  1. Seeing lots of status updates about people eating various things today, so now I'm interested, what're y'all eating for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, snack or other today? (Feel free to post even if you're not celebrating anything today.) My brother and sister are baking a ham, which ew yuck, but I'm making green bean soup for myself, which is my favorite food of all time. Outside of that, we also have a couple of Guatemalan tamales a friend gave us that we'll probably eat later, for dessert I guess.
  2. Home with family (brother and sister, specifically), which is exactly how I want it.
  3. Ratchet & Clank knocked my goddamn socks off. Such a great game for an absurdly affordable price.
  4. Oh, wow, I don't remember that at all. If I did though I would agree with you, totally doesn't count. I thought it was obvious we were all talking about openings.
  5. Um, no? I don't remember ever hearing Sanctuary in DDD and I can't find anything online that says it was. Where in the game are you referring to?
  6. Sanctuary, by far. I just said this somewhere else, but it fits the tone of the series perfectly. (Though the Ray of Hope MIX was great.)
  7. Honestly, yeah, I'd love a remix of Sanctuary similar to the Ray of Hope MIX. Sanctuary is such a good song, it fits the tone of KH so much better than Simple and Clean and has way better English lyrics imo. The fact that Sanctuary has only been in two games always frustrated me.
  8. If we can just get an opening song that isn't some form of Simple and Clean, I'll be happy. It's a decent song, but done to death in these games.
  9. Like an 8 for me. The combat is silky smooth and gorgeous though it seems a bit simple (probably just for the demo) and it has these weird shmup-y elements that I'm not a fan of. (Never played the first NieR so I have no idea how similar it is to that.) Still, it's super fun and has really well paced combat. If you played Metal Gear Rising, this is very similar in all the right ways.
  10. So, that NieR: Automata demo, huh?
  11. Yeah, I bring a messenger bag or backpack with me most places I go and I already bring my 3DS with me; the Switch feasibly shouldn't be much different. (Plus there's a 100% chance they'll sell protective cases for it too.) Also a point I forgot to mention was that if I play games on my phone all the time, my battery's gonna be draining constantly. I'd rather deplete the battery of a handheld game system than my phone that I might really need at some point. That's a wise move. Hell, they might even release an updated version of the Switch by that point (or at least different colors ).
  12. You may want to wait and see if it's a good handheld first; all there is are rumors currently and it'd be pretty foolish to make decisions based solely on that and Nintendo's promises. That is absolutely a matter of opinion. Some people (like myself) hate mobile games because they almost universally fail at actually being fun games; if I wanted to "kill time", I'd just read a book or browse news articles on my phone. Games are a thing that require attention and at least a small amount of skill, and mobile games are almost the antithesis of that. Handhelds are perfect for that niche (and yes, it is admittedly a niche among consumers) and it'd be great if the Switch could surpass the 3DS in that role. I'm just not convinced it's going to totally be able to do that, in no small part due to the complaints you brought up. (plus if you really believe that everything is a time killer then life is meaningless we're all just killing time until we die just saying)
  13. Tied between The Grinch and A Charlie Brown Christmas. Both are great animated classics with fantastic soundtracks and manage to deliver heartwarming messages without ramming it down your throat (which is really impressive for Charlie Brown since Linus literally monologues Bible verses). Y'know, I'm gonna say Die Hard 2, if only because of Murrey Chrissmiss.
  14. Feliz Navidad is always the most festive song that doesn't bore the shit out of me. I've spent all my life in Southern California and it's played all the time down here, so it just feels like home. (Also the Vince Guaraldi soundtrack from the Charlie Brown Christmas special is just perfect and should be near the top of everyone's list.)
  15. Oedipus reads this and is all "Wow, I actually didn't have it so bad."
  16. That's actually a good point; knowing Kingdom Hearts, she's probably got some super secret OP Princess of Heart magic she doesn't even know about that's she'll bust out on my ass. Or she'll just break my firetrucking sternum. Either way, Beast/Prince is a lucky guy.
  17. Hey, you saw the KH2 credits, he's just a regular pretty boy now. What's he gonna do, prince me to death???
  18. Hey, I never said it was gonna work out for him in the end. I'm just saying he's hella powerful without any of them sissy friends Sora babbles on about.
  19. Well he did it to reshape all of reality; the sudden extended family is just a nice bonus.
  20. You all laugh, but Master Xehanort is one of the most powerful beings in the KH universe and he's particularly lacking in the friend department.
  21. If Squeenix actually does what fans want and puts KH3 on PC, the modding scene is gonna go nuts with exactly that kind of stuff. Oh, the possibilities...
  22. YOU'RE DESCRIBING THE PERFECT KH3 SCENARIO Also that's no less embarrassing and ridiculous than his KH1 outfit.
  23. Also, part of why Dead Rising is great is because you can make characters look like complete jackasses (Frank West naked except for a pair of tighty-whities and a Servbot helmet is the ideal way to play) and I'd love for that to happen in KH.
  24. "THIS IS A SERIOUS GAME FOR SERIOUS GAMERS!!" they scream as they team up with Mickey Mouse to swing giant keys at monsters.
