NO WONDER MY SPOTIFY ACCOUNT HASN'T BEEN WORKING :( I was literally scratching my head until I saw the news after trying to update one of the anime threads.

There has been a huge DDOS attack, Twitter, Reddit and Spotify have all shut down. The problem seems to be affecting the West Coast of the USA and Europe.

A DNS server turns the names of webpages into IP addresses, which allow your computer to access these sites. DNS servers store millions of these adresses. This DDOS attack has interfered with those DNS servers, so you can't access certain sites.

Imagine if you could only phone others with a yellow pages book and nothing else, then someone comes along and rips up the yellow pages book.

Update-Twitter is working again and so is Reddit I think!

It's a bit irritating for things like this to happen, but there's always some ulterior motive. It's never done for no reason, especially when it's sites like those that get DDOSed.

No wonder I can't login into my college site.  It's right up there in Manchester (New England are is taking the brunt of the attack).

This is what happens when the U.S government relinquishes control of the internet the way they did recently.

Cyber Security seriously needs to be better. Why an attack as big as this has been allowed to happen is beyond me. It's 2016...seriously, it's time we need to get moving on the cyber security front and stop these types of attacks from happening.

Hmm, so that's why my PS3 wasn't connecting onto Playstation Network! It said something about a DNS error!  So it seems that this hack must have had something to do with it, it seems! :O

Tempted to think that Hillary is trying to cover up something xD
