  1. Toned down Curse of Weakness and Curse of Tongues. Weakness is now just a weakening of enemy powers, while Tongues is a Silence Spell. I figured the main problem with Weakness is just how powerful it could be if he kept hitting his foes. I don't want to cause severe issues, so I got on that literally when I read your post. lol
  2. I see. Well, what do you have in mind in terms of nerfs? Perhaps removing his control over Heartless, or toning down his curses? He was a little stronger than this before, but I nerfed him several times prior to posting. If Zugor simply can't be used, I'll instead just make another protagonist that I have in mind. Though I would like to say right now that even with his curses and such, I would take care not to dominate the plot. I promise that.
  3. Character Sheet II Name: Zugor, the Warlock. Formerly; Seymour Arandur Age: 32 Gender: Male Appearance: Keyblade: Bloody Ultima, a twisted copy of the Ultima Weapon of legend. A cursed Keyblade befitting of its master. Other Weapon: Cursed Throwing Spears (Pictured in Appearance) and a Cursed Sword called Morgul. (Zugor prefers his Keyblade, reasons explained in Bio.) Powers and Abilities: Cursed Powers of the Abyss, Heartless/Dark Creature Affinity and Trickster. Cursed Powers of the Abyss: Zugor's time in the purest form of Darkness that swallowed his world has altered him significantly and granted him power and strength via his exposure to the energies. Amongst his physical and mental alterations, Zugor gained the power to Curse his enemies. All of his weapons are permanently infused with a Curse Ailment and are enshrouded in a mild aura of shadow, with red speckles floating and fading around the mists and upon striking an enemy, afflict them with a oppressive, weakening curse: The Curse of Weakness, left by his weapon strikes, can be remedied by avoiding his strikes for a short period of time, but while affected some of their powers are weakened. Naturally, Zugor can control the Darkness and utilize it in a more traditional fashion such as Dark Firaga and Dark Impulse (Think Re:CoM Duel Sleights). Traversal through worlds via Dark Corridors is child's play for Zugor. The Warlock can also use Curse of Tongues, which silences the victim for 10 seconds, preventing magics from being used. When Zugor's body glows orange from the inside, then one might consider retreating, as he is preparing to use Brand. This power has Zugor subduing a victim and if successful, allows him to grab onto their head and drain the Light from his enemy, while also burning a Handprint onto their face. The burn is temporary, but the loss of Light can sting more than such a simple wound, as drained Light feeds his hungry soul of shadows. Branding is difficult for Zugor to pull off on a strong, aware opponent, so he prefers to weaken them, curse them or dizzy them with his trickster fighting style. Heartless/Dark Creature Affinity: Being a strong man and one with the Darkness, the Heartless are quick to obey Zugor and he can summon them at will. Trickster: Zugor's fighting style and methodology. Prone to dodging, using Smoke Bombs and rapid teleports in conjunction with the former, the Warlock prefers to keep his enemies guessing and knows when to retreat from combat. Personality: Cunning, conniving, deceitful, ambitious, power-hungry, intelligent and demeaning, Zugor is every bit as malicious as one would imagine a Weaver of Curses to be, or even just a Warrior of Darkness. Since his incident with the Abyss long ago, Zugor has embraced this new state of self and all that it comes with, relishing in the failure of those of the Light, their losses, their pain and his own glory. He possesses a tendency to be dramatic and enthusiastic in his work, but this passion only enhances his drive and presence in the field. While he may appear cowardly and opportunistic, Zugor is really a rather clever man, knowing precisely when to strike and when to fold his cards, usually planting the seeds of doubt within his foes and using any loyal to his cause to perform risky tasks that he chooses not to get involved in, but only if they further his plans. This Warlock is more than capable of sacrificing many lives to get what he wants: Immortality and absolute power. Bio: The artist formerly known as Seymour Arandur was, well, precisely as described: An Artist and an expressive one at that. Seymour was a rather secluded man, yet he was quick to express himself in familial meetings despite not being all that close to them, though his simple