hmm he wanted to restore the balance which in itself isn't evil

it's the way he wanted to do it

but by KH3, it was a bit more than just evil

it was for his own curiosity

he firetrucked terra and ven over casusing their pain so evil totally

I definitely agree that xehanort is Big Evil

that's why KH3 made it feel so awkward

I also use the end of the boss fight to show that he isn't 100% evil

i think yx is susposed to be the one that wasnt evil but they pulled the joke on us

so Kh3 retcons his evilness to try and make him more "redeemable" but I think they could've still gone with the more darkness less light angle because that could've still worked

KH is not some complex story

Well no, in KH3 xehanorts goal is to destory all the darkness of the worlds with the pure destructive light of kingdom hearts

It's not a complex story

Xehanort is not a complex villain either

it's still relatively simple

his end goal is literally the opposite of what it was in KH BBS

KH3 tried to make him seem antihero-ish but did it terribly

he also wanted to be a ruler and weed out the weak

it was such a pointless endeavor
