    I would rather a CGI movie than an anime, since the art style would then be similar to the in game graphics, but I doubt they ever would ):

    making it in parts wouldn't work very well.

    Why not just make a series using CGI?

    Y'know, it'll have episodes like an anime/reality show, but with CGI! :D
