Square Enix Holdings have released their financial report for FY2018, which began on April 1st 2017 and ended on March 31st, 2018. Kingdom Hearts III has been reconfirmed for a 2018 release by the Digital Entertainment－HD Games section of the report, alongside Octopath Traveler and Rise of the Tomb Raider, which are scheduled to release later this year.

I am never late. I arrive when I intend to and I intend to arrive this year. Now Square Enix has confirmed my intent as well as Papa Nomura’s intent.

I think the game it's quite spoilerish as a whole and that's why not much info has been released even at this point so EVERYTHING will be quite fresh and new once you play it, hence the reason many people doubt.

I bet it's because of what happened with 2.8, the community got really offended for a month delay lol.

Notice how there is a sudden boom in sales during Q2 of this year, could it be perhaps KH3 will be coming sooner than we think? I mean what other game would cause a big jump like that..food for thought

Keep in mind that FY 2018 is from October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018 which means it's possible that kh3 may release within this timeframe. I did a little bit of research on the huge spike back in FY 2017  which runs from October 1, 2016 to September 30, 2017. Interestingly enough, Final Fantasy 15 released within that timeframe

So its not far fetched to assume that the game will be releasing within the next 4 months considering how much time is left for the FY.
