She then rests in Yen Sid's tower, or whatever, and Sora proceeds to the Disney worlds

It also makes more sense

Yeah all it takes is for Riku and Mickey to lose contact earlier and and Sora jumps in to save

Im hopeful enough for the next game, cause the major problem with 3 was that because of the fact it was the ending to a major arc in the story. SE was desperate to ensure anybody could catch up on what was happening, so much of the game's beginning is stuck in a loop of exposition. Every major event in between worlds has some relation to a past event so they can remind us it happened

which for a fan can be really intrusive

Are you really telling me that after 11+ straight years of fighting in the Realm of Darkness + getting dark-fied and defeated by Sora, she's just okie-dokie to keep on and go to Castle Oblivion

It helped to push a lot of the major events to the last quarter of the game

Yes, it's the victim of being stretched in two directions

It needs to be welcoming to newcomers, while resolving 17 years of hanging plot threads

Yeah honestly, Aqua's rescue should of been earlier so that there was a period in the game where she could recover and look back at what she's been through. It would have been a really good arc for her character too.

I think characters just needed more depth

That's why 0.2 kind of put her in an awkward spot

They did, as you said it is victim to being stretched in two directions. There wasn't enough time to really delve into any of the characters besides Sora, who even then is outclassed by Lea in terms of development within this game.

well depth I guess. He already had reached a stage of development where he was at terms with being a good guy but it needed expansion. There needed to be more stuff about Lea and Isa made clear to us.

His struggle with his memories of Xion was there and all the character moments he had in 358 came full circle

But when it came to his showdown with Isa there was a lot we as viewers didn't understand. It is hard to connect to the feelings between him and Saix since we dont know enough about them

The impact is kind of lost, but i guess once it is expanded we can understand more coming back to it

It just feels like we needed to know at that moment to get the right impact

Honestly it should have been Roxas, Lea and Xion vs Saix

It does feel a bit, "out of nowhere" I guess

Sora feels like an outsider in that fight, and in the gameplay that becomes even more obvious since you dont really have to do anything ?

I think that's another difficulty when it comes to the storytelling in games. Most of what happens needs to involve the playable character, otherwise it would have to be left to a cutscene. So in an anime you could have the main character go and fight the main bad guy while the other characters fight the henchmen, in a way; but in the game, you have Sora awkwardly going from battle arena to battle arena and participating in fights he otherwise shouldn't have to just so we can see the conflicts

That ends up cheapening the conflicts between the characters because they can't do it alone, the playable character has to be there. So they don't get a chance to get a lot of focus on them because we're not seeing things through their lens, but through the lens of who we're playing as

Oh for sure, its much harder with an action rpg like KH because you dont have the typical jrpg element where it's an entire group of characters who are all involved in the major story and can all be controlled by the player. It's even harder with KH because there are just so many characters involved now, which in some ways I think is a pit that Nomura has unfortunately ended up in where trying to create something satisfying for each character is like a bug trying to crawl its way out of a spiders web.

I forgot the substance bugs cant crawl on so it no longer makes sense, but hopefully you get me

I mean it's hard, and I can understand that. Writing a story in general is fricking tough and there's the added pressure of trying to make it so everybody understands like we said. I just think the way Nomura decided to take the series was not a good choice on his part. The moment he started trying to make every minor character mean something to another character and have all those characters battle it out in one place cemented the fact that the story of 3 was never going to be as satisfying as a lot of ppl might have wanted it to be.

Not to say it is something that can't be done but the fact all of it needed to be wrapped up in one game coupled with how it a series that requires two companies to oversee how it is planned out just makes it so much harder to get something ppl wont have an issue it.

That's, like, the nutshell of the KH3 plot

The Keyblade Graveyard is now complete with 37 deaths making it a grand total of 262 deaths btw im counting this and Scala as separate worlds even though they are connected

Nice! Only one more battle to go!

Good luck!

I still have to finish crit. lol

I only played up to Toy Box

I don't know, whenever I start the game I just don't feel compelled to keep going pain

Im still at Pirates. Haven't really played since I last posted about it here, about a month ago nearly

ReMind DLC would be open greatly if there is a Castle Oblivion segment and considering there are memory themes w/ Roxas and Xion, Oblivion and Oathkeeper would be nice rewards for completion.

Doubt we're seeing any more Castle Oblivion

Yeah I am not sure that will happen. I definitely think it will focus in on Xion , even if it isn't the central focus. I just wonder if we will be playing most of it as Sora or will it have a long playable section as a different character.

It would be nice if they added an area to KBG that sora can explore and make the story section be a different character

Right now I think the other characters need more focus
