With Nomura confirming darker themes and quite possibly deaths, I was wondering if it's possible we could see the first T rated game in the series? I don't believe that Disney would care as long as it's not M. What do you all think?

In DDD in went through some darker things then we've seen him go through. Xehanort nearly succeeded in possessing him, and he was asleep(again) for quite some time before Riku could save him. While this was a display of some of Sora's naivety, he was able to reach the conclusion that he wasn't quite strong enough yet to become a Master and was willing to set off to train and accomplish it. While I agree that the overall development for Sora has been slow, he has show considerable growth if you take in every adventure he's had up to this point. What's different about KH3 is that he will go through trials that he hasn't faced before and, (from what Nomura has been hinting at,) will see a friend(s) die. I think this will showcase Sora's growth and maturity more than anything so far, he hasn't really had the chance to really grow. -
(Not mentioning that it's confirmed that Noruma is definitely making other KH games after this), Looking at the history of KH in general, isn't it obvious that new characters will be introduced in the next saga? Noruma has never been shy about introducing new characters into KH, that's one of the main reasons people who have never played the franchise have a hard time keeping up. There are 27 characters alone that are solely original to the series and i'm willing to bet KH3 will introduce a few more that we haven't seen. I feel like it's pretty clear that the universe Noruma has created has no intention of slowing down.

I could for sure see RG being completely restored in KH3. It makes sense too for some resolution to Kairi's past and her original homeworld. I'm not sure it would be as central to the main plot as suggested here, because the scope of what Nourma has planned for this entry is vast and I wouldn't be surprised to see a larger, more impacting battle would happen in a as-of-yet undisclosed location.

This ties in pretty neatly to the Opening movie in 0.2 where in the end we see Aqua reaching up to Sora out of the water(darkness).However, I wonder if Nourma's implying that there's some aspect of player choice involved in saving her?

While this makes me sad as well, i'm also happy that KH has become what it has and that the release of KH3 is not just a huge milestone for us as fans, but everyone who worked on and loved this franchise since conception. KH is growing and( as Nourma as quoted many times,) not even closed to being concluded. You can definitely sense Noruma's love for it in his words and how he pays attention to what we want and see in the series. As he states, this is everyone's game now. Everyone involved, from the director to the fans, loves this series. I honestly can't wait for the future of this franchise. :lol: :lol:

Side Question: why does Kairi address Lea as Axel in one of the e3 trailers? Is he Axel or Lea?? In DDD we see him return to his human form and his eye markings are gone, the same as in the trailer. He should be a complete human,no?

We haven't seen many world transformations in KH3 so far, with Big Hero 6 yet to be shown there's a chance Sora and Co. will have some sort of costume change. Other than that we have a total of 3 so far, which is a little short of what we had in KH2, with 5 transformations ( 6 if you count the optional Atlantica). So I was thinking about which Disney worlds are left and which ones would be likely to have a transformation. Zootopia immediately came to mind, however the "BIg City" setting is already being used with Sanfrantokyo, making it less likely that another City setting would be used. Yet the world of Zootopia can be varied enough that this wouldn't become a issue. But it's definitely a good chance to give Sora another transformation (although with all the animal themed ones he has this may be kinda uninspired). What other worlds do you think Sora and Co. would have a cool transformation in?

Makes sense considering that KH3 is meant as a finale and that Utada herself has been going through another phase of her career. Fantome was noticeably darker in tone and sound than many of her previous work, and having to make a song that concludes at least this part of Kingdom Hearts, this song I feel fits better than something cheery and uplifting. I have a feeling that by the time then end credits roll, no other song will fit.

While this isn't very surprising,it does shed some insight into the series as a whole and I thought it was interesting that he said ,“The fan expectations and excitement towards Kingdom Hearts III was much more than I had expected."

Big Hero 6 for sure and the Arendale world to be looks fantastic. I am also very looking forward to the Gummi Ship routes between worlds as well, the scale of them must be so much bigger and better than KH2.

Exactly. And Sora is already being hunted by the Organization, which is why it seems that Vanitus will have a part in extracting at least Ventus from him. Vanitus needs his other half after all, I don't think he sees Sora as enough of a threat to not simply resort to defeating him and releasing his heart. I absolutely believe Sora is strong enough to give him a heck of a fight however, but seeing as Sora is, again, being hunted by the Organization, it's difficult not to see that happening in some way. Sora was almost taken completely by Xehanort in DDD after all, he must be seen as vulnerable target to the Organiazation. Noruma himself stated that this game was going to be darker than what we're used to in KH, and there will be surprises that he hopes we'll be okay to handle. Sora being defeated by the Organization in order to bring back Ventus and/or Roxas doesn't seem too far from the realm of possibility.

I thought Roxas and Sora amended their relationship in KH2? Why did Roxas willingly return to Sora?

Roxas obviously has a large role in KH3, with Nomura two days ago* stating,"Roxas is the utmost secret for Kingdom Hearts III. He's the top secret actually for Kingdom Hearts III so I really can't say anything about him." When we see Xemnas addressing Sora in Twilight Town he tells him that the only way to free Roxas is to open himself up to Darkness. This honestly isn't that huge of a reveal, seeing has Roxas was created when Sora unlocked his heart in KH1 and became a Heartless temporarily. So it seems that Sora will, in order to bring Roxas back, will unlock his heart again in some way to achieve it,intentional or not. I think this only begs to ask why Roxas is so central to this part of the story, and seeing as Vanitus will be hunting down Sora for his other half I think that the two, being Roxas and Ventius, will be extracted from Sora at the same time.Everything seems to be leading up to that, but it's all just speculation at this point. Please let me know what you think!

If anyone recalls,in the opening for A Fragmentary Passage, towards the end Aqua is seen underwater and in her eyes we see a reflection of Sora in his KH3 outfit and his hand is reaching down for Aqua to bring her up out of the water. Seems to me symbolic of Aqua being lost in Darkness and Sora being the one to bring her back. Every KH intro has used water and being underwater metaphorically in some fashion, Sora in KH1, Roxas in KH2 both had points in their journeys where they were exposed to Darkness, yet overcame it. Chances are this is exactly what Aqua is experiencing. I also wouldn't overlook the fact that Aqua may have a Nobody by this time, her heart has spent enough time in the RoD and she is seen struggling with Darkness throughout, so that could be another factor here.

In the interview Normua gave yesterday he stated that while he may not have as much of a desire to include as many FF characters into the series as before, he asked us to look forward to future information. I sincerely doubt that the mainstays of Cloud, Sepiroth, Yuffie, Leon, ect… won't show up at some point. In particular Cloud is connected to Olympus so I wouldn't be surprised to see him early in the game.

Wasn't Aqua struggling with hallucinations of Terra in the RoD? She obviously was succumbing to the effects of being exposed to darkness for so long. Aqua's heart being close to Terra's and Terra being possessed by Xehanort makes a enough of a connection, especially in the RoD, to be influenced to Darkness. I agree that if she hasn't simply turned to Darkness herself, she may have been possessed by Xehanort.
