The words from a gentle, woman's voice spoke in the minds of Newborns...This was their beginning...Their birth...
 
-Mei-
 
One Newborn did as the voice said. The figure slowly opened its eyes...And saw nothing but Darkness...
 
The Newborn could not speak...She could only see and feel. It felt itself falling...No...Floating...Drifting down...
 
The Newborn rolled itself over and looked down below. A stain glass platform was below her, shining bright...
It showed the picture of a lion with a red mane...Standing proud and tall upon a rock with its fur flowing through the wind.

The Newborn gently landed on the Station standing. Her looked down to see the reflection of another lion with brown hair along with its yellow fur. Its eyes appeared to be emotionless...

 

The Newborn somehow new...That the reflection...Was her.

 

My name....My Name is Mei.

I am an Unknown.

 

Those words appeared in her mind. She looked at her own hands. They appeared at paws of some sort. On the back of her right hand, she could see a black star marked there...

Falling.....slowly.....

Everything was pitch black....

Falling....slowly.....

Then a small figure was seen in the darkness.....

Falling.....faster.....

After it landed, it appeared to be a girl in witch clothing. The stain glass that she's standing on, has a image of a old wizard in blue and a long white beard.

My name is.... Sabrina.....

I am an Unknown.....

The girl's hair is blonde while wearing a hat of a witch.

The skirt of the girl is black while the top is white. The girl's footwear is appeared to be small black boot with with white shoelaces.

 

....

 

She opened her eyes slowly, revealing beautiful green eyes. She then saw a mark of a black star on the bottom of her left wrist.

The newborn opened its eyes very slowly while falling down....

 

Everything was dark..... it couldn't see anything..... until it looks down.....

 

The newborn landed gently and looks at the stain glass. It has a image of a cartoonish mouse who is black and white, sitting on the top of the steamboat. The background is black and white as well, with cartoonish houses, boats and fishes.

 

The newborn looks at the stain glass that below him and saw his reflection and His eyes look empty. His entire body is black and white, and has wolf ears and tail.

 

My.... my name.... my name is.... Alph....

 

I am an Unknown...

 

There's mark on the back of his neck. It appeared to be a black star.

Ciel Corneille

 

There was no sense of time in the endless darkness. No sound, no nothing, except for a lone single being. A red haired girl by the look of it. It was unable to feel, to sense anything, it was not required for it to do those things, not yet.
And then it came the first sign of it coming into being. The sound of water, and the feeling of drifting away. It looked up, or maybe down? who could tell in this place, she then saw a platform made of glass of different colours.
It was strange, the platform was new, and yet it felt so familiar.
Maybe it was time for It to come into being.
"Where am I? who am I?"
Those questions resonated within her mind. Then came the realization. Its name was Ciel, HER name was Ciel, Ciel Corneille, that was everything she knew for certain.
She was a Newborn, she was an Unknown. And now was the time to leave and find her purpose, to find herself.

Darkness.

 

An infinite void of darkness stretched as far as the eye could see. In its center, a form suddenly appeared. The form, a human figure, descended into the abyss, unconscious. After a while, the figure opened its eyes; it could see nothing. It could feel, hear, think nothing. It was surrounded by nothing.

 

Then, a blinding light flashed below the figure. The figure shielded its eyes; once it could see again, it could a blank platform far beneath it. The figure continued to fall through the void, hurtling head-first towards the platform. As it fell, the platform seemed to gain color: it took on a bright shade of red and the form of stained glass. In the center of the platform, a figure appeared: however, this figure was a featureless black silhouette. Four rings encircled the silhouette, though each seemed to be empty.

 

The figure continued to gain speed in its descent. However, just before touching down, it seemed to slow down. The figure rotated so that its back faced the platform, and it gently settled on the display. The figure was still for a few moments; it tried to force its muscles to move, and managed to stand up. It peered into the glass, noticing a reflection staring back: the face of a young woman was reflected into the platform. The figure raised an arm, and the woman followed suit. The figure glanced down at itself, noticing that it wore the same red and green attire as the woman in the reflection. My name... is Vacum. She thought to herself as she stared at the reflection, noticing a black mark on the woman's cheek. I am an Unknown. She was confused, but the few facts that she knew put her at ease.

