  1. And Soren's old Frost Crystal, engraved with her name along with his old role, Shiva being in old elvish I believe. Yev'll fly into a blind rage. lol ------------------ On the topic of bloopers... Soren flubbing his superhero landing during his introduction, by slipping off the rockface and landing facefirst embarrassingly. ...and perhaps screwing up his chastising of Yevgeni by squeezing the sandwich too much. In Yev's direction. Meat on his face.
  2. - Nergal, the Queenslayer/Disguised as 'The Messenger' - Royal Palace, Kilkis Seres - The idle Nergal stood firm as his adopted persona would, while he listened intently to the discussion between the Dreadnaught of Sondon and the Regent of Kilkis Seres. Points were made, reasons were given, yet Nergal couldn't help but feel...disappointed. Particularly with the man he was so vehemently loyal to ever since they first put their plan into place. Once more, Yevgeni found himself negotiating with a potential ally and once more, it wasn't going well. That Soren fellow Nergal had heard of didn't sound like a model for restraint when such trying times were upon him, but despite Henry being much calmer, his words still stung like a snake's bite as he refuted many of Yevgeni's arguments and points. Like he was being attacked as well, regardless of his perceived identity, Nergal's heart ached at the Regent's faltering, but he also felt anger at both he and the strange amount of forgiveness and so-called understanding from Henry Hansees. A hybrid who had just lost his whole world, was being forgiving toward the culprit? "Henry, either you have a grand heart of gold, or you're a naive fool." 'The Messenger' finally spoke up, picking up his sheathed sword from the vertical stance under his hands it was a part of as he moved toward the two of them slowly. "In a way, we're all new to this. Neophytes to the end of the world. And yet, I feel nothing about this is...appropriate, nor fitting." Nergal then gestured to the both of them as he paid Elia no heed whatsoever, for in his mind, she wasn't important to any of this, as she didn't speak up or anything. "The Dreadnought has lost his entire world and most of its people...while you, my Regent, cherry picked survivors and cannot even justify why without someone, somewhere, calling you out on it. This Human knows that the drain on our world was but a temporary ailment as a result of a long forgotten link being brought back up to the surface of relevance." He went on, shaking his head at Yevgeni lightly, then seeming dumbfounded whenever he paid a gaze to Henry at all, his advance slowing to a halt before the two of them, rubbing the forehead of his mask in exasperation, though whether it was his adopted persona or Nergal himself expressing it was anyone's guess. "Yet despite such loss, Henry is placating you and speaking words of forgiveness nigh constantly, claiming to understand you, Yevgeni. Either call out my friend here for a mistake or don't, Henry. You cannot pretend to understand that which is completely beyond you. You are not a Ruler. You're not a Prince, a King or a Regent, therefore you don't know what it means to make such decisions, let alone being able to justify them as good, morally sound actions by anyone." Nergal spoke calmly, yet scathingly to both Yevgeni and Henry, pointing and lightly gesturing insistently intermittently between them. In spite of his many feelings on the matter, Nergal's 'Messenger' Persona was completely intact, his altered voice expressing his views as perfectly as possible, but the once hollow man yearned to be himself again, sooner rather than later. Soon, Nergal was looking primarily at Henry, stepping a little closer, but keeping his personal space unsullied. "Why don't you care? Why aren't you more angry about this, Henry? Why aren't...either of you, feeling more strongly about any of this?" Once Nergal had gotten closer, his keen senses felt something else about Henry...he was a man of two minds, two bodies...the presence of a Fey was about him, not just in his drastically altered blood and appearance, but his very mind and soul. He spoke his declaration of realizing this truth while pointing lightly toward Henry's heart. "Is she still with you, I wonder? Or is it merely the echos of Ariana, reverberating in your troubled mind?" Nergal didn't mean to taunt, rather he questioned sincerely, wondering if his gut about Henry's duality was correct as he turned back to Yevgeni. "He is a man of two worlds, my Regent. Perhaps that is why he understands that you speak lies, the false truths that drip from your mouth like a basilisks venom." Nergal suddenly let out an uncharacteristic laugh, at least for his facade not himself, as he soon realized something...something he could say in this room without care, as he turned back to Henry and leaned closer to him, gesturing to reassure him if he got defensive, whispering in his ear. "I realize my own hypocrisy on this matter..." It was then that his next words dropped the disguise entirely, for Nergal now spoke in his unnatural, yet composed voice to the Dreadnaught. "So let me be honest with you...I, am the Queenslayer. My name is Nergal. And I'm sure you may remember me from our last encounter, perhaps? You fought very well." Nergal breathed an internal sigh of relief, stepping away from Henry to remove his Messenger Mask, revealing a furthering of his truth as his ashen skin was made visible, smiling softly as he tossed the mask away, quickly looking to Yevgeni and gesturing to encourage calm from his Regent, before his eyes looked upon Henry once more. "It is good to see you again. I, must apologize for my dear friend Yevgeni here, for he clearly needs to work on his...negotiating abilities. Though, I'm something of an amateur myself...my assassination skills are sub-par, at best." Nergal allowed himself a chuckle at his own expense, but now his interest in Henry took center stage as it had peaked...maybe now was the time he offered him the choice. "So...tell me. Tell me why, Henry, why you feel and act so differently to what I expected?" (DONE. : D)
  3. Okay, sleep-based delay coming, perhaps a post by then so I don't double, but regardless, I'll finally get to Nergal sooner rather than later.
