The newest Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer out of E3 revealed that Pirates of the Caribbean would return as a world. 

 

However this time, Jack Sparrow's voice has gotten an insane improvement. As of uploading this video, we have no official confirmation about who is voicing Jack Sparrow this time (it clearly isn't the same guy).

 

However, there are rumours out there that Johnny Depp actually wanted to return for the role in KH2. But was simply too busy at the time. 

This combined with the fact that he has reprised his role for games before. And that his overall value as an Hollywood actor has dropped significantly since 2005. 

 

There actually seem to be a chance that it is really Depp voicing him this time. I'll update this once we get an official confirmation.

I wonder if there is anyone who does not want to hear Johnny Depp saying "'Sora'".

It certainly does sound like Johnny Depp. The inflections are just bang on accurate and it's absolutely uncanny. I would not be surprised if they were to reveal that it's actually Johnny Depp.

Yeah he does sound like Johnny Depp and I hope it's true that he reprised his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in Kingdom Hearts 3. If not oh well.

This is looking interesting so far...

Just compared it with a couple of scenes from the first film and either it's actually Johnny Depp providing the voice or an exact sound-alike. The two voices are nearly identical.

If that was Johnny Depp voicing Jack in the trailer, I'm fangirling!