 

Within a few seconds of her discoveries, a small white pillar appeared behind her. She turned around and approached it: lying on its surface was a longbow and a quiver filled with arrows sitting atop a folded cloth. She examined the objects. After a few moments, she instinctively attached the quiver to her leg and grabbed the longbow. She notched an arrow and drew it back, taking note of her form. She held the arrow in place; there was nothing to shoot. However, she seemed to know how to defend herself in the need ever presented itself. She took up the cloth, discovering that it was a long black cloak with a hood. She set her bow and arrow down to wrap herself in the cloak. She then retrieved her weapon and held it close. I am Vacum. I am an Unknown. She repeated the sentences to herself as though she was desperate to remember them. She felt nothing, but knew that this knowledge was all that she had. She had to protect it.

It felt like an ocean.

Falling... Slowly.... Forever....

The dark pathway shone no light... The pitch-blackness of this scene was just that.

Falling.... Slowly... Forever....

A glistening, cylindrical figure could be seen amidst the darkness. A single solid purple light shone from it...

Falling...Deeper...Faster

The landing seemed magical.... First the feet fell.... Then the torso... And eventually, the body was planted, standing on the luminescent purple stand.

There was no distinction between anything besides the bright light below.

My name is.... My name is.....

I am an Unknown....

The dark being, that which landed on the small tower, had shed its skin, a glistening power sparkling and erasing the blackness.

My name is....

Beneath the blackness lied a "thing". Her armor, an onyx black and gold set of plates curving her body, had hugged every part of her body, omitting only her inner upper thighs, her feet (held on to the rest of her body by a simple strap behind the ball of her feet) and the top of her voluminous breasts.

My name is....

The "thing's" eyelids were married, an inseparable touch against each other detailing the facial features of her.

In a flash of light, a glowing purple stand embroidered with black thorns appeared. Above it, a shimmering light emblazoned a blade, glistening with black fire, and resembling a sort of chainsaw in appearance and function. At its hilt, a dragon claw seemed to have been drawn. The sword glowed gold throughout, except for two of four diamonds on the sword, it illuminating the abyss in red.

The "thing" stepped towards the light of the stand, toe first, then ball, then heel of each foot, gracefully tiptoeing as a ballerina would.

....

The "thing" reached for the podium-mounted blade. Without touching it, the blade became aroused, rising into the air, its hilt slowly falling to the "thing's" palm.

The "thing" grasped its blade, then dropped her arm to her side. The "thing" twirled the sword in front of her, then above her, looking upwards and twirling in place as she did, and finally after the abrupt feverishness, her arm along with the sword rested at her thigh.

My name is... Astrea....

A burst of light erupted from the altar onto the rest of the stand. The image of Mulan, China's Great Warrior appeared beneath her feet. The girl remained unfazed, facing steps that flashed in front of her.

Her eyelids slowly parted, revealing glistening red eyes, an unfazed look as strong as ocean waves.

A small, white pillar appeared before Mei. Floating just an inch above it was a key...A giant key...A key that had a star on the back of the tip and a yellow star as its Keychain. Mei slowly walked towards the Key, with each step having a cold feeling. She reached for the Keyblade with her right hand. Once she touched it...

 

"GIVE ME THE KEY!"

 

"Don't lose hope!"

 

"You have to find out yourself."

 

"Help me!"

 

"PURIFY!!!"

 

Mei was blown back and tumbled over the stained glass, holding the Key in her hand. She panted, looking up and laying on her back. A rush of images, flashes, people, all came at once before her own eyes. She didn't know what to make of it all. She couldn't process it...

 

Suddenly, the same pillars appeared before the others as well, each appearing with their respective weapon.

 

Then...The Feminine Voice spoke...

 

To all: You have been given a property that defines you...That you must keep, use, and protect. It is your own.

 

The Voice spoke separately in each of the Newborn's minds.

 

Mei. You wield the Light of the Keyblade

 

Sabrina. You conjure the sorcery of the Wand.

 

Astrea. You express your courage through your own sword.

 

Ciel. The Sacred Chokuto and Dagger are yours to keep.

 

Vacum. You control the wind with the Longbow and Arrows.

 

Alph. Show your strength by unleashing the power of the Hammer.

 

 

To all: There are dangers in the place you will enter. These are for protecting yourself from those dangers. Use them with great care.

 

Mei's reaction was to nod as if she understood what the voice said. She then stood from the ground and shook her head. However, in moments, a small dark creature would rise from the ground. Mei pointed her Keyblade at the creature. The same would go for the other Newborns as the dark creature in their Stations.

 

The Voice chuckled in all of their minds.

 

Do not be afraid. It is only a Shadow Heartless. Heartless are one of the dangers to be cautious about...But this one shouldn't worth fretting about. Use your weapon to strike it down.