  4. - Soren Monroe, Will of Shiva - Mystras, Raiden's Villa/Study - The arrival of Arthur and subsequent responses by both he and Helios were received well by Soren, who listened gladly. though his interest was perked by the latter's observation regarding the Source, dubbing it as nothing more than a weapon, one that merely awaited a wielder, no matter their creed. "The Source is a bountiful source of energy, near limitless, hell perhaps it is, but a weapon?" Soren began, then crinkled his lips in thought for a moment before resuming. "Indeed it is. But how the Source is used and purposed entirely depends on who claims it. If any of us took the Source's power, then we'd simply use it to restore all that was lost as a result of Yevgeni's actions." Then he became a little melancholy, if only because Soren briefly imagined what would happen if Yevgeni did actually get his hands on the Source of All Life. "But if Yevgeni claimed it, or anyone else so inclined towards darkness, greed or other such nefarious desires, they would become a tyrannical, dangerous god-like being who would most certainly use their newfound powers as a weapon against any who opposed them...worse, they would just simply, destroy everything that ever existed." Soren spoke clearly, but he smiled lightly when he put a hand upon Helios's shoulder. "That's why we're going to get there first, Helios." He then looked to Jynn and Arthur, his expression more confident and affirmed as he did. "Trust me." Arthur then had a reasonable question to ask, regarding whether humans were even allowed within the walls of Isopolis. "Of course, Arthur." Soren replied, not wishing to sound like he was making an obvious answer, rather just being clear. "The Worlds of Humanity and Fey were linked, passage between them was done as often and as simply as one could before the Great War. Isopolis remembers this, as do I. The Trials in turn will adapt to be more...fair, as it were. But yes, you can join us if you wish." He explained, fondly remembering the once commonplace cooperation between the races, before it all went so wrong. - Meksis, the United, Armour of Twilight - Palace Gates, Battle of Two Brothers - The mind attack was successful...in fact, it had worked too well, for Maxis's full might was being unleashed in a horrifying display, right before the collective eyes of Meksis's minds. The entire landscape shifted into a familiar plane, the courtyard of their laboratory from so long ago, the beautiful white flowers and melancholic, yet inspiring tree, its leaves falling yet seemingly never depleting. Maxis's form too was changing, but more slowly and dramatically than their landscape, as his brother wrenched himself free of the Chaperone's grasp, finally and fully transforming into something else...that was familiar. Maxis had returned to his true form, from before he even thought to take in the essence of the Mad God that now dwells within his mind. Yet Meksis still felt the taint of the deity's blight upon his blood brother, so even as Maxis spoke, Meksis began to gather all of his power over Light and now Darkness and began his own transformation. "I think you've misunderstood me, brother...I will not kill you." With this, Meksis brought his arms across his body, the left side aglow with Light, while the right side was engulfed with Darkness, before they mixed together all around and into Meksis before he activated 'Solidarity of the United', now with two wings upon his back; One of Light, which was still white with gold feathers, and one of Darkness, still black and adorned with violet feathers. At first, Meksis held two powerful Greatswords in each hand, both of the same energies as his hands held respectively before, then he slammed them together, merging the blades into one Greatsword of Twilight, now gripped tightly in his right hand as a Greatshield formed in his left hand and arm, reinforced with the might of the Chaperone and the Defiled as his aura continually coalesced into a unity of the Shadows and the Sun. Even with Maxis reaching into his own throat to reclaim his signature weapon, Meksis addressed him further, musing over his newly formed weapon. "I will free you, Maxis. Your death is unnecessary, for the Mad God is the root of this disaster." Meksis said, then inspected the sharp edge of his blade, eyes narrowing upon the strange sheen. "Even if I must die today to ensure his freedom, Maxis will not die today! Instead, it'll be you, Mad God, who holds my brother's will hostage!" He declared loudly, pointing the blade at Maxis, but his intended target of such a threat was Maxis's plague upon his mind, the God of Madness. "Prepare to be exorcised!!" Meksis finished, swiping the blade to the side in preparation for the next assault from his deranged blood brother, which came sooner than one might expect, but Meksis was able to counter it in his elevated state of mind, deflecting the knife with a quick swipe. Meksis then blocked with his shield and the sword behind said barrier to reinforce the guard, against the punch Maxis delivered, yet he was still flung into the wall of Darkness behind him, which would then be indented with Meksis's vague silhouette as Maxis followed up with a dropkick to his blood brother, still guarded, but the sheer force brought pain to his entire body. The stored kinetic energy within the greatshield was then expelled, in an attempt to force Maxis back, allowing Meksis to counterattack viciously, with multiple, alternating sword slashes, broken up by a hilt strike to the gut and a shield bash to keep him off balance when Meksis summoned several floating swords, that after a second delay, flew at the Mad God's vessel to cause major damage if they impacted and exploded. (Sorry, another Nergal delay due to real life stuff, but I'll get that out today, I swear!)
