Terra's role in KH3
I seem to be one of only a handful of people who think he's going to be one of the Lights, haha. Mickey does list him as one of the Lights in DDD, and contrary to popular belief Xehanort doesn't say he has Terra (he says that, by taking Sora, he has "two of the lights" -- but I'm convinced he was referring to Sora and Ven, since the latter is still inside the former). Terra is also very light-oriented, and the scene in Blank Points just (for me, anyway) strongly suggests that once Xehanort's hold on him slips, he won't get Terra again. In DDD, Terra presumably was "reborn" somewhere as himself just as Master Xehanort was. Terranort shouldn't exist at present. As for Ven saving Terra, I personally think it'll be the other way around! The end of BBS states that Ven needs his guiding lights -- Terra and Aqua -- to lead his heart back. This goes hand-in-hand with how each member of the trio is depending on the other for their present survival (Ven needs his friends to lead his heart back; Terra fights for his friends and that's what keeps him above the darkness; Aqua finds strength in her friends to keep going through the Realm of Darkness). ...I could ramble on this forever, but. Yes, that's my two cents. c: That is an interesting Star Wars parallel, though!

I don't get why KHInsider said that the Sora vs Evil Baymax picture was drawn by Nomura. Doesn't ...
KHInsider says a *lot* of things without checking first, tbh.

Were you satisfied with the D23 presentation of Kingdom Hearts 3?
I was very satisfied! They actually released more than I was expecting, if you include the Disney Infinity tidbits. I think a lot of fans are forgetting that this is really the first time that the western side of Disney is fully and publicly acknowledging KH as part of the family; as such, the fact that they released as much as they did was actually quite generous. As for the lack of a trailer/gameplay footage, keep in mind that they did release details of the plot of the BH6 world, something they didn't do with Corona. In a way, it was something of a trade-off -- also keep in mind that they might not even have gameplay footage of the BH6 world yet. This game is still very early in development. :]

Terra's wikia page is still so ridiculously inaccurate. This greatly displeases me.
I'M TEMPTED but I've edited incorrect wikis in the past only for someone to come in and make it wrong again. :| Very annoying.

How far along is KHIII?
That's my guess, too. KH3 only hit full development status this year, and Nomura's stated that they're "almost" done laying the groundwork for the battle system. Following that, they still need to actually implement it into the game, add whatever unique touch that each world requires, map out the boss fights, test run the system, fine-tune it, QA-test run it, etc. And iirc, Nomura stated last year that they're still in the scenario-writing stage, which comes before the storyboard stage -- so they're still a long way off from actually doing the script and putting cutscenes together, let alone getting the acting done. The promise of a release date doesn't mean much, realistically speaking; Nomura could simply be ballparking it and say not to expect anything until 2018 or after (which is my guess).

Kingdom Hearts III trailer analysis: Do the chess pieces represent the lights/darknesses?
There's actually a thread in the forums on this, and this comment is the most accurate so far IMO. Looking at the picture in the top post, here's my two cents on clearing up the differences: -The "music note" is an hourglass, likely = YX -The star on the upper left is more like a paopu fruit (Kairi), while the piece in the upper middle looks more like Aqua's Keyblade. -The one labeled Kairi (above the two Guardian pieces) resembles Terra's Keychain, which is a duplicate of the one in the second picture labeled as a potential Roxas/Xion. To sum up all that confusion between that and the forum thread I linked, the seven "good" pieces are looking like Sora, Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua while the only discernible "bad" pieces are MX, YX, Vanitas, Ansem, possibly Saix. I admit that one piece does look like dice, but Luxord is symbolically represented by cards, not dice. I'm holding off on committing to that one.

Ahhh, it did occur to me that those were "Terra" pieces before now, but I didn't notice the wordplay that went along with the shots of them. Nice catch! (I've never understood why everyone thinks Lea is a Light over Terra, though, but that's just my opinion. ) As for the lack of Xemnas, I actually thought that those dice resembled those odd cube things that Xemnas' lesser nobodies used? It's a stretch, but it makes more sense than Luxord at the moment -- plus Luxord is more typically represented by cards, his actual weapon, than dice.

Extra help for the Guardians of light and SOD
ladydualwieldin replied to The 13th Kenpachi's topic Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re MindKeep in mind that Young Xehanort is the only character who has time travel abilities (which were gained from Ansem SOD via the "only by leaving your body behind can you travel through time" rule), so the good guys utilizing it is most likely out of the question. Chances are time travel won't even be a thing outside of 3D again, if I had to guess. That aside, I agree that there has to be more people involved if it's a genuine war, aha.