 

Mei lowered down her Keyblade to take a closer look at this "Heartless". It's the first creature she has seen. The Newborn then took her stance, holding the Keyblade close to her, jumped forward, and swung her Keyblade down on the Shadow Heartless. It went away in a puff of smoke, dissolving.

 

Well done.

 

Another Heartless was rising up from behind Mei, as well as the others who defeated their first Heartless.

 

Behind you!

 

Mei immediately swung her Keyblade around, destroying the black figure quickly.

 

Very good. They shouldn't prove to be a challenge to you at all.

 

Suddenly, the Stained Glass of Simba was becoming dark. Mei was beginning to sink down in the shadowy darkness. She frantically reached for something, but nothing could pull her out...

The darkness...it was suffocating. She fell, but as she looked, she as not alone. WHite twintails flying, the two opened their eyes as their fall slowed, landing on a stained lass window. The girl held a hand to her head, and looked down. Two people, one of golden hair and snow-white wings...one of black coat and raven hair. The two looked at each other. Words, names flowed into their minds, but as it solidified into true thoughts, the raven haired girl eld her head.

 

Your...friend? Roxas, do you think I can be your friend?

 

He's wrong. It's not a sham.

 

MY KEYBLADE IS OT A SHAM!

 

The two stumbled back as pillars raised, each holding a Keyblade. Two Become One...the name flowed into her mind. She grasped it, feeling the instinct to use it...

 

The other girl grasped one, whose name was Oathkeeper's Dawn.

Xion! I like that name!

We're friends. I won't leave.

You're my friend...you're not a sham.

GET AWAY FROM HER!

I love you.

The station began to glow, as the pillars receded.

I am an Unknown.

 

My name...is Noise.

 

 

My name...is Xion.

As the shadows came up, the voice couldn't direct them before the two struck them down. They worked in sync, as if their hearts were as intertwined as the stained glass below. And as the darkness began to devour, Noise turned and covered Xion, wings of light erupting. And they faded into the darkness, together.

None could foresee the fate of two...would become one.

Vacum studied the Shadow that had appeared before her. It was so different from her: its odd, unnatural movements and glowing yellow eyes were haunting, but to her, it just seemed different. She didn't have any feelings directed towards the beast, positive or negative. After a few seconds of watching it, the Heartless leaped into action, trying to claw at her face. Vacum managed to dodge out of the way of its attack and quickly notched and shot an arrow, nailing the Shadow before it could even touch back down on the glass platform. Her arrow tore through it and made the creature dissipate into a black vapor.

 

Before she could take a moment to learn more about where she was, she heard the voice warning her of the presence of a second Shadow behind her. She whirled around and shot another arrow at it, piercing it through its head. The second Shadow vanished in a similar way. Afterwards, Vacum began to sink into the darkness. However, she didn't try to fight her way out. She remained still, thinking that this was her way out of the odd world she found herself in.

when Sabrina received her wand, a strange black monster appeared in font of her. Sabrina watched the Shadow, aiming her wand at it as it moving around strangely. After that, she hit the Heartless with her wand, then used fire at it and then, the heartless disappeared with a black smoke. As she looks around slowly, she heard a voice, warning her that Another Shadow is behind her. She turned around and used thunder at the heartless, disappeared like the other one. After that, the stain glass turned dark and Sabrina was sinking into the darkness, didn't react at all. Just stand still.

 

~Alph~

 

After He gets his Hammer, a heartless approach him. Alph stares at it, with no emotions. Alph then hits The Shadow with his hammer, disappearing along with a black smoke. When he heard the voice, he turned around and hit another heartless as it disappeared like the first shadow. After he eliminated the Shadow, the stain glass of the the cartoonish mouse is covered in darkness. And as for Alph, he began to sinking away into the darkness, and didn't do anything but stands there.

The "thing" named "Astrea" stood in position as a heartless approached her. She slashed at it, the whiring blade tearing through the darkness as the shadow dissipated into thin air, torn into pieces.

 

Behind you!

 

Astrea leapt into a backwards somersault, and aa she landed on the ground, holding in one hand her sword and the other to balance her fall, she blasted herself off the ground and slashed again towards the new foe. She twirled her blade and stabbed it into the ground, her face devoid of any excitement or pride. A dark void, like quicksand, pulled her into itself, yet Astrea didn't flinch, and didn't feel.

There was that voice again. She knew what she had to do, but why did she had to do what the voice told her. Then came the small shadow heartless, Ciel was trying to figure out the creature, the heartless jumped towards her and, with a quick movement of her sword, the shadow vanished.

