anfang said. He crammed the cupcake into his mouth. "Oh my goodness! These are the best damn cupcakes that I've ever eated, tell dat woman ta make sum MORE!!!" Leroy yelled. "Leroy says these are great! He wants more, but a young lady like you shouldn't have to slave over a stove all day," Anfang said kindly. "Oh my! What great manners!" ,Chi Chi said, "Well for you, I'll make as many cupcakes as you want!" "Manipulation success! Cupcake consumption is imminate," Anfang thought. "Yeeehaawww!! That's what I like to hear!!!" Leroy yelled. After a dinner of nothing but cupcakes Anfang used the telephone, to call Taylor to come pick him up. Again, he could have easily flown home but....~Taylor~. It had been a pretty exciting day, and he wondered at what would happen tomorrow. Only time would tell.
  5. August thought to himself. "No idea what's really going on here or what I can do to help, but I know I have to do something." Vaan responded as August headed out the door behind Marcus. "That's the spirit!"
  6. Turning back to the Treant, Joseph cast a fireball spell at it's head. He could feel his magic draining fast, so he opted to close the distance and strike it's leg with string of firey blows. They still took some magic, but not nearly so much as his spells. It would soon be down, much to Joseph's relief, but it still had a lot of fight in it until then.
  7. Name: Anfang Sex: Male Age: 16 but people often think that he's far younger. Appearance: Think the small character in character creation from Ultimate Tenkaichi. He's slightly tan, has the bed head hairstyle with dark brown hair, and has light blue eyes with an aura to match. His adoptive parents make him wear the school uniform, though he always rolls up his sleeves both as a sign of resistance and to show off for his crush/babysitter, Taylor. Race: Sayan Android Scouter: Seeing as he's an android, it's built in Abilities: He's incredibly fast and though he can't deal much damage in a single blow, he makes it up by hitting often and avoiding attacks. Due to his additional cpu, Uncle Leroy, he can (over time) discover an enemy's strengths and weaknesses. He has a variation on Krillin's Kienzan ability. Bio: Created by Dr. Gero to annihilate Goku, his CPU is given a kill drive that will activate as soon as Goku appears, and he is put into a stasis sleep until completion. He is given cells from Vegeta, Nappa, and Krillin. Thus making him Dr. Gero's first actual attempt at Cell configuration, but he is given a sayain appearance (minus the tail). Once he awakens, he heads out to find Goku, but is picked up by a cop who thinks he's an ordinary five year old. He gets adopted by a family, and put into the same school as Gohan and Kyle. He also has a 24 hour baby sitter named Taylor with whom he is in love, but she thinks he is five. So all of his advances are taken as cute little kid stuff. He's generally light hearted and is a pretty funny guy. Alignment: Good, but there's a complication at first
  8. Seeing Gen struck, Joseph quickly cast a Cure spell to relieve some of her pain and hopefully seal up the wound. He decided to toss in a Cure spell for good measure, just in case she'd been poisoned by the attack, and let Brutus take care of the Treant for now. After all, healing allies was far more important than striking down enemies.
  9. "Oh, Tifa? She was always pretty cool. I felt bad for her about the whole Cloud situation, though. Mine's from Final Fantasy XII, as is this girl named Sara's. We got split up recently, though. I have Vaan, and aside from the obvious physical boost, I now have the ability to summon weapons at will and do variations on some of the concurrences from the game, along with his Quickenings, or what you'd call Limit Breaks. The only bad thing is that I haven't figured out a way to do them using Vaan's nearly boundless energy and instead have to use my own. Once I can figure that out, I should be a much bigger help in a fight. At least I'm decent at adapting to changing environments," August answered. As an after thought, he added "So who's Joy's inhabiter, and what about you Marcus?"
  10. Ignoring the vein cries of the ax wielder and silently thanking Gen for taking care of the potentially annoying and dangerous vespids, Seph cast a fireball towards the Treant's head and rushed up close. "Prepare to burn!" he shouted, then began to strike the same leg, though the opposite side, as Brutus was attacking. Joseph's staff became wreathed in flames as he swung it dexterously around, striking at the leg while avoiding the other foot's stomp, all in one fluid motion. "Brutus, hack at the leg now! We need this thing down!" Joseph shouted. (OOC: Do you guys want to use the in-game mechanics in the future or do you want to make it more realistic? Example: Parrying blows, sensitive areas, blood, cutting, actual damage, actual armor resistance, etc.)
