  1. WARNING: INCOMING NAG Can someone please explain to me how everyone keeps ignoring an important scene from the end of Dream Drop Distance? The one where it is explicitly stated that the Seekers, including Young Xehanort who instigated the whole mess, went back to their own times to live out their destinies with no memories of time travel meaning that there is no way for any of them to return except for Master Xehanort, Braig, and Isa who already exist in the present?
  2. Wait wait wait wait wait. X was explicitly stated to be 100 years before KH1? I find that to be highly implausible. The average human life expectancy (at least in the real world) is approximately 70 to 80 years so there's bound to be at least one person who had actual first hand or at least second hand knowledge of those events, otherwise everything about the Keyblade War wouldn't be such a mystery. Now if it were 1000 or 5000 years then I can see knowledge of the War being lost to the sands of time.
  3. So we all know that Darkness of one's Heart grows through experiencing intense negative emotions, doing evil deeds, or using the Darkness if one knows how until they eventually go insane or become a Heartless. But is it possible to diminish the Darkness in one's Heart? I know that it's impossible to completely get rid of the Darkness but can it's effects be reversed? Let's use Terra and Riku as an example: the Darkness in their Hearts continued to grow as they used it but they became strong enough to not be corrupted by it (not counting possession by Xehanort) but it's never stated the Darkness goes down, it just stays there. Meanwhile, those who have come back from being Heartless seem to have the Darkness of their Hearts reset to what it was before it started growing. Is coming back from being a Heartless the only method of diminishing the Darkness in one's Heart or are there other ways that are not mentioned in game, only in those damn books and interviews that are never published outside of Japan?
  4. To be fair, the rest of the Organization weren't exactly saints either (save Roxas and Xion): the original six were explicitly evil and two of them still are, Isa and Lea were most likely lured in by promises of power, and who knows about Demyx, Luxord, or Marluxia but whether or not abuse was involved, they were all huge bitches. I mean, they were basically a terrorist group whose "goals" involved basically killing people in order to harvest their souls. To me, the reason was the same reason why they were unfit to become the Seekers: they all grew hearts without realizing it and the years of endless recon and turning people into Heartless caught up with them which is why Larxene joined Marluxia's rebellion.
  5. As I've posted before, I'm of the impression that Braig and Xigbar were active simultaneously during the events of Dream Drop Distance: the Xigbar we see among the Seekers is time displaced like the others as part of an elaborate smokescreen to keep the heroes attention while Braig, Isa, and whoever else are out among the worlds preparing for the big day.
  6. We know that the worlds each have a Heart and the Heartless were attempting to access said Hearts through the Keyholes but why do the the Keyholes exist at all? Why would the core of a world even have an access point that can be exploited? Are they ancient and forgotten maintenance hatches and the Hearts of worlds are just electrical grids? The fact that they can be locked and presumably unlocked means that at least someone is supposed to go in there for whatever reason. And why were they all left unlocked in the first place? You would think leaving the door to the very heart of existence unlocked would be a very bad idea.
  7. I had always assumed that Anti-Form was caused by the imbalance in Sora's Heart at the time and now that he's got that balance back, Anti-Form shouldn't happen anymore.
  8. Isn't it funny how they've adamantly kept the Final Mixes from us for ten years and yet now they've changed their tune so sharply that they're practically throwing them at us?
  9. The part I dislike most is the huge "tell, don't show" problem this series has.
  10. Another thing I've realized is that it won't be much of a Keyblade War when only one of the known Seekers has a Keyblade, unless of course Xehanort plans on possessing all of his other selves simultaneously.
  11. True, she hadn't left until then, all she did was train with the same three people (including Eraqus), and that her Mark Of Mastery exam was really lame, but it must have all been very effective because she still handled all those Unversed and Heartless more or less easily. And yes, time moves differently in the Realm of Darkness but who else can say they've survived non stop assault by Heartless (especially from the scary big ones like the Darkhide) while in the place that the Heartless draw power from and without a way of leaving if they need a break from it?
  12. To be fair, the Heartless did have the home field advantage in the Realm Of Darkness and Aqua still managed to beat them all and survive. Sora may have beaten one thousand in one day but how many do you think attacked Aqua non stop for ten years straight? The closest Sora's ever come to fighting Heartless in the Realm Of Darkness are when he fought the ones in The World That Never Was.
  13. It's a toss up for me. On one hand, Sora has a lot of natural talent and power as a Keyblade wielder that's he's built upon all the while being self taught but he's got a nasty problem of having all of his skills, power, and experience being wiped away which forces him to start from scratch over and over and it's only recently that he's had any official training and he's only now learning new moves. Conversely, while Aqua doesn't have Sora's raw talent, she's been officially trained for years and has been using things like Shotlock and the Command Deck much longer than Sora has, not to mention she's been blasting her way through the Realm of Darkness for ten years straight with a Keyblade that isn't even her own. If these two were to fight, I honestly think it could go either way.