Well done.

After a couple of seconds another shadow appeared.

Behind you!

Ciel quickly turned around and attacked the creature, makign it disappear in an instant.

Very good. They shouldn't prove to be a challenge to you at all.

And now came the darkness below, some kind of feeling was telling her body to resist, but another was telling her that the darkness was not to be feared, it could be used, controled. The concept of good or bad was lost to the Unknown, but perhaps this would be the opportunity to learn. Without struggling anymore, Ciel sunk into the darkness, it was time to leave that strange place.

Mei slowly awoke and found herself laying on the ground on her front side. She slowly got up from the stained glass floor and looked around. There were more people...Other Newborns...They were all together.

 

She looked down to see the image of three people, laying asleep. One had blonde hair, one had short blue hair, and the last one looked the most muscular out of all of them. (Ventus, Aqua, and Terra).

 

These are your allies...Your family...Your friends...Please protect, care, and trust one another...

Finding herself laying on the ground, Astrea stood slowly, thrusting her sword into the ground to help her rise. She was.... Uncharacteristicaly weak after the battle against those heartless.

 

These are your allies...Your family...Your friends...Please protect, care, and trust one another...

 

Astrea didn't glance towards the others like her around. She just stood... Nothing breaking her glance through the darkness. She sheathed her blade behind her cape and waited for instructions.

And so when the light came back there were more people around. Ciel slowly looked among the other newborns before the voice could be heard again.

 

These are your allies...Your family...Your friends...Please protect, care, and trust one another...

 

Was the voice talking about those in the stained glass, or was it  talking about the other newborns? Ciel was wondering which one of the two.

After they got sunk into the darkness, Sabrina gets up and looks at the other newborns, same with Alph. Alph stares at them with no emotions.

They heard the voice again, wondering who is that person. Sabrina looks at the stain glass, which it has a image of 3 people. One is a young woman with blue, the other one is a young boy with blonde hair, the last one is a young man with Brown hair.

Vacum silently listened to the voice. She studied the people around her: a few had shown up. It seemed to be a diverse group, not that she noticed or cared. They all had the same blank gaze as her. Vacum was unfamiliar with the concepts of friends or family, but she couldn't question them anyway. She also noticed the change in the platform beneath her; the silhouette had been replaced with an image of three people. They seemed to be close to one another; it was a stark contrast from the group assembled on the platform, who were clearly unfamiliar with one another. Despite this unfamiliarity, Vacum at least knew that they weren't enemies and that there would be no need for a fight. It was simply the instinct she felt.

A small shine of light suddenly appeared diagonally above the Newborns. Mei looked at the light as though she wasn't blinded by its appearance.

 

The Closer you are to the Light...

 

Mei reached out her hand towards the shining light to just touch it even though it was far from her reach.

 

The more your shadow grows...

 

The light then disappeared...A shade of darkness covered the Newborns...Mei turned around and looked to see a giant Heartless...A Darkside, standing over them...

As a small light appeared above the newborns, Both Sabrina and Alph looked at the light as well.

 

The Closer you are to the Light...

 

Sabrina continues to stares at the light while Alph raised his hand and tried to grab it, even though it's far away from him.

 

The more your shadow grows...

 

After the light disappeared, a large shadow covered the newborns. Sabrina and Alph turned around slowly and saw a heartless that is very larger than the ones they fought.

It seemed impossible,but the place went darker than before for a few more seconds. No, it was something else, something bigger.

Ciel turned around to see the source of the shade, what she saw made her eyes open wide. The source was one of the same creatures as before, only this time it was bigger. Without waiting for another second, Ciel got into a battle stance.

Vacum gave the Darkside a blank gaze. She didn't feel fear; after all, she couldn't. She stared down the colossal titan before her and quickly notched an arrow. The others were standing still, but she would take action. She pulled back and released the arrow, then watched it soar through the air towards the Heartless.

-Final Station-

 

The Darkside raised its hand and slapped the arrow down before it could make any damaging contact towards it. It tightened its fist and then threw it down towards the Stained Glass platform. The Station then shattered into pieces, making the Newborns fall into the dark void below.

 

But don't be afraid....

 

The light will protect you all.

 

 

-The Island-

 

Mei quickly woke up on the sandy texture on the ground. She looked ahead seeing the ocean for the first time as well as the shining sun.

 

"Wh.....Whe....Where are we?" She asked herself for the first time.
