    meh, i'd personally prefer to be at the bottom, or somewhere that doesn't get in the way of the actual forum. as much as i like the people on the site, i couldn't care less about their status updates

    I personally do not like it at the top of the forum since it distracts attention from the forum in general. I'd prefer if it could be a bit smaller an to the right like who responds to who's status or an update that says "so-and-so updated their status." The recent discussion box is alright, but it is too large, maybe it could be smaller in width and closer to the forum module. I think the status updates would look best at the bottom or lined up with the forum to the side. /tr...

    Like Cricket said, they're too distracting. I like the idea, but they would probably work better if they were smaller and at the bottom of the page.

    The idea is cool. But being so big like that, above the forums, that's not good. Why don't ya just put a link near the "Last Click" with "Recent Status updated". Something like that... But that big box just doesn't work.

    Everyone... that's not how you use status updates. If someone makes a status update, and you want to reply to it, you go "add comment", you don't make a whole new update. How can I make that clear to everyone..
