Not sure if anyone has talked about this before but...

 

I am currently playing KH2FM in the 1.5+2.5 ReMIX (yeah I finally had time to do it). So I got to the 3rd Day and as the Twilight Thorn fight cutscene was playing something crossed my mind...

 

Don't you think that the Twilight Thorn Nobody Design resembles like A LOT that of Ephemer's Design?

 

I mean...

 

Imagine Ephemer's transition into a Nobody...

 

The scarf thing, the pointy feet and boots, the gauntlets are alike, even the kinda baggy pants are resembled by this Nobody...

 

So what do you guys think? It might be just a coincidence? Or by a small chance I might have noticed something important?

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me, anything's possible in Kingdom Hearts. They proved that with recent updates in the JP version of Kingdom Hearts Union Cross

One part of me would say that it's just coincidence, but that this point I have no idea what Nomura might be plotting.

If by some reason I am right I feel terrible already thinking of Ephemer becoming a Nobody... on the other hand after KH2 he might be recompleted nowadays. Mixed feelings here :v

Yes I know... If by any chance the Twilight Thorn turned out to be Ephemer's Nobody because of all the similarities then yeah... something bad must've happened to him. But this is just a guess as of now

well nomura is known to write this series backwards so i guess there's no telling what retroactive connections he'll make these days.

Well I saw this from the point of view if Ephemer was transitioned to a nobody. The Scarf is the mayor thing of course. The chest area in the Twilight Thorn opens up in a "square" type of form just like Ephemer's vest opens up, both transitioning to a more skinny "abdominal area". Then we have the arms, people commented that in the new Nomura art Ephemer arms looke "way long" and if you see his gauntlents they are wider on the forearm area. Same happens with the Twilight Thorn: long and gauntlet like arms with a wider open part on the forearm area. Let's go to the legs area. Ephemer uses the typical KH baggy pants (not super baggy in his case) and the TT simulates baggy pants in the form of his legs IMO. Finally we have the feet. Ephemer uses pointy boots and the TT feet are quite pointy. Nobodies designs are exagerated in distance and form since they seem to be capable of stretching a lot, so trasitioning simple details like the scarf and boots into a Nobody version sure adds extra distance.

 

So I'm not confirming or even saying the Twilight Thorn is actually Ephemer's nobody, but they both sure share a lot of similarities in their designs. Maybe Nomura is plotting something but I would mark it just as a coincidence for now. I just think it's quite suspicious since Nomura has said... "there are no coincidences in KH" :v
