I don't think it works like that, the different keyblade things. I mean let's say that you have 10 different Keyblades to choose from. You don't have 10 keyblades, rather you have 10 Keychains. The keychains attached to the weapon are what give it the form you see. Unless I am completely wrong, which will make me look stupid.

It's a bit tricky because BBS came out afterwards. I think they had a different intention in KH2, but because of Birth by Sleep, they made some changes. Not the first time it happened
