Link doesn't work

fixed it

I'm glad it wasn't a HMK video. I've got nothing against him, I just feel as though people use his video as the only staple for theories.

To be honest, I never really cares about the timelines, but judging by the condition of the master sword, it mustve been a pretty long time since the last time it was used

100 years to be exact

100 years to be exact

I stopped caring about the timeline after LTTP

I love the whole timeline thing. It brings in lore for the games and just gives me another reason to love it all the more

Breath of the wild takes place before the imprisoning war theory.  I mind is blown once again

Edited by Mystics Apprentice

My main problem with this theory is that he assumes that Breath of the Wild Link is the Hero of Time and just rolls with it without offering much of an explanation as to why.

I hear it's the original that was released in the 80s pretty much remastered and remade. Cuz the demo had the Twin Peak mountains just like the original art link starts the game in the middle of nowhere like the original accept he was in that coffin thing but in both games you pretty much start out in the middle of no where since the Wii U and an nx is more advanced than the nes they can go into more depth and detail. and you meet the old Man just like the original then theres the bore meat just like the original. Very big coincidences

Breath of the wild has to take place before Zelda 2.  proof: The old man says that the kingdom of hyrule has been in decline. The key word is decline. Where on the zelda timeline do we see the word decline? Yes, in the fallen hero timeline after ALBW. zelda 1 and 2 take place in the decline era, so it would make sense that zelda breath of the wild could take place after zelda 2 in the decline era

Pretty much what I thought, it has to be in the fallen timeline, not nesscarly after Zelda 2 but somewhere in that era

That's not true, because according to hyrule hystoria, the "what it" timeline came after Ocarina, and Zelda 1 and 2 were before Ocarina

but according to the timeline it says that zelda 1 and 2 take place after oot, but it's true that zelda 1 and 2 came out before oot came out

My bad, I was judging based off release date, also, this could explain why the master sword looks dilapidated.

oh, I see! breath of the wild could take place in a what if timeline after zelda 2 in which link from zelda 2 "dies" and ganon gets resurrected

The problem is that this assumes that hyrule can't decline in another timeline, say one where hyrule didn't even exist anymore, perhaps? Oh wait, that does exist, it's called the Great Sea.So I'm positive, like extremely positive that this is within the Adult Timeline, during the Era without a Hero. A lot of people deny this title to be a prequel to Wind Waker, because according to legend, the Hero of Time was nowhere to be seen and the people had no one to rely on. Let's take a minute here. That was 100 years before Breath of the Wild. Link awakens in an era that is already filled with destruction. The calamity Ganon has caused this during Link's slumber and because towns are minimal and the inhabitants of the world are rare and few, this Era without a Hero was only known as such, because no one was around to see Link do his work. All of this heroism will go unnoticed especially when the King claims the Triforce and wishes the great flood upon his kingdom.

but what we didn't know is that they aren't just koroks, they are the same exact koroks we saw in the wind waker/hd. I honestly didn't notice that until a few days ago

It's a new timeline after Oot where Hyrule doesn't get flooded.

I think they are talking about the return of the korok race, they didn't specify that they were the one same from the Wind Waker, but they might be since they seem to have the exact same design, but I'm pretty sure well get new designs as well.