  5. My post for all three of my characters is coming tomorrow (Later today technically, in my timezone.). And that be a promise, mateys. *PleaseBeExcitedMeme*
  6. The fact that people can actually say that now warms my heart.
  7. It is done! Nergal will have to wait a bit, but I'll get to him.
  8. - Soren Monroe, Will of Shiva - Mystras, Raiden's Villa/Study - Soren stood quietly for a while as others spoke and prepared, the ones who were entrusted with a wish-granting djinni had departed to the rooftops of Raiden's Villa and the time for their departure grew closer with every minute feeling as if it were its own hour. When Jynn spoke up however, he was quick to snap out of his stupor and respond to him. "Just be ready for anything, your highness. Particularly a fight, for whether we arrive at the Source first or not, someone is bound to challenge us for its usage." Soren warned with a light, fitting gesture of the hand. "And if I may, I knew your level of displeasure firsthand when Yevgeni told me everything he had in mind." He then briefly considered his next words before going on. "At times I regret not fully snapping and killing him right there and then." Soren then sighed deeply, shaking his head slightly and looking to both Raiden and Jynn. "But then, what would that make me? Exactly as people believe Demons to be, I think. Murdering someone just from their words alone?" Soren did not brood, for his stance remained sharp as he prepared to reciprocate Lord Raiden's gesture, rolling his shoulders before speaking a little more positively. "No. Instead, it is now that he deserves the blade. None of us will get anywhere mulling over 'What if?'..." He then allowed himself a brief chuckle. "Not even with an all-powerful djinni at our disposal." He spoke, a little amused at the fact that they even had such a being with them, stepping forward as he did toward Raiden. "Isopolis's Guards may indeed listen to me, regardless of my status, I know them well, despite them not being permitted to venture deeper into the Shrine." Soren spoke calmly, though inside he knew of the possibility that a more nefarious individual seeking the endless power of the Source of All Life wouldn't care about a few measly Guardsmen. - Meksis, the United, Armour of Twilight - Palace Gates, Kilkis Seres - Maxis was indeed surprised by the usage of Darkness, but he soon gathered himself after the initial attack. the shield throw being deflected before his next onslaught began, with more vibrant and colourful auras throughout. When his brother began his next, vicious looking attack, Meksis was fooled by the ruse, summoning the Shadow Shield once more to defend himself, but the sheer force of Maxis's strike was enough to completely break his guard and leave him vulnerable, but the impact caused Darkness to pulse from the Shield, which would damage Maxis, despite his ongoing assault. Meksis attempted to recover, taking the first few hits of the breakdancing mania fully as he regained his balance, defending against most of the remaining blows with his Shield, but one more kick got him in the hip and didn't allow him to fully brace for Maxis's double legged kick, forcing him to be thrown a fair distance away, nearly tumbling over himself if he didn't anchor himself to the ground with a hard punch to the ground and gripping it to slow himself down and prepare to fight back. From there, he blocked the downward fist, tanked the uppercut and did all he could to deflect, minimise and ignore the following attacks, all but the spin kick, which surprised him. Maxis was about to strike with crushing force, but Meksis had an idea, spearheaded by the Defiled's own thinking, dodging out of the way, but leaving the Shield of Darkness on the impact zone, which when struck would give the force of the impact right back to Maxis, plus Darkness. "This battle will not be easily won physically, Meksis...we must now attack mentally." "I've just the thing..." Regardless of whether Maxis was stunned or not, Meksis would become very aggressive, grabbing him by the head and shoulder, attempting to force him into a hard faceplant to the ground, then to bring him up again into a knee to the spine, a punching turnaround to face him and would attempt to repel any counter-attacks as best he could, so he could find an opening. Meksis needed to end this soon, so when an opening was found, he would begin the first of many attacks upon Maxis's mind and by extension, the Mad God within: