  1. No army for you! Except for my less than exceptional combat prowess!
  2. DARKNESS - Every line of his dialogue.
  3. Happy 16th Anniversary to EVERLASTING DARKNESS, I mean, KH and Sora.
  4. Those are both exceedingly perfect voices for Maxis, Scrap. Bloody nora, now I'm having trouble deciding which is better overall... Both are hilarious, insane, hilariously insane... Golly gosh.
  5. Honestly, I hope to hear the 13th Reflection again in KH3. That track, particularly the 2.5 version, was amazing...I just wonder where it would fit.
  6. Bloody hell, my brain is like one of those joke buckets with several holes in the side... I've checked the first page of the Overworld RP proper and I can report that... Yes! The maps are still there.
  7. You know, while watching someone play through KH2FM, I've been stricken with a worry, that KH3 and it's Drive Forms won't persist in cutscenes like they do in 2. I hope my worry is for naught.
  8. - Soren, the Penitent Traitor - Kilkis Campsite, w/ Yevgeni - It had been a long time since Soren had felt true dread in his heart, even when he attempted to safeguard Shiva's life, he didn't feel as uneasy as he did around Maxis, who had mercifully decided to leave him and Yevgeni alone and departed. Soren took no shame in sighing with relief openly, rubbing the back of his neck before straightening up and watching the armour leave. "Darkness is all around Maxis, my liege...it masks the insanity clouding his eyes. Not that Shiva's Faithful was always of sound mind and yet...he could still be reasoned with, admired even, but now...?" Soren squinted his eyes, explaining how Maxis's mere presence told Soren much, before widening them and looking back to Yevgeni. "Something is wrong with him. I suggest we keep our distance from Maxis, for the time being at least...I hope someone, or something, can help him. The last thing this world needs is Shiva's most loyal, and powerful servant, losing his mind and rampaging across the land." Soren said calmly, though inside he was still worried and even afraid of Maxis. It seems that Shiva's death had pushed the Master of Illusions over the edge. Clearing his throat, Soren offered a comforting smile to Yevgeni before extending his arm in a general direction. "Anyway, he has departed for now...I only wish him the best, but as for us, I recall an offer of dinner?" Soren reminded Yevgeni, hoping that they could continue their discussion. - Meksis, the United, Armour of Twilight - Approaching Kilkis Campsite - As both forms of Meksis and their respective powers settled down within and around Meksis, he had almost returned to the main Kilkis Campsite, before he felt something had changed. A familiar presence had returned to Kilkis Seres, so to speak, one he was sure he had met before, so he kept moving, re-entering the Site from its back entrance and moving through, excusing anyone he went past. "Who is it you're so interested in, do you know?" "I have a hunch...on who it might be, but we must be certain." "We? Hmm, that's a first~" Meksis didn't acknowledge his other's comment as he neared the Campsite's entrance, he was startled by the ringing of a low-frequency horn, as were many others in the Camp around him. "That...that horn? One of Shiva's Captains told me that I should heed the sound of a Messenger's Horn." Meksis said to himself, with the Defiled chuckling before musing in his mind. "Well, it's a good thing that said horn is where we are headed, right?" Meksis only nodded before continuing in the direction he was headed, to the front entrance of the camp, where he could see figures outside the camp, appearing to be talking amongst each other, with one figure seemingly holding two creatures upon his shoulders. Strangely, Meksis felt butterflies in his stomach as he approached, hoping to the spirits that he was the right person. Once Meksis was close enough, he was almost sure of who he was, but also that they had noticed him. "Ho there! I heard the horn, who..." Meksis almost froze before resuming, swallowing something in his throat. "My word, is that you, Prince Jynn? I believe we've met before...I am Meksis. Do you remember me? I believe we may have met in a courtyard, with my other armour Maxis and the fabled Dreadnought from the World Below? Correct me if I am mistaken, my lord." Meksis calmed himself as much as he could, even offering a handshake to Jynn. (If I'm wrong, please correct me Thundaga.) - Nergal, the Queenslayer - In the shadows, outside of the Kilkis Camp - So much had happened these past couple of days, Nergal found it all so exciting to think about. The War Between Worlds, meeting Yevgeni for the first time, testing the Dreadnought...killing