it's a disappointment to a very noisy portion, the size is impossible to know

SE didn’t transition to the HD era well

But as it stands we've gone basically two whole generations without a unanimously good FF

And KH for what it's worth

The last genuinely good FF was 10

And I mean mainline

And even that was pretty barebones

Even DQ was on DS

Until very recently

It's funny 13 got criticised for linearity. Something 10 didn't even try to hide

So what was the deal with 13? I've heard people didn't like the linearity but was that it?

No

15 is a fire no doubt

Square side of Square Enix aren't doing so hot

They didn't like the characters, the linearity, the auto battle system or the fact that Xbox owners had 4 discs

Disc complaints seem nitpicky to me but I was used to two or more disc games

The issue with the combat I think is that the game doesn't really introduce much use for it till the very end of the linear portion of the game. A.k.a Barthandelus 1

God I hope X-3 is a thing

Retcon X-2 as much as possible

Before that people could just use auto battle and occassionaly Paradigm Shift

13 then jacks up the difficulty for any postgame content. Yes please make X-2 irrelevant

But didn't they release an audio version of X-3?

it was just audio drama

The conversation started when they showed adult version of Yuna and Tidus for dissidia

I think the director also said he'd like to do a X-3 at some point