With a hand charged from the energies of both the Chaperone and the Defiled, he would grab the side of Maxis's head and link minds with him again, shouting in a booming, uncharacteristically commanding voice, more so than even before. "On your knees!" Meksis's mind link would subtly suggest to Maxis to do as asked, but regardless, Meksis would not relent and quickly planted the second hand upon his head and flooded Maxis's mind and the Mad God's connection with burning Light, Darkness and sheer power. "You will plague his mind no longer, foul God!!" Both Meksis's knew this would aggravate both Maxis and the Mad God, possibly removing any and all restraint Maxis had put in place to spare his blood brother too much pain, but the Chaperone knew what he had to do. Maxis would be saved...even if Meksis had to die to do it. (Nergal's reply is being postponed, but not for long.)
  9. Thanks for letting me know. You have my permission to relight it, because something came up and I need to delay my post by another day. I just wanted to drop in so I could tell you guys. Again, so sorry.
  10. Just so people don't prepare their pitchforks in order to linch me, I will be posting soon. Either today or tomorrow, but I've ideas in mind regarding all my characters, namely the continuation of the Living Armour fight and something to actually do with Soren and Nergal, though speaking of the latter... Was Yevgeni motioning for 'Mr. Messenger' to sod off earlier? I've actually something in mind for him in response to all he's hearing.
  11. He's evidently a Super Saiyan who's trained in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to become used to the ascended state too.
  12. Holy hell! Have fun, will ya?
  13. - Meksis, the United, Armour of Twilight - Kilkis Seres, Palace Gates, Battle of Two Brothers - The shield throw had failed, as had the Light-Charged Lance, its explosion damage minimal upon his blood brother. It was then that Meksis was completely and utterly astonished, as Maxis employed his more...interesting tactic and subsequent fighting style: Dance. Though briefly confused by the aura of lights from Maxis, Meksis was able to parry every blow from his summoned Bat, yet this wasn't even the beginning. What followed certainly was, as Maxis dismissed the bat suddenly and attacked Meksis with a barrage of punches, all lightning fast and delivering hard blows, Meksis needing to block as many as he could with his elbows. A counter-attack was impossible, for Maxis swept Meksis by the legs onto the ground. From there, it was pure punishment; Maxis performed an aggressive, breakdance-like assault upon the Chaperone, completing with a strong kick into the air that sent Meksis helplessly thudding and rolling a few times onto the ground while his blood brother posed and taunted. "You did forget that, didn't you?" "I'm going about this all wrong if I've forgotten how Maxis fights..." "Then go about it right. You're the professional here, Meksis. Focus!" "You don't need to tell me twice..." Meksis picked himself up from the dirt as his minds debated, picking up his fallen scimitar all the while, shaking himself off and swiping the blade downward next to him, a gesture of determination. "Forgive me, but I did, brother. In all the excitement, well...never mind that. Your joy brings me no comfort, Maxis, nor will I show mercy." Meksis explained, now ready to expect Maxis's shenanigans from here on, charging once more at lightning speed, feinting a right to left slash with his Scimitar, instead flipping the blade around for a down-right up slash toward Maxis's shoulder, then barraging with indiscriminate directional slashes, continuing to press his aggression upon Maxis just as he did with Ren in the War. Meksis then figured Maxis would do something crazy, so in the heat of the moment, he would unleash a surprise. "And by the way...you were wrong...dear brother" Meksis the Defiled's signature red eyes would flash and in a millisecond, he would summon a round shield in left hand, infused with Void-like Shadows and bash a hopefully surprised Maxis in the head with the side of the shield, shield-charge him away and hurl it like a more deadly discus to cause more damage. (Think Sentinel Shield from D2, but more Darkness. lol) - Nergal, the Queenslayer, disguised as Kilkis Messenger - Kilkis Seres, Royal Palace - The disguised Nergal held close to the guests, following Yevgeni with them in tow gladly, though Elia's whisper, while illegible, provoked a response from the stern 'Messenger'. "Hold your tongue, if you plan to plot behind our backs. You're guests, not anarchists I'd hope." Nergal's adopted persona spoke, not raising his voice but clearly telling them off as if they were children deserving of scorn. However, when he paid a glance to Henry, he would seem more intrigued than anything else, his mask obscuring the pleased expression he bore. "Please save your words for your discussion with the Regent. Thank you." 'The Messenger' continued, adjusting his cloak ever so slightly, just so his free hand had something to do. (I've nothing for Soren to say right now in my head, but I'll get to him later.)
