  1. In what universe is a few people giving a game a 34/40 troubling? I'll still put in a year's life of my time into playing it and no one review score is going to change that fact, and heck as far as review scores go that's not even a bad score.
  2. No I meant Smash 5, because some of these third party characters might be under a temporary contract so we might get one in smash 4, but lose him/her in Smash 5. I said "might" with a hint of salt, but I'll note that there's other reasons that third party fighters are only featured in the game once (ergo: Snake). Also, this is a pretty tame discussion thread over the Smash Ballet so I have no idea how you can label everyone here as acting like "cannibals".
  3. inb4all the goku fanboys The ballet trolling is getting really annoying, especially from the Non-Nintendo Third party supporters (seriously, f*** off with the Banjo pleas, we're lucky if VC will ever get the Banjo games re-released), and I've been to threads where people would actually threaten others to get a character they like in. -___- I don't want Sora in Smash AT ALL because that would mean more complications in Smash 5 if everyone uses the character competitively and Nintendo can't get the rights for said character anymore. Plus, this isn't Sony All-Stars: Nintendo has a lot of potential candidates for smash 5 that were kind of been pushed aside for awhile (Rhythm Heaven I'm looking at you), so it's time for them to shine for once.
  4. I'm extremely happy with the Super Circuit picks- I can't tell you how long its been since I waited to race on a remake of Cheese Land. I hope the second F-Zero course is there for Nintendo to decide whether newer gamers are interested in a F-Zero game, because it would be stupid if their mentality was this: 200c + 2 F-Zero course = no one would ask for a new F-Zero game. Also, no Kirby Air Ride course is a real downer.
  5. That's why I buy my AAA games physically- my Wii U Basic barely gave me enough room for DKR Tropical Freeze digitally, and Xenoblade X is going to be THREE TIMES THAT SIZE DIGITALLY. -____- Games like these make me wonder if developers are in ca-hoots with hard drive manufacturers. On another note, Xenoblade releases today for all you NA NN3DS owners. I hope all your first experiences was as amazing as mine.
  6. I put so much time and effort in this game on the Wii that my wallet can't really justify a $240 price for both a new handheld iteration and a port, but kudos to Nintendo for distributing the Xenoblade 3DS themes to non-NN3DS users, definitely going to pick up the Main Theme. Also, does anyone know how much internal space this game will take up, because I'm guessing it will be A LOT
  7. Man I really wanted to vote for her, but I don't have another internet browser to vote her with (I heard your previous vote gets deleted if you vote again on the same browser. I'm not sure if it's true, but I don't want to jip Rayman's chances because I already voted for him).
  8. Xenoblade Chronicles X of course. And Splatoon and Mother 4 so the wait for said Xenoblade Chronicles X isn't unbearable.
  9. First a new Direct, and now they announce the Elite rewards on April 1st, it's almost like Nintendo is trying to reinvent the concept of April fools. https://club.nintendo.com/elite-status-gifts.do And if you can't get on their servers here's the full list of games: Really the only gripes I have is that there's technically only two Wii U games on the list, and no physical rewards, but if you haven't played Tropical Freeze now is the time to do it while it's free.
  10. Oh right, I should've provided more links, because this does seem like it could be a hoax. Official Nintendo Direct site: http://www.nintendo.com/nintendo-direct/04-01-2015/ To bad it has to be streamed at the same time when I classes until 9 p.m at night. ;_;
  11. THIS IS NOT A JOKE IT'S HAPPENING TOMORROW AT 3 P.M. PT https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/582890134846197760 The leaks were true up to this point, so I'm stoked. I hope we finally get word of the Splatoon amiibos and at least get a hint of when to expect Xenoblade Chronicles X's release date.
  12. Spyro the Dragon is one of the best games of all time, period. The modern games just don't understand the flow of the original, and would rather sell toys. Unpopular opinion, but I always considered the first game to be better than Super Mario 64 but that's just me.
