Playing as her. You the player has agency, and make her do cool things that people were missing. Also, shed actually have an adventure which seems to do wonders for combat training more than Merlin's time forest would

We can have Kairi start off by looking for Sora with Riku

Aqua is her mentor and Lightning can be also part of the adventure

I think having a midgame where kairi discovers what exactly happened to her during the fall of radiant garden would be brilliant