life was thrown through a loop when Seymour submitted his Art to an interested Buyer, who promised him recognition and much munny. He arrived only to discover he had been smeared by a rival artist and was rejected by his buyer, who practically spat in his face after hearing the lies he was fed. Ashamed and believing himself to have failed, Seymour worked harder than ever before, totally isolated from society and his family, who began to worry for their estranged kin and despite Xavier's actions causing his worlds Keyhole to be unlocked and unleashing a tide of Darkness across the world, Seymour remained in his room, having nearly lost himself to despair, fearing he would never achieve the glory he sought for so long. In the Darkness however, something changed within Seymour. The shadows fed into his Hearts desires and infected him whole, yet he did not give in to his primal instincts or urges, his will was too strong, so he did not transform into a Heartless, but was instead reborn as a Cursed Man, transformed from a young man of fair looks and artistic expression into a rapidly aged, stronger and malevolent creature hellbent on achieving a new ambition, under a new name: Zugor. From his ashes, he rose from the pit of darkness and evil as a Warlock and began his ambitious plan: Taking after Xavier and achieving his newest and greatest ambitions to make his name known to all of existence and acquire the blessing of Immortality and Power Overwhelming. His power however was rather inhibiting as he got used to this new existence. His Keyblade was unable to be summoned, much to his frustration having forged it himself in the image of the legendary Ultima Weapon, though he did find and cursed a new blade that he used for much time. It was only when he drained the Light of a Keyblade Wielder that his Keyblade returned as the Bloody Ultima, reforged in the Darkness anew, just as he was. Zugor could only smile in a twisted delight at his new blade, a reflection of himself, as he took it up as his guiding key toward his destiny. WDW (Zugor good then? Or is it back to the drawing board? lol)
  4. - Talion Glandur, "The Sunbreaker" - Traverse Town - The crack of a firearm amidst all the distant chaos signified to Talion that the situation in the 1st District had escalated beyond a mere altercation into a skirmish. The presence of Darkness in the air was troubling as it was. His approach hastened and his steps became heavier as he rounded a corner of a small house and froze in place, a little taken aback by the sight. So many had gathered and become mixed up in this conflict, many Keyblade Wielders, their weapons simply lures to the mindless beasts. Might as well be hanging meat on a bit of string and coaxing them over, before attempting to beat them to death with it, though Keyblades were at least more effective at this job. "Oh, enough of these thoughts." Talion spoke internally before he summoned his Hammer, Ouros and activated his Solar Flames, before hurling said Hammer toward a small group of Heartless that prepared to pounce before their meaningless lives were ended in but an instant explosion of flame. When he had made certain that the people in battle had taken notice of this act and looked to him, Talion began walking towards the scene of combat and summoned another Ouros in spectacular fashion in the grasp of his raised hand and arm. "These Heartless certainly have a sense of timing, it has to be said! Wait for a gathering of Keyblade Wielders and feast upon their hearts! But they will claim none of us here today! I am The Sunbreaker! And I am here to help. And know that as long as I draw breath, all that is Darkness shall burn!" Talion declared with not a break in his stride, lowering his hammer part of the way through his declaration and pointing it to the Heartless before preparing for battle and any responses he received, though he kept an eye around the group, making sure no other Heartless were preparing an ambush.
  5. I appreciate it, at least we can do something to rerail my little trainwreck. ^^;
  6. Sorry, Mystics. I remembered it as Shiva declaring her intentions to end this war sooner rather than later via negotiations. Soren was around during the end of that battle and I figured he knew that this was to occur. I just was chatting with a fellow RPer, mainly due to concerns as to what I was to do with Soren and thought I'd hit a good idea when I did this...evidently I didn't think it through. But if I am honest, I've no idea what to do with him if not this.
