Thought this was an interesting video to share with you guys, and I agree with some of his points, doesn't mean I still don't love the series, but whatever. Feel free to share your thoughts.

This video is right.

The story has become much more convoluted compared to before that a lay person will not understand the story if they do not play (all) the games in a certain order.

For many of us we may still criticise the game, but what really holds some of us to be great fans are our memories of wasting time finding pleasure while playing this game

 

For instance my younger brother recently watched KHX Back Cover with me. He's only played KH1, 2 and ReCoM. He hasn't touched BBS, Days, Coded, 3D...etc. And even with the knowledge of those 3 games (KH1, KH2 and KHReCoM) he still was unable to make any sense of Back Cover (in fact he fell asleep halfway so we had to swap to another movie). That is saying loads.

Not watching the video but judging for the title that guy is going with the whole plot problem...

I really agree. I'm not as into the series as I was a few years ago.

I really agree with the whole plot thing, since Nomura will have to break his own goddamn rules to make the story work (seriously, KH's time travel logic makes no sense and did not work in its own game).

Square has a lot to do to make me like them again.

He is so right. KH gives me video game blue balls when I think about it, it could literally be SO SO SO perfect but Tetsuya Nomura over complicated almost everything. KH is an over hyped series that doesn't live up to it's own potential, how on earth can you mess up Disney and Final Fantasy? This series should be selling like hotcakes and getting 10s across the board. Not to mention the story is basically trash now. Literal fan fiction

He is overreacting his problem is because it's convoluted?? okay. that makes no sense. He obviously doesn't get KH. its pretty much established since kh 2 that the story will keep adding to the story/ pieces of the puzzle with each game.. I'm sorry i honestly dislike people who think like this, to top it off he kept going out of topic about irrelevant things.

 

and is it really a problem? not really, he's just one guy's opinion. kinda like a random forum post but from a guy who makes youtube videos. I have a problem with this because people follow others so easily and if they watch this video before getting into kh it will seriously hurt their judgment even though most of what he is saying is irrelevant.

 

The only thing that is a problem though. is indeed DDD. but since it should be over after kh3 i'm not worried. and it's not even that much a big one, Xehanort can't change what is supposed to happen, he doesn't know how the present is going to be played out, at least we don't know yet or if the MOM knows either. and because of the time traveling/X mobile game i suspect interesting things to happen for the saga after kh3
