The series actually changed a lot since the original games.Sure the basic structure of the story is similar but other things are vastly different as every generation introduced something new to distinguish it from the one before.

I heavily disagree with your comment cuz it's like saying that Final Fantasy VII is the same game as FF1 on NES,the appeal of Pokemon,beside lore stuff if you bothered to play the series beyond Red and Blue,was the gameplay,exploration and the multiplayer aspect.I don't want this to come off as if I'm an elitist but please do a little research on the series before commenting

It's already been announced LAST YEAR.Not a full announcement but it is announced and it's officially listed by Nintendo for a 2018 or later release

Ok this is asking for waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much Especially for turn based RPG and a franchise WITH OVER 800 MONSTERS TO PROGRAM and no I'm not gonna take 151 originals again just to have the series be a Breath of the Wild clone rather than being it's own thing WE.HAD.ENOUGH.OF.KANTO How do you want the series to progress if you want them to keep visiting the same firetrucking region from 22 years ago over and over and over and over again. And even if we assumed it'll be like Breath of the Wild,I don't want it to be in Kanto at all. Kanto is a a very linear and small region to begin with and there are only so many ways you can explore Mt.Moon for the 300th time in a row Not to mention,the next in line for remakes are the sinnoh games:Diamond,Pearl and Platinum so it's not fair to pander to Genwunners alone and leave Gen 4 fans in the dust You got Kanto 4 times,it's time we get our favorite regions have the spotlight

1/That Pikachu trailer is just a promo for the characters.....dozens like it were made in previous gens and 2/How is it too early?the two year gap is nothing new cuz there was a 2 year gap between gen 5 and 6 and three between 6 and 7 The Kanto starters aren't really stealing any show cuz really only Charizard is getting more love when it comes to final evolutions And 3/The President of the Pokemon Company himself confirmed in E3 last year that the Switch game will be a mainline Pokemon game not a spin-off like colosseum And finally/Releasing the same old game as Pokemon's HD debut will be financial suicide as the backlash will cause the game to sell like garbage If you want a kanto remake....there is FireRed and LeafGreen and Heartgold/SoulSilver for you we're sick of Kanto cuz it's been revisited 4 times in a row throughout the series I want a new generations I'm so sick of the gen 1 pandering and I don't want them to ditch the 700 Pokemon that came after just to pander to the freakin 151 originals for the milionth time in a row

@2 quid They seem small yes but they're backed by the casual crowd who probably only ever remember Gen 1 hence why you see GameFreak pandering to them a lot like how Alolan Forms in Gen 7 are exclusive to Pokemon from the Kanto pokedex.They're actively ruining Pokemon for everybody by giving GameFreak the wrong message that "everyone" seems to only want gen 1

I wouldn't mind Kanto if it's something like Gen 2....a post game region instead of having an entire game dedicated to it again Genwunners are the worst cuz those are the same people who accuse the series of being the same yet they ask for the same thing from 22 years ago The gameplay will be updated but they won't ditch the old system but rather refine it and add to it the same way gen 3 added abilities,Gen 4 added the physical/special split,gen 5 introduced hidden abilities and gen 6 introduced mega evolutions So I expect an update similar to those.

I'm absolutely on the same boat as you especially as someone who bought FF15 day one only to find out they'd make a Royal edition with every DLC from the first season pass Sadly I feel like it's inevitable considering that the game has been in development for half a decade now so most likely some story stuff will be either cut out or added later as DLC with some "Book of Prophecy Edition" that has all DLC in 2020 I'm so fed up with Square Enix at this point that even tho I'm excited for KH3 I kinda contemplate the decision of delaying my purchase

This pretty much sums up why I despise this game so much I was geniunely excited for it up until I tried the beta which was the very first sign that square would firetruck it up Oh and to elaborate on the asinine story mode further.Even if you decide to look up the cutscenes on youtube the story is utter trash with no simplence of cohesive flow or even a solid narrative There is this shit about a random dragon which at first I thought was Shinryu as the first two Dissidias were building up to his encounter which builds to a very anti-climactic fight that doesn't even come close to the battle with Chaos in the original or even the superboss battle with Feral Chaos in 012 Dissida was the one branch of final fantasy I hoped Square Enix could never tarnish....but they somehow found a way. I'm so fed up with Square Enix at this point

Here is the thing,watching the game and actually playing it are totally two different things and even then there were problems with the gameplay back then Secondly,just because you're porting an arcade game doesn't mean the game has the excuse to be bare bones.....it's why arcade fighters like Blazblue and Tekken add additional modes when they jump from arcades to consoles This game doesn't even have practice mode or local multiplayer even when other arena fighters had it And you can only use ONE HP attack at a time which is dumb and massively limit the potential for combos Sure I might want Meteo on Cloud for ranged options when I can't get close but I can't tell you how many times I set up a wall combo into Cross slash.......only to realize I don't have cross slash on me cuz my muscle memory is so used to the originals when I had more than one HP attack

Been a while since I felt like posting anything here but no one I know on Facebook had the game so might as well post this here My firetrucking God this game is such a disappointment.I was geniunely excited for Dissidia NT back when it was announced up until the closed beta.And playing through full game it looks like not much was improved there. The offline content is even less than the PSP duology and the way you progress in story mode is the stupidest thing I've ever seen in a fighting game campaign(you can only progress through using Memoria points which you get by either playing online or grinding your ass off in Gauntlet mode) As for the online,it was improved a bit compared to the closed beta but not by much and it's a faaaaar cry from the online of some other online arena fighters like Pokken Tournament.It takes forever for the game to match you with your other teammates and the opposing team and 6 times out of ten the game will simply say firetruck you we'll match you with dumb CPUs on your team(and you'll never with CPU teammates against a human controlled team) and sometimes you won't even fight online at all it'll be an all CPU match.It's really firetrucking bad.And whenever the game matches you with other humans,the connection ranges from passable with some lag to OH MY GOD AM I PLAYING BRAWL AGAIN.And even with passable connection the input lag can screw you over Also no local vs mode of any sort which is dumb considering that freakin DBZ Tenkaichi AND the Naruto Storm games had it with Tenkaichi using a split screen for it.Yes it's a 3v3 but it's also an arena fighter where you'll need to practice combos and familiarize yourself with the overly spacious stages(which is another gripe I have with the game).Also,and I hope someone proves me wrong on this,there is no voice chat of any sort in-game.Sure you can do party chat from within the Ps4 but you can't chat with randoms and the worst part is that even if there is an option to chat,there is no option to stick with a party like say Overwatch if you happen to find good players unless you add them to your friendlist. Ugh I should've bought Dragon Ball Fighter Z when I had the chance and I'm so fed up with Square Enix at this point I loved the Dissidia duology so much and spend close to 80 hours on each back in the day and I was geniunely excited for NT.But the signs were there since the closed beta but I tried to preserve the little faith I had that the issues would be fixed It's hilarious that they want this game to have a legit competitive scene yet never bothered to to refine the competitive elements of it but that's a topic for another day cuz I'm so done with this game

All I know is that he just wanna reenact the keyblade war again to satiate his curiosity...............that's it. typical mad scientist stuff where scientist villain dude wanna see what this one dangerous experiment would create even if it meant he'd kill everyone in the process

I love the PSP Dissidias to death don't get me wrong but they were not balanced at all especially when balance is scued in favour of characters who has access to HP Chain attacks that can be chained instantly after a combo

As for the reviews.... @Felixx some of them have some credits especially from fans of the series who could help you save your hard earned 60$ from going to waste or going to the right purchase