  7. Quick question Thundaga... Can I create a villainous character? One who wishes to take advantage of the darkness and the turmoil? I've been lacking in evil stimulus (Aside from Nergal in Overworld. lol) for a while.
  8. I do think he's also making an error by not conceding and claiming that God is in control. You can be religious all you want, that's perfectly all right, but it's not the right thing to say in that instance.
  9. - Meksis, The Chaperone, Armour of Light - With Shiva - Meksis could only admire how steadfast Shiva remained in the face of this war and how adamant she was in resolving this war peacefully. If what she said about Lord Raiden was true, then it should be over within a heartbeat with only one battle and minimal bloodshed...but one shouldn't be too optimistic, especially in the midst of such turmoil. "Of course, my queen. I will not stop you. My concern is both my nature and my own to give. I have high hopes that you will see us through to the end...though, I cannot claim to not be a little afraid of what may happen." Meksis admitted, then he chuckled a little to himself. "And believe me when I say I don't say that often. Being afraid is something I simply cannot be, my duty is to alleviate the fears of others and guide them to their future...I am the Chaperone for a reason." He spoke with a tinge of pride, yet arrogance was not even a glimmer in his mind. "I just find that...I can be open around you. Ahh, forgive me if that is out of line, your majesty. I don't know if my brother in armour is open with you like this, or more." Meksis spoke honestly with the Queen, though he had a moment of incredulity at how he was being with her and as such, amusement at himself, his gestures small and rapid as he backpedaled and laughed it off before straightening himself quickly as Shiva stated her thoughts and regards to Soren Monroe. "I understand. My only concern really was that, if anything, Soren needs meaning in his life again. It is his own fault, but the power does indeed rest within him...I can only hope he can see this through and prove himself worthy. Thank you nonetheless, my queen. I swear on my life that I will ensure he is trustworthy." Meksis professed to Shiva, then declared his swearing to uphold his duty to the Demon Scorned. Before Shiva left, Meksis reached out a little with his left hand and called out. "One more thing, before you depart." And so he stepped forward and spoke again. "Good luck, Shiva. We're all counting on you...and I believe in you." Meksis concluded softly, his hands now behind his back in his straightened pose. - Nergal, Remnant of Meksis - Healer's Tent with Yevgeni - Nergal could see the myriad of feelings stirring within Yevgeni, his heart leaping as, after professing his own feelings on the matter, making reference to the prior monarch, Yevgeni questioned how he could trust him. The concerns were quite valid, Nergal was still naught but a stranger to the ambitious man, but he felt he knew exactly what Yevgeni needed. "I will not force the issue, Yevgeni. But I can assure you, your life couldn't be safer in my hands. Neither could your vision. The world deserves a change and you and I together? We can achieve this with ease...we just need to kickstart this motion in whatever fashion is necessary, do we not? If we join together, I can grant you this motion." Nergal then lowed his voice to a softer whisper, beckoning Yevgeni closer. "If you need Queen Shiva to co-operate...or dare I say, out of the way, I can grant you this. Just say the word and I will prove myself to you and grant you the unthinkable." Nergal promised to the Elf, smiling softly, yet sincerely. - Soren Monroe, the Regretful Traitor - Kilkis Campgrounds - It did not take much wandering for Soren to become unsettled. As he paced the grounds after Meksis's rather spectacular departure, his thoughts raced. Shiva had departed the campgrounds, for what purpose? A simple walk? Clear her mind? ...meet with Raiden? Soren remembered what she had declared on the battlefield as the fighting ended and began to worry. Would Lord Raiden really be so willing to give it up? Soren knew he could not be trusted, he was a traitor...so how can one trust the leader of an army of traitors? He had to do something...but what? "I cannot sit on my hands and watch the world pass me by...if Shiva is to trust me again, I need to act now, something must be done, I--...I must follow her, but I have to hurry." Soren's thoughts concluded as he swiftly departed from the Campgrounds, into the shroud of night he disappeared, as he followed the sound of distinct chatter and kept a considerable distance, sticking to the shadows and enveloping himself within them. Soren's affinity for Darkness would keep him sight unseen and sound unheard...he was scared. Scared of what could happen if Raiden proved to be more dangerous than Soren ever could be.
