Persona 3... that is my top game, because it helped me work out major, personal issues.

And i'm aware how... awful, design-wise, it is that you can't control all your party members.

Yet,i'll think of any excuse why it makes sense

I'll say "oh, it's because it supports how lonesome the character is"

or "Oh, it supports the thhemes of struggle"

Persona 3 is probably a game i'd view with my biggest rose-tinted glasses yet over KH

I understand that

but right.. back on topic

oh,and the other being xIII, i guess

Would you say I have somehow applied the same thought process when it comes to KH2?

Good

seasalt_shinji

Because I'd definitely argue I haven't

Because fundamentally, the logic is there in the point.

Look, I'll say this again

And I'll forever say this

I like KH3

I think it's a good game

A great game, even

But it didn't hit the high notes emotionally, did it?

And you know what, maybe all the problems I have with it are purely subjective

To be honest, no, it did not

And I'm still trying to figure out why

No game has perplexed me as much as KH3

I'd say in that regard, if it didn't do anything for an indivudla.. perhaps it is not that great, then. But obviously, people could go in circles about this, because while someone may dislike any gmae(this is general now,not particularly KH3), ther will always be those who like it.. So in that regard, perhaps there is somthing in the game that's enjoyable to people.. but because of how Kh's nature has always been with its charm....

I'm constantly trying to figure out and sort out and find out why the game didn't work as well for me as it did for other people

I'm still figuring all this out

That's actually definitely true

Like.. dang,i can't think of somethign that's always actively called charming

You could ask people what they think the charm of KH is, and some answers would be similar and others would be different

but yeah, let's use KH since that's the topic here.. it's what you just said, basically.

There's people who entirely love Sora, and the KH cast, completley ignoring diseny and FF, because they just find the KH characterss charming.. maybe someone is in it for the disney, and that's what's charming

Or maybe someone is in it for the FF, and the fact it's there, that's charming

Or maybe because the... weird, gombo... mishmash... puzzle piece... cluster narrative... is charming

Honestly, there's a lot of reasons

That's the funny thing

Many people had more problems with the way the actual Kingdom Hearts characters were handled than with the lack of FF characters

See how deep this rabbit hole goes?

pain

LOOOOOOL

It is, huh

Okay, so say it with me:

Kh was a mistake

ah

seasalt_shinji

Kairi was a mistake

Oh

love this series obviously, lol, but gosh darnit this is a rabbit hole that doens't stop going ,huh

Oooooops
