Looks Like Production For The Wii U Has Ended

Posted

Wii U production has officially ended globally. I actually kind feel a little sad to see proction of it end since, in my opinion, it has some great games that I still play today. But R.I.P Wii U. You may have been a failure but you had some pretty neat games. Hopefully the Switch will exceed Nintendo's expectations.

Once Breath of Wild comes out the Wii U finally could rest. Unless Nintendo still releases Eshop games.

I have always thought that the Wii U was merely an extension of the Wii's and used as stalling time for Nintendo to come up with what is now the Switch so I am not sad it's done.

Wii U had been dead to me long before today.

Regardless of what some people think, I'll always love my Wii U. It's a console that has brought me many great gaming and social moments and I have never once regretted my purchase. It's hard to ignore the negatives around the system itself, but when it came to the games it certainly delivered for me. Even when I eventually get a Switch I cannot see myself packing away the Wii U.

I agree 100%. It's a fantastic system with a great library, even if it didn't sell all that well. It's definitely one of my favorite consoles.

Well, it looks like another one has bit the dust! Sad to see that this underdog didn't get the spotlight it deserved, but hey, it had a good run regardless! I never got one of these machines, but I heard many good things, as well as bad! But hey, the Switch is coming, so that marks a new era for the heads of what is called Nintendo! So rest in peace, Wii U, your time to rest has come!
