For emotional set ups, KH3 did a good job with that because I bawled like a firetrucking baby the whole game

Because I simply don't believe KH3 has a strong enough narrative to sustain the themes that well

See, that's how wild experiences can be

I mostly sat through KH3 with a dead pan expression

The only time where I actually felt any sort of investment were the first Twilight Town cutscenes, The Final World segments, and the final MX battle

But, then again I cry at every single KH game

But, KH3 made me BAWL

None of the other moments actually hit me because they seemed to happen without much fanfare

I felt so invested throughout the game

"Oh, it's Xion.

...

What the hell are you doing here?"

I was like "aww yeahhhh here we go!!"

Yeah, sorry but that's not enough for me

At this point, I don't think it does much to continue keeping the narratives separate throughout the games, becuse it feels like all this fanfare had buildup already

Yeah, much build up

I've kinda stopped viewing them all as a book, and all as chapters, because that's basically what they are now

It's like if you read a book and decided "No,i only want to read chapters 1,3,and then the last one"

counting kh2 as the third game here,i.e.,the third chapter

Yeah, I actually have many more problems with all this

Mostly on what relates to the roles the characters had, the story beats and the framing of the narrative

I have discussed most of this to death with Quid already, by the way

And we have reached interesting conclusions regarding how similar our experiences and feelings are

The forefront is mostly that most of the game felt haphazardly thrown together and the red product felt unsatisfying

Well, sorry about that, but I just don't feel the same way about Kh3 and it's issues, since it feels like the series has always been pretty flawed. But I think it's simple to look past them ?

Yeah

I could write essays upon essays on why I think that KH3's flaws are that more apparent

I'm with Ellie on this one

honestly, I'd just wrap it up to a few short sentences.. It's really not that deep of an analysis. And that aside, I.. don't think it's that much more apparent than anything prior.

Yes, because you're the arbiter of how deep analysis could be upset

If it's not that deep of an analysis then I guess the people at KHInsider and KH13 are wasting their time trying to figure out why they didn't like KH3 as much as they wanted to

You kinda misunderstood why I said that ?

Yeah, sure

I'm sorry, I'm just interpreting the words as you write them

Me: "I could write essays on why I think KH3's flaws are more apparent"
You: "It's not that deep of an analysis"
