Posted June 24, 20178 yr I could be completely wrong but what if the reason why KH3 is taking so long is because square is making a Kingdom Hearts 3 VR game? they already did it for FFXV twice already. i wouldn't be surprise if what i said comes true.
June 24, 20178 yr I dont know Kingdom hearts has a very fast gameplay and I dont know if you could turn your head so quick. If the camera turns on its own I think that you will get motion sickness though I never had a Vr on my head so I cant say fast this happens

June 24, 20178 yr I don't think so. They are not making a VR game. The reason why it's taking so long is, oh I don't know, maybe that they want to get it right and are trying to improve upon use of the Unreal Engine 4?
June 24, 20178 yr FFXV have the same fighting style like KH3 but they made it work. yea but they turned it into a fishing mini game. are they even still making the first person shooter style Prompto VR game? i don't think there's a way to make KH3 a VR game and keep the same kind of combat. it'd probably be disorientating for the player.
June 24, 20178 yr I honestly don't think that there's VR being planned to be implemented into the game. And in any case, I don't think Kingdom Hearts in general should delve into VR. I think it's perfectly fine as it is now! Edited June 24, 20178 yr by The Transcendent Key
June 24, 20178 yr I think we could have VR in a KH game, but it most likely isn't happening any time soon. The way they could do VR is like a skateboarding game like the skateboards in KH2 but with a more linear path and not many camera angle movements. Heck the best way they could have done VR was a Tron Light Cycle game like in KH3D since that follows a linear path and would be very easy to turn into a VR experience. Though, I have never played VR before and probably won't be able to anytime soon, the closest I have ever gotten to a real VR experience was that I once looked into a Nintendo Virtual Boy but I only looked in it for about a minute, didn't do enough to make it a true VR experience. So I don't think I would want a KH VR experience any time soon, not until I can afford to get a PlayStation VR.

At most, VR could be effective for the mini-game side of things when it comes to the Kingdom Hearts series!
June 24, 20178 yr Hmm, I see what you're saying! At most, VR could be effective for the mini-game side of things when it comes to the Kingdom Hearts series! That's kind of the feeling I got with the new Fishing FFXV game. I feel like that Fishing game is a mini game of sorts of the actual story, which makes me think thay mini games like KH would be the best way to go about making it into a VR experience. I just feel KH would be too complicated if they tried to do the whole game VR style, but just by doing VR mini games, they would be able to pull off the VR experience better than they would if we were trying to do a first person KH experience altogether.

June 25, 20178 yr Author FFXV does not have VR. It only has VR fishing minigame coming soon. they canceled the shooting FFXV VR?
June 25, 20178 yr Honestly, I think implementing VR into the Gummi Missions would be the best use, and it would be AMAZING, especially if they used a Star Fox-esque formula for gummi ship fights. But yeah, if they even do decide to venture into that realm, it will certainly take a while. I doubt it would be an immediately available feature upon release of the game itself. Indeed, that's how I feel about it too! Remember, KH's style of combat is way too chaotic, and applying that to VR would probably make the game developers have motion sickness themselves! It's too big a thing to do! Now for mini-games, since it's more centered on something that's in front of you and it's something that's simpler, it could be done then. But even then, I prefer if KH doesn't delve into VR. At least not yet, anyway. Edited June 26, 20178 yr by The Transcendent Key