  14. If I'm talking like an idiot again, I apologize. According to Xehanort at the end of Dream Drop Distance (I'm not believing a single word he says because he lies like a crusty old rug but we don't really have much of a choice at the moment), the original X-Blade was shattered by some unknown means into seven fragments of pure Light and thirteen fragments of pure Darkness and he plans to recreate it with the same method. Question 1A) If, according to Xehanort, the thirteen fragments of Darkness were lost in the Realm Of Darkness for eons, how does using thirteen new Darknesses equate to the same thing? Wouldn't that mean he's creating another fake like he did before? Question 1B) If the seven fragments of Light became the Hearts of the seven Princesses, would that mean the thirteen Darknesses became Hearts of pure Darkness as well? And if so, does that mean the reforging of the the X-Blade will cause the hearts of the heroes and the Seekers to erupt from their chests, join together, and coalesce into the X-Blade, including Xehanort's? How does he expect to wield it it if he more or less dies in the process of its making? Question 2) Let's say Xehanort wins and he get the X-Blade and then proceeds to kick off Keyblade War II, how does he expect that to happen if by that point he's the only Keyblade wielder left? Not really much of a war if it's just one person. Are all the Keyblades in the Keyblade Graveyard suddenly going to fly into the sky, travel to all the worlds, land in people's hands and send them into a universe ending berserker rage?
  15. If that's the case then what was the point of possessing Terra? That's one of the things I hate about this series, nothing ever gets properly explained in the games and the books that do explain them are Japan exclusive and even then there's only vague explanations. I'm starting to agree with a bunch of other people, Nomura is a complete and total hack of a writer.
  16. I realize that everything I post on these forums makes me look like a complete idiot but that's only because I'm going by the games themselves instead of trying to find every little interview just to get a vague and cryptic explanation that barely explains anything, especially when the games and the interviews contradict each other.
  17. Just because he has yellow eyes doesn't mean he's part Xehanort, otherwise every single Heartless in the franchise would be part Xehanort. Yellow eyes means that someone or something is a being of Darkness or has been corrupted by the Darkness. Now, if Vanitas had pointed ears, graying hair and a darkened skin tone along with his yellow eyes (just like with Ansem, Xemnas, Xigbar, and Saix) then he definitely would be a Xehanort.
  18. Donald and Goofy have been by Sora and Mickey's sides from the very beginning (of Kingdom Hearts and the entirety of Disney itself respectively) so there's no way I can imagine them not charging into the apocalypse along side their long time friends. The Seven Of Light must clash with the Thirteen Of Darkness but nothing says that the Seven can't have extra help.
  19. Technicaclly, all Roxas is is an amnesiac Ventus taking Sora's body on a year long joyride and Xion is basically a Replica of Sora which technically makes her a copy of Roxas/Ventus as well. Which raises a question: When Ventus and/or Roxas are brought back, will they be two separate yet identical people or will it just be Ventus with Roxas's memories? Or possibly Roxas with Ventus's memories?
  20. What I'd like to see is how Lea reacts when he finds out that three of his best friends (Ventus, Roxas, and Xion) are all technically the same person.
  21. No, this game is absolutely not worth it. First of all, you have to buy Jewels with real money so you can maybe get good medals and even if you can somehow afford it, it's still luck and more times than not it's going to screw you over. And eventually it's going to either completely crash on you or there will be an update bug that makes it completely unplayable which is why I've just recently dropped it.
  22. Before I begin, I would like to apologize if this is already obvious and I'm just really slow on the uptake. Also, spoilers ahead. When I was playing Dream Drop Distance and I got the the part where Master Xehanort makes his grand return, I was under the impression that he was time displaced like all of his other selves because he looked old instead of still having Terra's body but after I did some digging I've realized that I may be wrong. During Kingdom Hearts 1, Ansem took over Riku's body and and after a while turned it into his own. In Chain Of Memories and 358/2 Days, Riku transforms into Ansem whenever he taps into his inner Darkness. Kingdom Hearts 2 has Roxas looking nothing like Sora but looking everything like Ventus and regular Nobodies are just formless and malleable silver blobs. Here's where I'm going with this: bodies in Kingdom Hearts are all formless blobs and it's the Heart inside of it that gives it any distinctive physical shape as shown by all of the examples above which is where Xehanort comes in. In Birth By Sleep, Xehanort possesses Terra and this changes Terra's eyes yellow, his hair silver, and makes his skin a darker color but it isn't a full conversion because Terra's Heart was still in there fighting for control. Now that Xehanort has reformed, he looks like his elderly self again but that doesn't mean his body is old, that's still Terra's body but Xehanort's heart is in full control now. This also adds to the secondary title of this theory: Nobodies are not only called that because they lack a Heart and technically don't exist, but because they're all completely faceless and formless and are now completely indistinguishable from themselves. They are Nobodies in every sense of the word.
  23. But their stories are over because they're dead. Repliku was killed by Real Riku and was no where near a Xehanort to become possessed and Vanitas had fully fused Ventus and subsequently had their heart shattered. I am genuinely curious why people are ignoring the already established rules that clearly explain why neither of these two nor the other time displaced Norts can come back.
  24. Are there retcons? Yes. Does it seem like Nomura is making things up as he goes along? Also yes. Is this still an incredibly enjoyable series despite all that? Definitely yes. So what if Nomura can't keep some things straight, I love Kingdom Hearts despite its flaws. Although I will admit the Dream Drop Distance was a colossal mess.