  14. Fey's were too busy with Wars and marveling at their own magnificence to give a damn about advancing tech. And killing off the Cyph. Genocide tends to be time consuming.
  15. SNAKE! DID YOU LIKE MY, SUNGLASSES?! I mean, I think there's a Sun in the Overworld, but the glasses of UV Protection? I've no idea, personally. Maybe?
  16. - Soren Monroe, Servant of Shiva's Will - Mystras, Raiden's Study - Soren didn't need to reply to Lord Raiden's warranted question, for Jynn interjected with a justification, something that Soren was grateful for. Not just the reason itself, but being stood up for by the blood of Shiva. Helios and others were all more than willing to join Raiden on this endeavour, though a few questions were raised as to the capability of the Source of All Life, forcing a dour look upon Soren's face as he turned to look more generally at everyone present. "The Source of All Life was devised long ago as a failsafe, for if the World Below endured a cataclysm, man-made or otherwise, we could restore it and all of the souls that perished to life..." Soren uttered, no reverence was in his tone, only calm, yet a sense of foreboding was behind his words. "To accomplish this, the Source is composed entirely of the purest essence...of absolute power. Seemingly infinite energy flows around and from it, in fact, should the need arise, the Tower of Isopolis would be aglow with the aura of the Source, completely engulfed by just the scraps that bleed from the Altar within." He explained as clearly as he could, the sheer magnificence of the Source of All Life and why it was so capable of its purpose. Then a backing of dread set in, the mention of the word "God" by Helios just occurring to him. "However, the Source can do whatever the beholder commands, so the responsibility would be entrusted to only those who would never, ever even think of using it for selfish...or malicious purposes." Soren spoke, hoping not for the worst to come. "So, theoretically, a Fey could indeed take the power and absorb it into themselves...and, for want of a better term...ascend." He added, then became more firm, believing what he would utter next to already be known, but knew it had to be made clear nonetheless. "Which is why Yevgeni cannot be allowed anywhere near it. He's played God once already, let us not allow him to take it any further." Soren declared, picking up his helmet and placing it back upon his head. "I am with you, Lord Raiden." Uttered Soren, who then began to address everyone else, becoming solemn as he did. "You'll all do well to be careful...Isopolis is not kind to the careless. Raiden's Infiltrator did not enter unscathed before he faced me, nor will any of us. You will all be tested!" Soren pointed to them insistently as he went on. "Some of us may not be lucky enough to pass the Trials, I need each of you to understand the risks you'll be taking. Failure to pass the Trials of Isopolis at best will result in denial of passage, but worse and usually, imprisonment until the deed of using the Source is done...or death." Soren ended with a sigh as he spoke of death, yet still, there was more. "I will do my best to guide you all, but be warned: The Trials will adjust and test you accordingly...to who you are. It may prey on your fears, your weaknesses, it may simply seek to test your mettle, or it may even be cruel and subject you to nigh-impossible tasks, I cannot account for all of the variables, but know that Isopolis knows you...and at times, it will seem to hate you, spit on you." Then Soren's spirit seemed to rise. "But should you come out victorious, Isopolis will praise you, just as I will. And hopefully, we'll make it to the Source of All Life before Yevgeni or anyone else who is curious and evil enough to brave the Trials and steal the power for themselves." Soren then gestured to all present, wanting them to be strong for what lay ahead. "Know that I believe in you and that the Overworld and those of the Human World are counting on us to succeed...I only ask, that you make them all proud." Soren concluded, soon enough he relaxed and prepared for their departure to the Forbidden Shrine. - Meksis, the United, Armour of Twilight - Battle of Two Brothers, Kilkis Seres - Meksis's crossbow bolt was a failure and though he was able to close the distance nonetheless to attack his blood brother, Maxis fought back, each successful blow with his axes was met with counterattacks, punches landing upon his chest and stomach, but the ones aimed at his throat were smacked aside as he prepared to retaliate further, only to be met with Maxis vanishing. Neither Meksis had time to think before Maxis delivered a crushing blow to the back of his head, though he managed to resist its potential stunning effects and withstood the blast of Madness Energy, only