  10. Character Sheet I Name: Talion Glandur, "The Sunbreaker" Age: 27 Gender: Male Appearance: Keyblade: N/A Other Weapon: The Iron Battleaxe; Felwinter The Hammer of Solar Flame: Ouros Powers and Abilities: Fury of the Solar Flame and Combat Master. Fury of the Solar Flame: Since he was 15, Talion has been able to harness the power of the Solar Flame, but only learned to utilize it in all its fury at 18. By default, this power allows him to shroud the blade and pommel of his Iron Battleaxe in tongues of yellow flame, increasing its attack power allowing him to use powerful special moves by consuming said flame from the axe. For instance, Pommel Smash has Talion smash the axe, pommel first, into the ground which consumes some of his flame and creates a flaming geyser upon impact and send a trail of flame toward his enemy that explodes on contact with them or after a short distance, which also produces upward knockback. Sunborne Rage has him intensify the flames upon the Axe and swing for a maximum of 5 times with even more increased damage and explosions upon impact with an enemy, acting as Heavy Attacks of a sort. If the flames on his Battleaxe are depleted, he cannot use either or any other kind of attack that requires them and must Rekindle, requiring him to channel more power back into his Axe until the flames are restored. He can also absorb Flames from other sources, such as a Pyre or Bonfire to feed Felwinter. He is otherwise able to use Solar Fireballs, Flamethrowing and explosions from the ground. One of his more powerful abilities, "Hammer of Sol" has him sheath his Battleaxe and, with the clang of an anvil sounding in the air, summon his Hammer of the Solar Flame: Ouros in a brilliant display of fire and power. While he has Ouros out, Talion is wreathed in an orange Solar Flame Aura and can attack faster, use Suncharge, where he dashes almost faster than the eye can see a short distance while swinging the hammer upward as a quick bit of burst damage, leave Sunspots, which when he stands within their small radius fuel his Flames and are left only when he throws his hammer, slams the ground with it or if he lands from his leaps. The Hammer, Ouros, can be thrown and explodes with a Searing Solar Flame, but Talion can always summon more Hammers to throw or attack with. Sunspots allow more Hammers to be thrown, but eventually the flames die down and he reverts to normal, back to using his Battleaxe, but during this form he is a powerful force of speed and agility, able to leap considerable distances to keep his foes off balance. Combat Master: Years of Combat Training, and combat in general, have honed Talion's skills to a considerable degree. To make full use of his skill however, he must activate Combat Mastery, where he is locked out of using his Battleaxe or Hammer and is instead left with a simple sword, forged from Solar Flames himself, but still a humble blade nonetheless. During this, he is a truly difficult opponent to face, as his reaction time and senses are heightened and he is able to Parry, Counter and Evade with the utmost ease and finesse. He has no access to any of his powers during this, though sometimes his blade burns with Solar Flame when he perfectly Parries or Counters, almost like a visual indicator of his success, though this is deception, as it actually allows him to swing just a bit faster and harder, only a little, but it matters in the long run. When Talion wishes to test, or be tested, then out comes the sword. Personality: Tempered, compassionate, vengeful, scarred, thoughtful and in possession of a dry sense of humour, Talion endured the consumption of his world after Xavier's ambition, yet has only come out of the experience stronger. Under his helmet, well, no one knows, he never takes it off, go figure, but metaphorically speaking, he is a caring and wise man with more experience under his belt than most his age. Often the first man to give advice in a tough situation, Talion has an aura of charisma and calm about him, capable of remaining collected under stress and rallying his friends and teammates when their lives depend on it, while also being a shoulder for them to cry on should they need it. Small talk, is not a strong suit however. Bio: Once a young boy wishing to serve alongside the heroes of the worlds, his world being consumed by the Darkness released from the Keyhole changed the course of his life, though in some ways for the better. The loss of his family and friends still sting as if the wounds were fresh upon his heart, but it was his bright Solar Flames born from his brilliant Light and desire to claim revenge that allowed him to crawl from the abyss back into the world, the experience reforging him and his outlook on life. Having seen Darkness at its deepest and worst, he vowed to spare as many as he could from that fate, aspiring to be a beacon that would lead all to a brighter future...one brighter than that of his screaming, suffocated world as it was dragged to the abyss, maybe never to be seen again. WDW. (I, hope he's not too strong. And I might make another character, maybe a cute girl for traditions sake. lol)
  11. Javelin! Welcome back! Something definitely felt off with the site and (Aside from Transcendent Key. ) I figured it was you not being around. Good to see our resident Kairi Fanatic has returned.