a Queen, it was truly glorious in his mind. Though he found himself reflecting, as he tended to do, having being used to the feeling for at least five thousand years, give or take. Yet this time, his reflections weren't nihilistic, hollow or miserable...instead, he reflected on what more he could do. "The Source of All Life...if Yevgeni knows of it, then the legends of it must be true...what can it do for me, I wonder? And..." Nergal smirked as he pondered while wringing the life out of an unfortunate fellow in a black coat he had captured while the bustle was going on about the sounded horn, having dragged this man into the shadows before strangling him to death in his arm. "Just how much more chaos can I sow into this world and it's people...?" Despite his pain and anguish being music to his ears, Nergal did away with the theatrics and broke the fey's neck, before dragging him further away, out of sight and mind. Nergal had made a mistake with Shiva's Assassination, dressing as he usually would and forgoing any sort of mask. "I got carried away with Shiva...the excitement and anticipation for the kill was too much...the brutalization too. Not very efficient, or like a proper Assassin...lucky for me that this man won't be needing his darker clothing anymore." Nergal spoke in his mind, relieving the fey, who was merely in the wrong place at the wrong time, of his entire attire, taking his long, hooded cloak, boots and slacks and dumping the body in a ditch. Having swiftly redressed, putting his usual clothing, and mask, away in a pocket dimension where his weapon often went, Nergal had disguised himself, opting to create a new mask as well and putting it on under the hood, a simple, yet cursed looking metal mask, covering only the bottom half of his face and nose...sticking to the shadows as he saw a gathering outside of the Kilkis Seres Campsite. (Nergal's "reclaimed" outfit/disguise in the spoiler below)
  9. Human Guard: Damn it, we almost had him! Keep searching! Fey Guard: Curses...well, we'll capture him soon enough, move out! Soren: ...am I seeing this right?
  10. Aww...thanks, Vaude. That really means a lot to me, to hear you say that. I won't let any of you down, we're seeing this RP to the end. And I'll check the first RP post, make sure the maps are still there and get back to ya. For now, I gotta post, so expect mine soon, guys. By the way...the image of Henry in a Beaglepuss is cracking me up.
  11. I gotta tell ya guys, reading the earliest posts in these Sign-ups/OOCs warms my heart honestly. The enthusiasm for a new RP, discussion regarding how the RP will play out before starting and the anticipation of when the OP/GM began the RP proper...I miss that feeling. With me being more reliable with posting nowadays, I really wish I, as I am now, were there when this all started. I would've had the chance to develop Soren further to be honest, but you know, beggars can't be choosers. The RP started on the 21st of July, 2016, as I recall from my reading, so Overworld's over a year and a half old. What a journey most of us have had, with me tagging on in the middle of the third act and having poor old Soren be mostly silent as I had done my usual rubbish of not posting for too long, then hastily re-developing Soren into a usable character, yada-yada, but I think I've done all right, all things considered, even managed to get two more characters for my efforts. I'm really glad I jumped on board this when I did though. It's been a really damn good RP and we're not even done yet. And I look forward to (hopefully) continuing to be a reliable poster. (Like right now for instance, I really hope I haven't forgotten about an RP. Feel free to slap me if I have. lol) On a side note: Is there a usable Map of the Overworld/World Below right now? The images originally posted have been deleted by Photobucket. (Edit: Curse my ability to read dates. lol)
  12. Soren: I mean...as I've said, I like Cyphs, so this feels...what's the word? Mean?
  13. What's to be ashamed of? Or could you feel many judgmental eyes thrust upon you the moment you picked up the novel?
  14. tfw no one loves your characters. And to be honest, it's difficult to pick favourites with a great cast like this, seriously. But really...I'd personally say Shiva's my favourite. For many reasons, but all of which make me wish I was in the RP earlier just so I could see her more or have my characters talk to her more. The same can be said for Helios and Henry, both awesome characters, the former being so developed and the latter being badass as hell while also having his intricacies and struggles, particularly with a dead Fey in his head. But really, I love all of ya.
