Because they spent a year together working to help Sora,so Riku and Namine can be a thing

I dont know KH2 made it kind of known that Namine and Roxas wanted to be together

Sora and Kairi are the only canon pairing
Next to possible Aqua and Terra

And yet Xion exists now

Xion I always considered as Roxas friend

It's true that we also have Larxene that kept her sentiment from Elrena, so maybe nobodies are attracted like their real counterpart

But Xion had more of a connection to Riku