  12. You can stop worrying about grenades now.
  13. The Overworld simply cannot handle that. lol In before Henry simply glory kills people anyway.
  14. And a whole lot of death and des--wait, wait! ....Argent Energy-Infused Henry.
  15. You know, I never thought Sauron could be contained in such a little thing. Next you'll be telling me Shiva can be sealed in an envelope. Actually, this image gave me a random but cool idea: Argent Energy-Infused Maxis.
  16. The Dark Lord demands a sitrep! --------------------- Seriously though, making sure all are alive and well. Hi there.
  17. Sweet suffering succotash, you live, Yuffie?! A welcome back to you, I gotta say. Pls stay. ;-;
  18. - Asher Zahn, Duality Incarnate - Destiny Islands, Outer Islands - Not too far from the altercation between Royal Patrolmen and the mystery youth, Tyler, Asher Zahn was meditating in what was once a tranquil and wonderful part of the Destiny Islands, where there was little in the way of wildlife, considerable foliage and never a disruption. Asher was centering himself and his spirits, their energies surrounding him in a soft, cyclonic motion. These sessions of his were enough to bring him a semblance of inner peace, but now he was being rudely interrupted, though he thought it peculiar. Never do the Patrols venture to these outer islands, never mind in the pursuit of strangers...whomever this was they were calling out to, he must have done something to annoy them. "You know we cannot let this go unchecked...those Patrolmen won't grant the mercy they so promise." In Asher's mind, the voice of Nithron, the Light Half of his Split Soul, compelled him to act in the favour of the Patrolmen's target. Sighing deeply, wondering if it was really so difficult to get a moments peace in this world, Asher rose to his feet and walked toward the commotion. The sight of "The Hegemony's Finest" was already enough to sicken him, so once he was in view, Asher called out: "You speak with such threats, yet you promise mercy?!" Catching their attention, Asher continued his fierce stride towards the guards, slowly unsheathing Urfael, his sword and twirling it in his hand as the energies of Nithron coursed through the enchanted steel. "I demand that you tell me the nature of the one you are chasing, then call off your pursuit! These islands are a place of solitude, peace and nature, not a shooting gallery for the wrongfully accused!!" Asher continued his advance until he was close to the guards, not close enough for a swordfight, but close enough that they could see his face.
