For Playstation and Xbox players I think the 50% off discount may be enough to get them to buy it again. But for the Switch players who purchased the cloud version I feel they should've been compensated better. The PS/Xbox owners get to keep their product with the option to upgrade while the Switch owners are getting a product taken offline. I feel like fair compensation would've been giving them the 1.5+2.5 ReMIX release that's compatible with the Switch 1, as it would run on the hardware they own. Though I get why they wouldn't do that because they probably operated on a loss offering this cloud version for as long as they had.
