to be honest 3 single target spells in this game doesn't make any sense

and fire has to compete with blizzard

and you will always pick fire bc the dps is higher

I feel KH3’s magic system is probably one of our best tho, three single target’s aside.. All it takes is tweaking and improving

Remember when we were hyped thinking all keyblades would have different magic tech

And then it turned out there were only two variations ah

there's no situation where you need single target cc in 3

Well you still want diversity between single-target and crowd control, otherwise you have a similar issue of everything is the same except for the broken one lol

I'm ok with only 2 variations

more can ruin the balance

@Amaterasu_1549906707 yeah i agree from a rp perspective it's better than the previous games

you can really be a spellcaster in 3 except on crit

And this game also has loads of RP mechanics too, like the meals.

Critical made meals so much more useful

How would more magic variations mess up balancing (moreso than it already is)

I don't see how having more variation makes the game less balanced

Just design your game well

Well, combos and the like, you could indeed add more, but I know what Liftea means

Consider the fact that you have even more variation of a single thing.. now you have to consider the situations it’ll be used in

single target dps fire is already better than the aoe fire so that's for example a disadvantage of more variations

And what damage that’ll do and why(if there’s factors at play like abilities)

bc aoe fire has a chance to miss

st fire will always hit the enemy

and does the same dmg

There are four variations of magic

Missile, aoe, homing and the ball one with the Pirates keyblade

Forgot about the ball one