  11. (OOC: Ah, apologies. I had forgotten that August didn't come in to the first fight with Sephiroth until it was over, you were far from the scene, and then Scardigne showed up. About the lake house, that was actually Scardigne/Gabranth training there. August/Vaan has no lake house. August made his way to the hospital after escaping Scardigne and, after signing in, fell unconscious at the front desk. I figure that our two characters living in the same apartment complex would be the easiest way to explain my oversight, so if you wouldn't mind then I'll go with that.) Mariah seemed a little confused about who he was. August couldn't blame her. He'd only moved into the apartment complex a few days ago and the only reason she'd made a big impression was because she was one of the first truly kind people he'd met since moving over from London. "It's August, and nice to meet you Marcus," he said, first to her, then turning to the guy next to her. "I, uh, live in the same apartment complex as you. We met a few days ago," he continued, trying to explain the situation to Mariah. Was he really so forgettable? His shy nature had kept him secluded from others for far too long. He was honestly thankful for the influence Vaan was having on him, even if it did come at the price of being hunted like a demon. Wait... nevermind. "Yeah, you could say I've been through a bit lately. I arrived at the scene of a meteor crash shortly after it occurred and was harassed by a loon once I got there, a guy convinced that he was going to save the world by eliminating me and a few new friends just because we were special." August seriously hoped that she caught on, because he really didn't feel like being more obvious than that. A newscast flashed on which caught all of their attention. Another one of us? Boy if anyone's a monster it's that guy, August thought. "I get a feeling that we're going to have to do something about this ourselves," Vaan said to August. After the newscast, Marcus gave his spill. Guess we're all on the same page then, thought August. Vaan, however, simply sighed. "Yep, my feeling about this has been confirmed. Well, I guess this is as good a chance as any to get in some practice and make our mark on this world!"
  12. "I had a decent childhood. My dad was a train conductor and my mom was a shopkeeper in the city of Greede. Dad and mom both died in a train derailment when a group of radicals from another country, insistant on taking Greede for their own, attacked the monster's leg and made it shift the entire city. Feeling powerless to do anything, I trained to become a mage. I did some freelance questing, but didn't really get anywhere with it and fell on hard times. I used my knowledge of magic to, well, cheat my way into money. I'm not proud of it, but I'm hoping I can redeem myself and maybe even help those whom I've taken from. While I only know a small amount of Divine magic and a fair amount of Elemental magic, what I really excel in is utilizing a rod to it's full potential. Many people fail to realize just how potent a weapon it can be, and I plan to take full advantage of that," Joseph responded, glad to get everything out and in the open. Hearing a loud thud over and over getting progessively closer, Joseph got on his guard. "Hey guys, I think that we might have a problem here. Treant at 2:00, with a couple of Vespids to boot. We take care of this, though, and we should be set."
  13. August woke up, feeling far better than he had before. His body was still injured and he barely had any energy to spare, but considering he was on deaths doorstep just a few hours before, he considered it great progress. "You know, we've really got to work on our synchronization if we're ever going to stand a chance in another battle. I have a lot of different weapons to summon which provides great versatility, but if you don't have the strength or stamina to pull it off then they won't be worth much," Vaan thought to August. "I know, I know!" August responded inwardly, getting out of his bed and into his clothes, neatly lain out for him. "Well then there's no use in sitting around like this!" said Vaan to him, his cheerful nature almost annoying. August headed past various concerned Nurses, dismissing them with a smile and a wave as he headed for the Consierge desk at the front to check himself out. Upon arriving there he saw a surprising but welcome sight. "Hey Mariah, what're you doing here and who's the new guy?"
