Sandman_AP is quite reliable. The fact that he’s a native Japanese speaker and has provided the fans with translations for years speaks for that. Either way I did some research and found another guy’s translation of that interview where Kubo spoke about Oda: “Wow, so apparently this issue was the one where Oda debuted with Romance Dawn, in 3rd, while Kubo was 4th with his one shot.” “Not sure if he’s joking or actually throwing shade, but after debuting below Oda, he says he started to dislike him, lol.” So apparently Kubo really said what Sandman_AP had translated, but it’s not clear if it was meant seriously or not. I guess you have to decide that for yourself.