  13. There's nothing worse than a game developer showing too much of a game that won't be complete for years. Good move on Nintendo's part, and I honestly can't complain since Star Fox U still has a winter 2015 release window to fill that now empty gap, and now they can give that game (and a possible new Metroid) more coverage at E3 (if it's at a stage where they're comfortable at showing it).
  14. On one hand it would make sense for Sony to ditch PS3 backwards compatibility for these kind of blind fanboys to kiss their butt, but it also doesn't make sense since if someone was such a suck up to Sony like you said they would already own a PS3 to play these games. -______- HD remasters are just filler games until bigger AAA titles are released, which isn't all bad every time, but yeah, I agree that the apologists defending these remasters by saying that they're helping the PS4 win this generation with a library of "original" games are becoming obnoxious.
  15. I've played the first Xenoblade to know that Monolith takes a lot of time and effort to make their game experiences feeling fresh even through 100+ hours of gameplay, but this is a borderline insane amount of detail. Recruitable NPUs with their own original Art sets? Hundreds of customizable costume parts that would've been an excuse for a different developer to include as DLC? Absolutely frikking incredible. This is why I condone developers for annual releases because you can't offer an amazing experience like this in just one year of development, and dam anyone who thinks Monolith should've spent the most time prettying up the character models, because when I buy this game I know that it won't spontaneously glitch out every five minutes and that I'll be playing one of the best games ever made. No mech gameplay was a bit disappointing, but yeah, assuming the final image of that mechon-look-a-like is pointing to anything, they're saving information on those until later, which is absolutely fine by me, because the wait will be worth it.
  16. I hope Ru/Lou is playable, because he's by far my second favorite character at the moment, just behind Elma. The new alien species in this game are fantastic. Just when I think this game can't look any better we get another batch of trailers and I am blown off my seat. I know a game like this would take forever to localize but please please please please PLEASE at least be a late Summer release so I can play it when I actually have time. >____<
  17. Why must "mature" always be synonymous with "gritty, drab, and grey"? We have this amazing technology to create these amazing life-like looking worlds, and one that is steampunk influenced, and they choose to put a london fog filter over it. There's nothing in this game that looks at all appealing to me tbh.
  18. Well this is an interesting development: http://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/2vytw6/according_to_screwattack_ubisoft_will_make_a/ Around the same time Rayman was proven false, Ubisoft announced that will say something about him this Tuesday. Nothing pointing directly to Smash Bros, but this was the SAME DAY Sonic was announced for Brawl in 2007, and that made me raise an eyebrow.
  19. Considering: -The artwork of Rayman shown is new -The artwork for Mewtwo shown is also new I'd say there's a 50% of this being pretty legit, but then again we've had a pretty darn convincing Klonoa fanmade fake leak at one point so anything is possible.
  20. Add TWEWY2 announcement to the list....come on, Square Enix you teased something at the end of the iOS port of the first game at least give some announcement as to what it is. -_-
  21. I always use a fighter with a counter move against Captain Falcon, but for any other fighter, full on blocking (not dodging) works the best, because there's a slight lag after his attacks which gives you a good window to strike back, but if you dodge you lose that window. (at least from I've seen time and time again playing against Captain Falcon)
  22. Pretty much knew there was a 90% chance of this being fake, but that doesn't make it any less disappointing to know that Mother 3 is being ignored for Western fans yet AGAIN. Seriously, the Earthbound release on Wii U VC was a huge success and yet Nintendo acts like the third game in the series is a disease, and never acknowledges its existence even though it's actually quite tamer with the innuendos than Mother 2 (which seems to be one of their reasons why they didn't want to re-release it to American audiences). Oh well, back to my emulator.
  23. The best part is, the MGS storyline is so crazy at this point that this could be considered cannon. /jk
  24. Let me save my paradigms I preset, and not change them every damn time I get forced to using different characters. What an annoying, flawed system.
  25. It would've had a better chance at sales if it was released on the PS4 at the same time as the PS3. Justifying a PS4 port based on the sales of the PS3 edition is a really dumb marketing strategy, and I doubt a PS4 port will even happen now.