  19. - Meksis, Armour of Light, The Chaperone - Camp Outskirts with Shiva - Quickly shaking off his exhaustion to recompose himself, Meksis reciprocated Shiva's sign of respect with a bow of his own as he listened to her answer, though it did not bring him any respite knowing she was to meet with Lord Raiden, their most recent enemy in war. "Your highness, begging your pardon but...you are certain it is wise to meet with Raiden alone? He started all of this madness with the severance of all contact a long time ago now. Maxis mentioned this to me when I awoke...my point of concern is that he might try something. I won't stop you, far from it, I'm just...suggesting caution, despite your connection with my brother in armour." Meksis confided, then recalled why he had wanted to see her in the first place, soon enough he straightened up and spoke again. "If I also may, just one more thing...it's about Soren Monroe." Meksis then sighed, knowing this would be difficult. "I, believe you can trust the man. I took him to the Campgrounds myself and talked with him for a long time, extensively so..." The armour stepped forward, gesturing as he continued. "He is being destroyed by his guilt over his betrayal and he is fully willing to pick a side now...and he has chosen the side of Kilkis Seres. I believe he would give his life for yours once again, everything he spoke of was truthful and from his heart." Meksis looked back to the Camp, wondering quietly how the Demon was fairing, slowly facing Shiva as he concluded. "I understand you will find it difficult, I would in your position...but if it weren't for me, I believe Soren would've killed himself soon. He never said it outright to me, but when I told him what he had to do, he uttered something to me, a third option. You should've heard the dread and misery in his voice." Meksis cleared his throat, such talking left him with the sensation of being parched. If only he could drink. "I suppose you could say that, I'm just wondering if there's anything, anything at all you can do for him? Just to give him this chance? He truly wishes to make amends, my lady." The Chaperone's "heart" ached, contending with both Soren's guilt and Shiva's departure into an unforeseeable danger, potentially putting her life on the line. - Nergal, Remnant of Meksis - Healer's Tent with Yevgeni - Nergal could only listen to Yevgeni as he explained himself and his thoughts in great detail. It was perfect, Yevgeni's plans for the worlds lined up exactly with what he wanted and now he knew something could grant him the greatness he sought: The Source of All Life...the name indicative of its purpose and yet, it most likely housed a gargantuan pool of energies in order to fulfill its purpose, whatever that might be, yet he could not be certain, but if this Yevgeni was privy to its existence, he could easily lead him to it in due time, if they only had a little privacy, where again, their ideals aligned. "Then you and I share more than either of us thought up until now, Yevgeni. I never thought of you as a mere puppet, if I did, I would not think as highly of you as I od now. Forgive me for the pretense, but perhaps this was destined?" Nergal suggested, though he knew while they aligned in many ways, Nergal had his own ideas alongside. Regardless, he could only give a genuine smile as he continued his whisper with a hidden pride. "My name is Nergal. And I believe that together, we could achieve your goals with ease. Allow me to help you, Yevgeni, and I will see to it that your vision for this world comes to pass. In exchange, you will take me to the Source of All Life...I believe I could gain much from the Source, perhaps an elevated existence, power, knowledge, I can only wonder. If you help me like I will help you, I can promise a share in its potential." Nergal's own energies swelled within his body as he could feel his wounds complete their healing, thanks to his Healer and Saviour, paying a small glance to her as to ensure she doesn't hear too much. "As a matter of fact, to prove my usefulness, and loyalty...I can aid you in...shall we say, providing the scenario in which Queen Shiva is not around to get in your way. What do you say?" Nergal proposed, his internal bloodlust welling in his heart. (I've nothing for Soren to do currently, so only Meksis and Nergal for now. Sorry!)
  20. Pretty certain it's a placeholder like any other, though Q4 looks likely to be the release window for KH3. Or Target has some kind of insider knowledge, so I'll keep my tinfoil hat on standby.
  21. Aww, mate! I'm sorry to hear that. I wish I could do more, but I will assure you now: This RP is not dying. Mark my words. You'll find a job in due time as well, count on that.
  22. Ye of little faith, Thundaga. This RP's not dying, not if I have anything to say about it.
  23. Glad to hear you're safe, mate! I have the highest hopes for Puerto Rico and it's rebuilding after such a catastrophic storm. Hey, give him a break, Hurricane Maria was no joke.
  24. Here's hoping Mr. Takei isn't truly among the deplorable, despicable twats of Hollywood...I'd like to believe at least one person is still good in this world.