sliding back a few inches at the cost of his dual axes, which disintegrated. Then it hit him as Maxis spoke: His brother didn't know about the Defiled's continued presence within Meksis, believing it to be purged after the visit to Ivany. The element of surprise was on Meksis's side, so he held off on using the power of Darkness for now. Maxis's friendly tone brought no comfort to Meksis as it once did, for he knew that would melt away sooner or later...he had to save Maxis, he had to kill this God of Chaos once and for all, this understanding brought a more intense aura of Light around Meksis, particularly in response to the Aura of Shadow around Maxis now, who gestured for his brother to attack. So attack he did, Meksis flaring his aura briefly as he began a charge, deciding to go with a Lance and Shield, the former tipped with explosive Light. Meksis knew Maxis had something up his sleeve, even if it were but a simple dodge, so he would continue his charge as a feint, before throwing the Shield at Maxis in whatever direction he moved if he did and would perform a jumping flip over Maxis. During this, Meksis would supercharge the Lance, so that when he threw it, regardless if it hit Maxis or not, the resulting explosion would cause some serious damage. After all was settled and Meksis landed, he would summon a Scimitar to his side, preparing for Maxis's next move. - Nergal, the Queenslayer/Disguised as Brave Kilkis Messenger/Bouncer - Kilkis Seres, Palace Gates - A displeased man was all that lay beneath the Cloak of a Messenger, for Nergal looked at the additional company for a good while. "Why is it I always find myself outnumbered...?" Nergal's internal thoughts rung in his head, as he glanced between them all, listening to Elia Cabret intently however as she vouched for Henry as he stated his lack of desire to cause trouble. The disguised Nergal spoke again in the perfectly feigned voice once more, keeping a hand upon his blade. "Those of us who can sense auras can indeed tell the difference between a Human and a Fey, though you are a mix of both it seems...why else do you possess such power?" Nergal then sheathed the slightly exposed sword and covered it back up with the cloak and stood sharp. "You disarm me with your words, Sister of Ariana. I'm sure the Regent will be pleased to see you." Nergal then gestured to Henry and Elia in a welcoming fashion, yet still firm as a guard. "Come with me, both of you. And stay close. But leave this...other guest." He stated insistently, pointing lightly to Jeremy of Hunter. "The Regent has everything under control regarding feeding the millions, your issue can wait." Nergal uttered, his persona's words were mildly dismissive, but professional, though the true Nergal couldn't care less what he had to say. As he left, he simply nodded in respect to Eclaire, recognizing her as the Queen's Retainer. "Noble Retainer." He simply said, while leading Henry and Elia to the Palace Entrance. --------------------- "My Regent! We have guests! Are you here? They say it is of the utmost importance!" 'The Messenger' bellowed, noticing Yevgeni's absence and hoped he would hear his calling, despite the differing voice.
  17. Hey now, what's wrong with a bit of lycanthropy on the side? Poor Rufus, again. So, how would someone actually free this Genie?
  18. I actually had it in mind, randomly while typing my previous post in the RP, that Soren would wish Rufus free. Don't ask me why.
  19. I'm sorry but, how was Mystics supposed to get your permission when you, again, disappeared for five months without a word? Not even a peep in the Sign-ups or to Mystics? This has been stated multiple times, we couldn't reach you and as such, the plot needed to move forward, with or without you. I'm not gonna tell you what to do, Unversed. I'm not a Mod or the GM of this RP, but I'm going to advise you to stop bringing up the same point repeatedly that has been repeatedly answered already, it'll only frustrate those you're talking with. Yuffie's characters were removed due to a similar situation, conversation about characters notwithstanding, she disappeared just as you did with naught but a whisper. Mystics could not be more honest with you, they're literally telling you straight up that you were gone for five months without telling us, your plot important characters were reassigned accordingly and we didn't expect you to come back, let alone want your characters back. So forgive the host(s) for being hesitant to welcome you back, much less with open arms. I had to work to get my place in the RP back and that was before or during the mid-point and I was gone for less time, though still without a word like yourself. I'm sorry if I'm sounding/being harsh, but I just want you to know what's what and how we can settle this calmly and properly.