  14. Okay, I know that Birth by Sleep doesn't have a number in it's title, but for all intents and purposes it is Kingdom Hearts Zero. I believe that Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hearts, Chain of Memories (or Re:Chain, if you prefer), Kingdom Hearts II, and now Kingdom Hearts 3D to be the major games in the series, with the others serving valid gameplay and storyline purposes, the weakest of which (storyline wise) was Re:Coded.
  15. Dress: Same Weapon: Oak Staff Items: Health Potion I, Mana Potion I (2), Revival Powder, Inspecticals (5) When the three had finished gearing up for the task set ahead of them they stepped through Balandor's gates and headed across the Balastor Plains towards Parma in search of the escaped Magi. Joseph wasn't sure exactly what the future had in store, but he was confident that with these two by his side, it would be much better than the past he'd come from. If nothing else, it would sure as heck be interesting. "So, guys," he asked to pass the time, "what're your stories? And I'm not talking bedtime stories here, I mean your life experiences and all of that jazz."
  16. OOC: Hey guys, I'm dropping out of this particular rp. Feel free to claim either Neku or Spiderman for yourself to control, just try your best to do them justice.
  17. Medens was a little sad to see the pretty elf lady go, but he knew that he needed to get back to his training. "Okay, let's go for power this time, because control is sooo much easier for me," he mumbled to himself. Facing the far target he closed his eyes and focused in on the energy flowing without and within his body and the area surrounding him. He searched for the empty space, divoid of magic, with the realization that in the future his targets will be full of energy and life. Shuddering at the thought, he pushed it from his mind. Medens reached into the very core of his being and pulled out every ounce of energy he had, focusing it all into the space directly ouside from his hands, using them as shells with which to channel the energy. It cackled fiercly between his palms, the bright light reflecting off of the chrystalized formation within his eyes. When he pushed his hands forward to unleash the electrical energy, he finally realized the extent of power he had held within. The electricity, unpredictable and wild by nature, threatened to arch towards some of the other targets, trees, and worst of all, nearby archers. Through a great force of will, Medens managed to contain the blast to the target before him. As the target was hit, the sheer force of impact along with the energy it carried with it caused the target and it's surrounding area to explode catastrophically.
  18. Spiderman and Neku both focused on the Doom-bots, Neku clearing out large numbers of them with single blows of various psychs, but was becoming tired quickly. Spiderman, on the other hand, flung them into one another and launched a flurry of blows upon any enemies stupid enough to get close. (Sorry, I don't quite post often enough to go along with the main story stuff, so I set my characters on handling the small army for now.)
  19. Enchanted Dominion answered. "Well, I'd suggest starting with Castle of Dreams. She isn't terribly good at defending herself and now that I think of it, I haven't heard from her in a while." "I concur," interjected Mysterious Tower, oblivious to Twilight Town's movements. "Comparably to the standard brightness of individual worlds, hers seems to have dimmed the most."
  20. Well Ash seemed nice enough. (If you haven't noticed already, Medens sees the best in everybody, even if it isn't there.) "Yeah, I'm pretty new here. I'm glad that you're okay. I guess I'll let you get back to your unconventional archery, and I'll get started on my offensive magic practice. It was nice to meet you!" he said and then turned to walk away.
  21. Sora and Vanitas switch sides. Nuff said. Jk, won't happen but it sure fits the "light and darkness" thing.
  22. Learn his move set to know when he'll do what. Get as many elixirs as you can. When he surrounds himself in pillars of fire use Ars Archanum on him. When he calls down meteors STAY THE HECK AWAY. When he uses "Descend, Heartless Angel" then use one of the aforementioned elixirs asap. That's about it. Oh, and keep hitting him.
  23. "Oh, well that's good. My name's Medens, what's yours? Oh, and why were you up in that tree in the first place?" Medens asked. It was incredibly unusual to see an elf in person. Medens had been only three when the war started, and elves were on the opposing side. Still, he had to wonder... Are all Elven girls this pretty?
  24. "Wait, but that means...!" Enchanted Dominion shouted out in protest and shock. Was that why there were so few worlds here at the conference? How had he not noticed before? A knight such as himself should have been more vigilant as to ensure the safety of others. He was such a disgrace to his adoptive godmothers that he wasn't sure if he would be able to face them again, much less face them with honor.
