gameplay wise i have no issues personally after crit, story at this point im fine with it as is. the xion stuff is what i have issueswith but remind will fix that probably maybe

Story wise? I have more issues now than at release

I have so many issues after having sat through most of those cutscenes again

I feel like I'll have even more if I replay ?

I don't mind the story of kh3 to be honest. nothing so far can beat the insane story of ddd and bbs

critical mode fix the disconnect I had with the story and the gameplay sora seems like he's actually level one now and lost all his power at the start and the demons tide in Twilight Town actually felt threatening, now whether or not critical mode is good or balance or whatever I really don't care I'm loving it a lot and going to revisit quite often

crit mode in 3 is nice :linkusHug:

KH3 story is not all bad to me, just it doesn't come together in a satisfying way imo

and yet it's kinda cool how minus a few thigns most of it still comes together

like all the games coming together is pretty cool

It's cool to see all the different characters together for sure, and to get interactions we didn't have before - but this felt way better on the villain side to me. Like Luxord/Demyx grouping up with Larxene/Marluxia, Xigbar and riku replica and him kinda taking him under his wing etc. Wheras for the protagonists, this didn't feel as good because there was far less time dedicated to it.

Nomura wasnt kidding when he said he felt like the villian haha

in the end, the Trinity trio got the most development which on one hand is a shame but the other trios (not including Destiny) did each have their own games so

it works out honestly, whether people like it or not

cause again, it could be way worse

yeah, like imagine if all of these characters just suddenly came in and there were no other games to start with

and im not defending KH3 for what it did, but what i am saying is that it's not as bad as it's made out to be

KH3 would have given us what we wanted had it come out earlier in the decade and they had more leeway with the worlds

lore wise at least

Although there was a lot of UX stuff in the game, one thing is for sure

Nomura is actually planning the next saga now rather than making it up on the spot like previously

Tbf, after 2fm, he seemed to have a lot of what he wanted in mind

Well, with wayfinder and sea salt, their own games were dedicated to showing how they were torn apart, KH3's purpose was to bring them back together but it happens so fast, that's my issue. And I think that was a problem always destined to happen since 3 didn't need to do much other than have the big battle

and BbS(or i guess,depending where you're at,BBS FM), he also seemed to have an idea of where it'd go

Not ure about Re:Coded tho...

But the secret ending added to sepciically Re:Coded definitely was a major lead-in to DDD

And Yen Sid in that outright says to mickey at the end

"What if I told you, you'd be facing multiple of [Xehanort]?"

Point is, now he has an actual idea on where he wants to take the series

Going from KH1 to 2, it was never planned properly

tho, you're right that right now, the idea is the clearest its ever been

And this is why I want a mostly clean slate

it avoids a lot of hassle with tangling plot threads

so, chuck out BBS and Sea Salt trio, the norts, the apprentices