  15. - Soren Monroe, the Penitent Traitor - Kilkis Campsite - Before Yevgeni and Soren could depart to resume their discussion, someone called out to them, a voice familiar to Soren and yet, something was off...about Maxis, Shiva's most faithful servant, the original Living Armour. Maxis addressed them both by name, but when he uttered Sorens, a chill was sent down his spine and he had to resist the urge to shiver...out of all the people in Kilkis Seres, Maxis was surely the one who felt his betrayal the hardest and deepest, particularly after Shiva's murder. "If you must know, Maxis...me and Yevgeni were planning on having a little chat over some dinner. He offered, I accepted." Soren swallowed his dread and responded to Maxis's question, cupcake and water still in hand, but he tried to be curt and calm with him, despite feeling something was definitely wrong with Maxis. "Did, you need him for something in particular? Or is it a personal matter? I'll step aside if you want." He added, hoping to avoid a confrontation. - Meksis, the Chaperone, Armour of Light - Ivany's Tent - Meksis nodded in reply to Ivany's words, releasing her shoulders to allow her to proceed to her potions. "I will do all I can, Ivany...I promise. Farewell." With that, Meksis swiftly departed Ivany's Tent, his fists clenched and the air around him feeling less stifled. He knew it was only a matter of time before Maxis totally lost control and went on a rampage across the land, bringing chaos and terror to an already distressed Overworld and its people so Meksis had to act quickly. Yet, he had no idea where Maxis was, so he just ran out toward the Campsite, stopping between Ivany's Tent and it before simply yelling: "Maxis! Where are you!?" But the reply he received was concerning, as a voice in the back of his mind answered... "And what if you do find him, Meksis? Will you free him of his torment, one way of another...?" "You...I will save him, not kill him, fiend." "You might not have a choice, brother." "You are not my brother! Not by blood or anything else!" "But you and I, we are much the same, you see. Our dedication, our perseverance? Our honour?" "You have no honour! We are nothing alike, you are but a shadow of me..." "I'm not some glorified parasite, you know...do not deny who I am. Who we are, Meksis." "WE ARE NOT THE SAME!" "No...we are different. But make no mistake..." Suddenly, a violet-tinged shadow realm formed around Meksis, overlapping reality as a murky figure approached him from said shadows, its form becoming clearer and clearer as it approached, freezing Meksis with shock as it finally spoke. "We are Meksis now. And only together, can this madness be put to an end." A wraith-form of Meksis the Defiled stood before Meksis the Chaperone, the same as him, yet with the same dark energies pouring from the armour along with it being a ghost-like, translucent purple as it was not a physical body. Only Meksis and those with True Sight could see the wraith, but regardless, it only shook Meksis as he realized just how powerful his Dark Side had become. "I will help you, but we must work together on this, truly...you cannot deny that this was meant to be. The union of Light and Dark, no?" "I...I cannot..." The Wraith placed a hand upon his shoulder, leaning to the side as he spoke softly. "Yes we can. You may not like me, but our powers combined may be enough to stop that devil, an armour housing the energies of a Chaos God. We can settle our little property dispute afterwards, whether you go the route of Union of Light and Dark or simply purging me is up to you...but right now, everything is in danger as long as he roams the Overworld." "Hmm...reasonable...too reasonable. You're trying to emulate me as to appeal to my compassion...it's working, but not for you." Meksis looked his mirror self dead in the eyes before resuming. "I do this for Maxis. And the Overworld...but I will stand with you. For now. Any wrong step or action and this is over...Meksis." The dark Wraith seemed to smile, as he faded away back into Meksis's mind, their energies seeming to calm down as Meksis mentally dispelled the protective spell he had put upon himself to allow them both to flow freely around his body. A deep breath later and Meksis was marching toward the Kilkis Campsite, hoping to find Maxis sooner rather than later. "Understood...Meksis."
  16. Considering whom the previous occupant of Nergal's body was, I say the bright colour palette makes sense. On the plus side, Nergal can easily create a new one, as he has done now along with a new hood in order to remain hidden. And it's as gold as the last one. I'm just wondering what to do now in the RP...
  17. Nergal was certainly wearing his ostentatious clothing of white fabric and golden trim, but his mask was absent, as it was still broken from his participation in the Battle Between Worlds (Or whatever it is we're calling that. ) So worry not, you're spot on with the details. Up to and including Nergal's skin tone.
  18. Ooh! Congratulations to the two of you! Any delay as a result of childbirth and care is perfectly understandable, take as long as you need. I, also had no idea you and Mystics were together, I've either missed something or that's a surprise too. Though that suddenly makes Shiva and Raiden's relationship fitting...hmm. But enough of my rambling, best of wishes to you two and the newest addition to your family. I wonder how he'll take this news?
  19. Meksis: *Arms folded* ...is this normal in this generation? It wasn't five thousand years ago...
  20. Shaking a flaming hand? Soren: I'd advise against that...and my hands are more flaming than that. .-.
  21. People here are more interested in Roleplays, Random Posts and discussion about stuff. This sort of thing here doesn't see that much attention, to be honest. Hell, the Forum Lounge was dead for a while and Forum Games seems...quiet.
