KH3 definitely created its hype

Imagine going into KINGDOM HEARTS firetruckING 3 without hype

I dont think it's fair at all to blame disappointment on hype

Hype is part and parcel and KH3 created its own for a good chunk

Essentially this is what I talk about, overhype is something that occurs when you announce a game so early and let it snowball

It didn't live up to the hype that it itself created

It did.. but you can’t deny people also created their own hype

Because it was fun to do so, yeah

Well sure, but is that a bad thing?

Things they got used to for years

people got hyped at the end of the saga and the thought of this being the ultimate kh game

it was neither

How does a franchise stay fresh if there's no one there to carry it?

So 3 comes in not portraying those things with the game,the story,etc..

And they’re let down because they had their perceptions in part from fandom and partaking in fandom ideas.. That aside, hype is healthy for a franchise

Frankly, I think very few people were dearly holding on to theories and if they were that's a little silly.

Creating theories is fun, I go in depth all the time but you should never think that they're gospel truth

That’s what I mean.. sometimes ppl held unto a fandom idea, and there were plenty who built up fandom ideas for years.. There’s tan Sora.. There’s a destiny islands only language.. there’s Roxas hating Riku.. etc

Those kinda ppl sound like tumblr folks o.o

They're their own brand of fandom

i have never heard of a single one of those but okey

But with this game tons of diehards are disappointed