  20. I must agree with Scrap, to be honest. We're nearing the end as well, though at least you've appeared. I jest, welcome back.
  21. If it were so easy to get into Isopolis, Soren would've been out of a job before his betrayal. Then he'd have to take a side business of making S'mores with Hellfire just to make ends meet.
  22. - Soren Monroe, Servant of Shiva's Will - Mystras, Raiden's Villa, with a rather large Conglomeration now - It would seem that a study was now an optimum space for a gathering, for several more people had entered Raiden's Study, including His Highness, Jynn Venas, a Cyph that de-cloaked upon Raiden's desk which surprised Soren little, for the Cyph race was a difficult one for the Fey to eradicate, much to Soren's displeasure such an act of genocide was. What was surprising was the emergence of the shapeshifter, Helios, the Fey Soren had last met upon the battlefield, on opposite sides a long while ago. Perhaps his talk about the now late Ren Mordecai and such had gotten to him, though the mere thought of Ren brought a swathe of emotions to the already distressed Soren. Joy, yet grief. Pride, yet regret. Hope, yet sorrow. Such a waste of life, Soren could only think, as Ren's death only became more real to him as time passed. Shaking these thoughts away, Soren gave a quick bow to Jynn, then walked over to Helios and Alderon as the former attempted to console the grieving, despairing human King, setting his helmet down to his side and kneeling next to the both of them. Helios's words rang true in Soren's mind, he himself hoping that King Alderon would take them on board and stand tall once more. It was then that Helios addressed the Lord of Mystras and Prince Jynn, whom Soren recognized as King, no matter what, asking a question that forced Soren to spring back up into a stand and look at Helios. "Not until we're all dead we're not...Helios." Soren announced to Helios and by extension, everyone else, though he drifted as he spoke his name...to face him again was...more than a little trying. "You've learned much, I see...it's, good to see you well." He spoke with a little less confidence than he had hoped to convey, but Soren was truly glad to see Helios had not only survived the War, but was here now when someone needed help most. Soren then looked to Rabiyu for a moment. "The secret is safe with me, by the way. None shall know beyond this room." He affirmed, then turned to face Lord Raiden and King Alderon. "Listen to me, Alderon, Raiden, both of you." Soren began, rolling his shoulders, alternating looking between them. "It is no fault of Raiden's that we're in this desperate position, but Alderon is right. If I'm correct, Yevgeni has just destroyed an entire world and murdered countless innocents, all the while posturing as the paragon in all of this and sitting where Jynn ought to be. He has committed more atrocities than the Queenslayer, thus he is our number one concern!" He stated firmly, gesturing to Jynn when mentioned, but he didn't raise his voice beyond an urgent tone. "But if we are to succeed, we must work together, Alderon. Where would you go, otherwise!? Yevgeni has taken your lands from you and scattered them to the empty winds, you have no other option, unless you seek to resign yourself and your race to extinction." Soren's following words were harsh, but he wanted to spur the King into action, because this attack upon Humanity hurt Soren too, though it paled in the face of Alderon's anguish. "If we encounter the Queenslayer on our way, then, well...we'll be hitting two birds with one stone." Soren added, noting that the man is still dangerous despite their more imminent threat. Soren then pondered, briefly looking away from the both of them, before sharply facing Rabiyu. "That lamp is capable of much, but I doubt it would be able to restore the World Below the Sea of Clouds, ahh, the Human World..." He said, correcting himself near the end out of respect for Humanity. "But..." Soren then walked to Raiden and Alderon again, taking a quill and paper and beginning to draw. "When I was the Sentinel to Isopolis, I was charged with guarding the sacred, forbidden shrine with my life, along with managing the Prisons as their Warden. I was never to speak to anyone of what the Shine was or what it contained, only could I say what my duty was, otherwise I was sworn to an Oath of Secrecy." Soren explained, drawing a simple illustration of Isopolis as he did, highlighting the center. "As a technicality, however..." Soren then looked up to Raiden. "I'm no longer bound by said oath." Then he looked to the drawing again. "Along with it being closest to the Human World, hence that Infiltrator of yours deciding it was to be the entry point for Humanity I'd assume, Isopolis contains something truly sacred and legendary." He stated calmly, marking a spot with an X as