  1. I was overstating for sure, mostly because in the last year we've gotten the Frank Milleresque "Batman v Superman," the creepypasta Joker in "Suicide Squad," and a rather disappointing outing in "The Killing Joke" (which, ironically, is one of the best moments for Batman as a character, where we fully understand that he doesn't just kill the Joker because he actually just doesn't want to). I just want something that gets off of the dark n' gritty train for a bit.
  2. Death doesn't stay permanent because they keep beating up Hades, so he can't do his job and make sure all of the souls stay where they are. If we don't want people to come back, we should stop beating up the God of the Dead.
  3. What this is is the best Batman. The one that didn't pander to edgelords and try hards. The one that focused more on fun and less on brooding. The one that, frankly, was far more truthful to the comics than most people ever want to admit. For people who are disappointed, I'm sure you can go to Hot Topic and drown your sorrows in all that deep and cutting edge Heath Ledger merch.
  4. They actually got #CellGames to trend on Twitter.
  5. Finally beat the Nameless King! :D

  6. GOD, Brock Lesnar can only have boring matches. Hell's bells.

When your repertoire consists of German Suplexes, and punches, you're not going get much excitement.

Saw what he did to the guy. Did he get arrested for that?

  7. I want to get all of the laughing emotes for Overwatch and conjure severe salt

You'd conjure severe salt even without the emotes xD

  8. A big part of casting is how much of a draw the name will be, for sure, but the thing is, it ultimately becomes something of a self fulfilling prophecy if the big roles in the big movies only go to white actors/actresses, who in turn become big from said roles, while denying the same big ticket roles to actors of color and thus denying them the chance to be on the same marketing level.
  9. The main thing is that there are proportionately fewer roles for non-white actors and actresses, especially in super hero films, so that when a story has a character of, in the case of Ghost in the Shell, Asian descent, then basically denying that role to Asian actors is kind of a dick move. Another good example is how The Great Wall movie is casting Matt Damon in the main role when it makes zero sense for him to do so, historically or culturally. It seems like a double standard to only apply the culture swapping criticism to one side, but when a good chunk of the main starring roles are going to whites, the fact is that the double standard is going the other way.
  10. Aaaw, that's a really nice short. Makes up for all of the rage that I aim at Bastion on a daily basis.
  11. Well, the project I worked on didn't get funding. Disappointed.

  12. I hope so. Fighting Sher Khan is the boss fight I've wanted forever.
  13. You're a cagey one, Scott

Yes, another game that no one is forced to play/watch/read about.

  14. Found an article that displays alleged concept art for the Dark Souls 3 DLC. It's not really confirmed if these are legit or not, but they're fun to look at it. http://segmentnext.com/2016/08/17/dark-souls-3-dlc-concept-art/
  15. Map looks fun. Definitely reminds me of the Rottenburg map in TF2, which was also fun.
  16. I'm not sure about it being pointless. In my opinion, it's far better to hear out differing points of view than simply surround ourselves with yes-men who regurgitate back to us what we want to hear. As someone who considers himself religious, I welcome scientific debate if for no other reason than it forces you to recognize the world outside of your comfortable bubble, and gives you things to think about. If nothing else, it makes religion have to consider itself in a current age and adapt accordingly (in theory). The problem stems from people who are less concerned about having a debate, persay, and are more concerned about digging their heels in and trying to force the other person to admit that they are right, to the point where they're not really having a debate so much as they are having a gigantic circle jerk. The aim shouldn't be to change the other persons mind, but rather to have a conversation and entertain different modes of thought.
  17. I only just got that Sora fights his shadow in Neverland, and at the start of Peter Pan, Peter is trying to catch his shadow that has run away from him.

  18. I've played through Dark Souls a whole lot of times, and still find new ways to play it.
  19. This is a short movie that I was on the crew of, and is currently in the race against 15 other films to try and get funding to make more episodes. All it takes is a click on the link, and a vote if you happened to like what you saw! I think it's a fun idea, and if it can get any extra support, it would be much appreciated. http://www.storyhive.com/project/show/id/1090
  20. That was actually one of my reasons when I chose the Witch King.
  21. Oh Felicia, my precious, my baby! Did daddy's little honey bunny enjoy her tasty treat?
  22. Interesting: Scott updated his site with a new teaser this morning, then returned it to the old one tonight.

  23. Found this meme and thought it was fun. Basically, you go through the Overwatch team and replace the members with other characters, either based on similarities of the jobs, similar looks, etc. Template can be found here: http://astradatboi.deviantart.com/art/WE-ARE-OVERWATCH-Meme-Template-625559803 Here is mine:
  24. Not directly, but it's heavily implied in the third game that he's had a hand (so to speak) in some of the things that has occurred in Lothric.
  25. Quelanna is in the first game, but you need to have a Pyro Flame that is boosted to +5 for her to appear in the Blighttown Swamp. I only ran into her because I was doing a Pyromancer build; she's very easy to miss in the game. There's definitely a thing or two going on with Frampt, and although he certainly gives you a helping hand, he doesn't necessarily lay all of his cards on the table. That's absolutely one of the best answers. Dark Souls is all about making your own journey and developing your own characters. I've got a fair amount of OCs from the game that I love and adore, and the games environment helps mold and craft them to make them all that they can be.