  22. - Meksis, the Divided - Ivany's Tent, Kilkis Encampment - While Meksis focused to keep the Defiled at bay, Ivany surprised him with an ancient tome, a book from the time of his Armour's creation written in an older, now unused language...where Ivany procured an item like this was a mystery, though Meksis had to assume that Maxis gave her it, but even then it was unusual. "I won't look a gift horse in the mouth...thank you, Ivany." Meksis spoke hoarsely, taking the book from her hands gently. The mere notion of Meksis handling this book produced a sneer from the Defiled at the back of his mind, who knew this book held at least some answers, potentially a solution. "The language is a much older form of Elvish...at least, the title and most of the magics are. But a few are in a tongue not uttered since the primeval days of the Overworld...every word of either language holds power in and of themselves." Meksis explained, though Ivany would find it hard to tell whether he was in reverence or terror at the book. "The, title translated says: "In Shaping Worlds and Nations, written by Those Before Us". Their idea of pretense, I'm sure." The Chaperone snarked a little, though it was only to abate his feelings toward the book. "With this book, you could bring light to darkness, purge corruptions...forge Rings of Power. And chiefly, create the Living Armours. Maxis was created in a time of desperation, so they missed a few words." Meksis said, dusting off the front of the tome as he did, pacing around just a little. Timidly, he finally opened the tome, gazing at words beyond Ivany's considerable understanding, it almost felt like a privilege, but he knew so many words here can be a blight, a curse or an omen of death. "This book can do great and terrible things indeed, I just need to find...here!" He flipped through the pages, landing his finger on a particular verse: One that would abate the Defiled, but not purge him. "Gwathren i na- min. In i fuin, na n- naud. Im am cín herdir, nifred nin magol. Im mír-, cin luithi-." Meksis spoke aloud the words of old, a presence of power could be felt in the air around him and Ivany as his voice echoed, a whisper akin to his own backing his spoken verse. The Defiled hissed at him inside, the Darkness lining his armour retreated below the plates, no longer visible with the weight on his shoulders lessened, yet present still. Finally, Meksis could sigh with relief. "I already know what must be said to Maxis...it's just a matter of dealing with him, I'm afraid." Meksis rose to a straighter stance, closing the book and storing it with his weapons in the other space. "Now listen to me, Ivany." He then said, taking her by the shoulders as insistence. "Keep yourself safe, secure this tent or find somewhere with firmer foundations. Maxis could come for you while I look for him and..." Meksis hesitated, a brief moment of fear took him, but not was not the time. "I cannot bear the thought of what he would do to you. Stay secret, stay safe. Don't let anyone in, do you understand?" He affirmed, but waited for Ivany to answer before his departure.
  23. Soren: *Shares in Mikhail's wish* Nergal: *Likely would just give him freedom, he'd prefer to do things himself* Meksis: *Would consider wishing for Maxis to be purified/cured, but prefers to do it himself. Then would wish for the ability to actually get drunk. Then freedom*
  24. - Soren Monroe, the Penitent Traitor - Kilkis Camp with Yevgeni Malachite - Though he didn't state it, Soren was pleased that Yevgeni didn't simply believe the hearsay from the troops or any passing common folk, preferring to hear it straight from the horses mouth so to speak. Try as he might however, he could not keep his cool when Yevgeni spoke of the coincidence of Soren's return and Shiva's death. "If you mean to insinuate that I had any part in Her Majesties death, Yevgeni, you would be gravely mistaken. I betrayed her, yes, but that was a rash decision!" Soren exclaimed, but it was more out of grief and shock than anything else, nothing in his words indicated any malice toward Yevgeni, as he did not shout. "I...do not have it in me to end the life of someone I was once so...and still loyal to, noble regent." He then took a deep breath before continuing, attempting to quell his burgeoning sadness. "And if you ask me...I don't believe Lord Raiden does, either." Soren said, believing that mentioning his ability to vouch for Raiden personally might be damning to them both. "I came back to Shiva because my loyalty to her overruled any petty ambition I might've had a few months ago. Even in death, I am her servant." Soren then declared sincerely, feeling himself relax a little. Though he did catch Yevgeni's averted gaze after Soren's sympathy was extended. After Soren had taken out his cupcake, Yevgeni politely offered him a drink, as well as a visit to the supply tent for a more full meal, as well as a continuation of their discussion. "A drink and dinner? You're very kind." He spoke, then he unwrapped his cupcake to take a bite, then swiftly washing it down with the provided drink. "Hmm...all right then. I accept. And you're correct, we've much to discuss, might as well do it over a fine meal, my liege." Soren then stood up, but waited for Yevgeni to take the lead, inside he had hoped his usage of the appropriate honorific would be pleasing to Yevgeni, as well as hoping the elf could fill the role of Ruler well, though only time would tell.
