The plot is fine Nomura just needed to fix the pacing in the game and maybe add a couple things

Plus, don't forget that they had a sudden engine switch, so time was ticking with trying to get everything together

So, while the pacing wasn't perfect

It's just weird that one of the longest complaints was "slow pacing" but here we are with very fast pacing, but it's actually too fast, lol.. obviously there needs to be balance to a plot's pacing

there's no doubt about that

KH3 had other great things

Slow pacing would be if things were happening, but slowly

That's because the problem is not that important events fold out slowly, the problem is that extremely small events that are of no substance to the plot overall happen between worlds while all the important events start happening after 25 hours of fooling around pointlessly looking for the Power of Waking

it's like FFXIII... i'll go back to topic real quick but it's an example... The writing is actually rather good for XIII, but... The scene direction hurts that narrative and makes it seem worse than it is

The Power of Waking is one of the most terrible plot devices in this series, I'll tell you that

It's abstract in what it does and especially on how to obtain it, there are no guidelines or steps on how to obtain it, Yen Sid just expects Sora to learn it somewhere, somehow

That's why whenever Sora says "sorry Mr. Disney backwards, I haven't got the power of waking yet", there's nothing Yen Sid can really say other than "just keep trying, lol"

Because it's aimless and just a poor excuse to visit the Disney worlds, an excuse that doesn't pay off in any way, shape or form because Sora apparently just had it "all along" and would activate it when the right moment came

"The right moment" is also known as "when the writer deems necessary", by the way