he put the quill back in its holder. "The Source of All Life." Soren finished, slightly relieved as he revealed Isopolis's closely guarded secret, one that he was entrusted with to guard with his life once upon a time, something that he and a select few knew was real and where it was, though that list unfortunately included Yevgeni. (I assume Soren would know what Isopolis contained, as he was its sole guardian, so I'd think he'd have to know the stakes. That and plot advancement. ) - Meksis, the United, Armour of Twilight - Kilkis Seres, Battle of Two Brothers - Although Meksis's initial stun and barrage of attacks was successful, Maxis soon caught on and broke out of his restraints and prevented a second casting, Meksis's hand was now restrained as he got an uncomfortably close look at his blood brother, particularly the strange liquids and energies leaking out of him, as he had seen previously before the Chaos God that inhabits Maxis's mind destabilized Meksis and his brother escaped. This close to the madness, Meksis was able to feel its power, the presence of the Chaos God bore down upon him and despite Maxis doing the talking, he could feel the deity's presence as if he were the one staring him down and speaking. Maxis quickly retrieved his removed arm from Meksis's assault and delivered a crushing uppercut to Meksis's gut, though it didn't have the intended effect. While he felt something akin to pain, Meksis did not move an inch, electing to tank the punch as he was strengthened by his resolve and a little aid from the Defiled behind the scenes. "You'll soon find out...brother. I wanted to make this quick, for both our sakes." Meksis's aura of light then flared in response. "Now I must fight. Fight, to free you, Maxis, to purge you of this, God of Chaos...this blight upon your mind, I will destroy it this time!" Meksis spoke with a commanding tone, one that he rarely if ever in the last few millennia had to use, but it wasn't by choice, he felt his passive power driving his words as he watched Maxis back off. "The Shadow fears the Light, for that is why it lurks beneath. You have much power, but even a God can bleed. And today, you will suffer me, blight!" Meksis declared, then he was lifted into the air by a Shadow Clone of Maxis, after the real thing had closed in on him to psych him out, allowing the Clone to immobilize him while Maxis prepared to strike with the madness itself empowering his punch. Meksis's hands were still free, so he was able to conjure a metal shield, infused with Light, which blocked the Madness Punch, attempting to throw Maxis's off with a shield bash. He would then replace his broadsword for a small axe that he would bury into one of the Clone's arms, forcing it to release him as he swiftly turned on the spot and rung its neck, destroying the clone, before facing Maxis quickly, his "eyes" glowing brilliantly beneath his helmet as he charged toward Maxis, briefly summoning a Crossbow to shoot a bolt at Maxis's foot to immobilize him and attempt to assail him with two, bigger, but still one-handed axes. - Nergal, the Queenslayer, Disguised as Brave Kilkis Messenger/Bouncer - Kilkis Seres, Palace Gates, facing off with Henry - It seemed to Nergal that Henry wasn't intending to back down, for his stride did not slow, never mind cease. The change of colour to one of Henry's eyes did surprise Nergal, if only a little, but it was curious indeed. Keeping up his facade, Nergal brought out the sheathed blade from beneath his grey messenger cloak and loosened it just a little from the scabbard threateningly with his thumb. "I will not ask you again, Human. Back. Off!" Nergal declared in the same perfectly emulated voice, preparing to do battle if he must. However, the two potential combatants would find themselves interrupted by the call of a stranger, a girl, who wanted them to wait, for she felt she knew Henry it seemed. Killing her would blow Nergal's cover and surprisingly, he would also feel it unnecessary, not to mention reckless even if he weren't trying to hide. In his messenger persona, Nergal decided to show concern, extending his free hand toward Elia in a warning gesture. "Stay back, young one! This man is dangerous and hostile! He intends to bring harm to the Regent!" 'The Messenger' declared in warning, not wishing for Elia to interfere and get herself hurt or even killed in a crossfire, though if she did know him, perhaps she could reason with the Dreadnought...though that seemed incredibly unlikely, or so Nergal hoped.
  23. Damn, now I really feel bad for Alderon. ;-; He was a mighty King once upon a time, now he's surrounded essentially by aliens that he believes don't give a damn about him. Soren's likely feeling terrible as he witnesses the fall of a King into despair.
  24. Arthur is frickin' awesome. And as we speak, Soren is shedding a tear. x3
